Although this park is primarily a long term usage park, there are sites for overnight/weekly stays. The park sits directly on a lake and has boat slips. There is a pool and mini golf. The camp store was adequately stocked. Staff was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our time here and liked the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites are large but tend to be soft when it rains. No gravel sites only grass. There's a definite lack of shade even though the park is full of trees. They just are not situated over the campsites. Office staff is friendly and helpful. One drawback for a monthly stay is absolutely no high speed cable internet or phone available. Luckily the 4g network for our own wireless works pretty well. Restrooms are large and clean but plain service. Definitely no frills. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our fee reflects Passport America rates. We were somewhat disappointed staying here on our way to Indiana. The full hookup sites were taken by 2 other campers so we had to use the dump station on site. Don't know where the 250 sites are as there were no site markers. "Sites" were scattered on grassy areas between roads and water spigots were also scattered and shared by several campers. We did luck out and managed to get a site on gravel/mulch with electric and water. We were able to use our satellite via our Verizon MyFi. While here we toured the area, namely St Mary's Grande Lake and the State Park there. We also toured the town to see historic buildings and buy groceries at a large "new" local market. Although this stop was convenient on our travel north we probably would stay at the State Park which also has Passport America rates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our quiet night in the fairgrounds. And quiet is amazing over Memorial Day weekend. The graduation party wrapped up their nice music before 8pm. Huge oak trees shaded our site one of many in the middle section of the campground. Other sites have trees planted in the last few years. Some sites have no services, ours had electricity only. Both dump stations were clean and well maintained. Our grassy site was long, and almost level. Great dog park in nearby Grand St. Mary's State Lake Park - clean, mowed, and no cost too. This town's historic downtown has a couple nice bakeries, and diner-like "Fountain". And it is a somewhat short drive to astronaut Neil Armstrong's Air & Space Museum. To say even more, we should have bought a Passport America membership this year, as our 2-night stay could have saved us enough to pay for about half the annual membership. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
