We stayed one night on our way to NY. The grounds were neat and clean. The eight pull-through sites did not have sewer. There were bees inside the electric box when we hooked up. The 30 amp electric tripped when we ran the microwave and coffee pot in the morning. There were some low hanging branches on one side of the road going out. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Traveling on the I-80 we needed an overnight spot and this was perfect. Beautifully kept large grassy park with a lake and facilities to large gatherings, spots for long-term visitors, and a large grassy field for pull through overnighters like us. Perfect. Lots of elbow room and a friendly staff. The owners are working to improve the park and decided to not sell it to developers and keep it as a park. What a good thing. The WiFi doesn't work on site but our Verizon phone worked good and satellite TV on the roof came through so we were happy. We were charged $25 but asked that if we used our AC to come back to the office and pay another $5. That was fair. We will certainly stay here again for a night or two if traveling though the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Lovely setting and friendly host. This was an excellent, quiet setting for an overnight stay in one of their pull thrus. The water and electricity functioned properly. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
They only have 39 sites with full hookups. They were rented to extended stay folks and none of them seemed to be there. This is a park like atmosphere with activities that would be found at a private lake. The poor rating is based upon the decline to use the dump station, and the worthless bath house facilities. I was told to use the dump station at Flying J truck stop back at the interstate because it was free. The bath house was made from old non stained wood and was black from water stain inside. You pulled on a chain and received cold water out of a pipe without a shower head on it. The floor was bare concrete that had not been cleaned in forever. There was an old locker in the entrance that has an animal nest in the bottom, where some kind of creature had spent the winter. It had not been cleaned in years. If you just want to stop and stay the night with water and electric, using your own self contained bathroom, this would be all right. The grass was mowed and the lake was a nice touch. We were caught in heavy rain, which slowed us to the point that we could not make it to our planned campground. We called Hubbard and they confirmed they had large, open, level spaces for a 40' motorhome. We arrived after dark and discovered this was a campground we had been to some 10 years earlier in our new 38' MH. We got stuck, the sites were so out of level our jacks would not level us enough to open slides and branches scratched the sides of our new MH. When I recognized the campground we left in a hurry. I wish they had been truthful about the condition of their campground. We spent the night at a nearby Flying J. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly staff. Conducted to site to check for satellite reception Site was gravel. Showers were partially repainted and not heated on our chilly morning. Water flow very slow. The only surprise was a neighbor doing gun target practice one afternoon. Might stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very tight for a 34 foot motor home with toad. Had to unhook to maneuver in and out of space. Steep downhill with narrow driveways. Probably would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A haven it is not! Most sites are permanent. Entry road is gravel, narrow, and rutted. There are lots of trees, and turns are difficult for big rigs. Our site was barely long enough, and water was on the wrong side. We would not use the restroom after one look inside. We will not return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
50 Amp service is complete. Very wooded and quiet. A little tight for some bigger rigs but do-able. New friendly owners in the last few years and they are making improvements. Did not use the bath house so can not comment on. Good for an overnight spot. Easy On/Off expressway. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is just the second season for the owners, but there is lots of potential, and they are working hard. Currently putting in 50 amp service. The owners were friendly and helpful. The park is a lovely wooded setting and quiet. Since there is just a swimming pool and playground equipment, it is not a frantic playland type of park. There are a number of sites that appear to be extended stay, but no one was in most of them, so must just be a vacation location. It is very easy access off the interstate being just one mile up the road and a perfect park for an overnight. We would stay here again and would like to see the improvements over the next few years. Give it a try!! When we looked for this on our mapping program it came up as Homestead RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.
