This campground is very crowded. I had heard great things about it and was very disappointed. The amount of traffic is unbelievable. They have every type of atv driving through the campground. Some of these are able to go in excess of 40 mph and this does not go well with children running around. There was an unbelievable amount of alcohol consumption in plain view, including the beach area. This is without a doubt a "party place" and more for the permanent campers. The sites are packed in side by side. You can tell that making money is a very important factor here. The overnight campers don't seem to be considered important enough at this campground. The scenery is beautiful. The lake and surrounding trails were very nice. But they were so crowded with people driving excessively fast and drinking that it was hard to enjoy. They were supposed to be golf cart, bicycle and walking trails, but, once again they were overrun by larger polaris rangers and similar vehicles that made you think twice about going on the trails. It was a disappointment, because we had heard good things from people that had been there in years past. It seems that this campground has had a tremendous increase in the number of sights in recent years and it truly has affected the atmosphere of the campground. It is not a place for families looking for a quiet weekend. It is more for weekend parties. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
