This is a great campground overlooking the Ohio River. There isn't a lot to do in the area other than historical sites and architecture unless you have a boat. The owners are super nice and accommodating. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is in a very small town, and we just chose this based upon family living in this town. SUPER NICE PEOPLE that run this! When we got there, the water lines on the paved parts were not working (frozen, I believe), so we were in muddy gravel. That was a bummer, but they were fixing it. Where we were had no cable, but they let us buy a 100 foot long cable and stretch it across the camp since we weren't able to get on a paved slot with cable. RIGHT ON THE RIVER--a beautiful view. We wished it wasn't so cold, so we could have enjoyed being outside more. We would have rated this higher, but no shower/restrooms or things for the kiddos to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is mainly a 'parking lot' for 5th wheels and campers whose owners want to boat or fish in the Ohio River. Alot of older, run-down campers. There are no shower houses on site. No TV or radio signals. This is not a very clean campground. The sites are extremely small - there is barely enough room for your rig and the awning. I would not want to have a campfire here - the rigs are too close together. The sites next to the river are electric and water only - no sewer. The owners are very nice, but this is not a campground for kids - there are no activities - no pool, playground, basketball court - nothing. I will definitely not return to this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
