I suspect this park is very busy when the weather is warm. It is right on Lake Eufala. There are sites to suit just about anyone; pull throughs, equestrian, groups, primitive tents. It was quiet. Most of the traffic seemed to be going to the Choctaw Lodge and Casino or the golf course. Staff was very friendly. Fellow in the office was very helpful. My only complaint was the signage. You had to select and make a turn before seeing a sign letting you know whether you were correct or not. The office is at the back of the park so you have no idea what Turkey Flat or Echo Ridge mean until you find the office. There is a lot of literature available in the office covering everything the park offers. I'll be back next spring for the fishing. They are looking for "State Park Partners" to do maintenance and building projects. Might be fun to volunteer for a while. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We spent one night here on the way to Missouri. It's a big park with equestrian trails, marina, swimming area, hiking, boating, and fishing. Nobody was around for directions so we picked a spot in the RV section. It was a pull-thru, full hookup, 30 amp. A couple of hours after arriving, a ranger came to collect the camping fee. I would have like to see better instructions and directions on how to get a site when the ranger is unavailable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
