We understand that this campground has undergone massive improvement in recent years. Campsites were level, and fairly mud-free despite tons of rain. In fact, drainage was excellent despite the heavy rain. Plenty of shade. Some campsites are directly on a pond - a few seasonals were parked there, but there were some empty sites. Nice activity building - good for group use. Did not see if they had showers. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Would stay here again if in the area. The price is right. Restrooms are pretty primitive and look like outhouses from the outside, but do have flush toilets & urinals. Would rate higher if they had a nice bath/shower house. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The price is right, the sites are large, level, and shaded. This is an older park that could use some updating. The bathrooms are out houses that have running water, but are not protected from the elements so were rather dirty. I wouldn't use them and I'm not real fussy. Good WiFi signal. There is a fishing pond for campers use that apparently is stocked. We would stay here again due to price and the Hawk's Nest Golf Course only 2 miles away is one of the best we have golfed. We stayed here to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame, McKinley Library, and Museum. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
