I enjoyed the Shamadon Resort campground. As advertised, it was all nature. However, the only "upscale" part of the park were the prices. I asked about a trailer rental for my 72 year old in-laws, stating on the phone they would need a washroom in the rental unit. The original invoice was $130 per night. At that price, I was certain it was definitely "An Upscale Resort For The Discerning RVer" even though no photos were available. In actuality, the rental units would have been about average in the early 1980s. After friends of ours stayed in two separate units the weekend before my in-laws did, we were shocked at the condition of the units. (One worse than the other.) After inquiring a couple of times, we negotiated a lower price for the unit on the condition that it was thoroughly cleaned. In my opinion, they should not be renting out these units, period. Not even for $130 for two nights. The campground itself would have been lovely, if a little pricey, but those rental units were too close to nature, and left me with a bitter taste about the management, and the way their treat their customers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is immaculate and extremely well equipped. For example, most sites have two sewer connections, one near the front and one near the back. The power connections are very well constructed, with a separate grounding wire, something very rarely found. Most pads on transient sites are dead level high-grade concrete. The owners obviously are plowing considerable cash into this campground. It is quite far from anything other than farms, so if you want quiet, this is the place. The sites are about half filled with seasonal campers, but the transient sites are very easily accessed. Almost all transient sites have a very good satellite view. The biggest drawback to this place is the very high cost. Even the laundry is expensive. Our rate includes a discount for a seven day stay. Even with the discount, $66 per night is very high in our experience, despite the very good facilities. For this price, we will probably not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We decided to camp here on the basis of other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the CG. The owners were always present, picking up garbage, etc. The pool is somewhat small, but clean. Many of the sites have cement pads. Cement pad could have been larger, but it was OK. There are also “buddy sites” which are a great for groups. Water pressure was OK, but not great. Wi-Fi was very good. We did not use the washroom or shower facilities. We will definitely come here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
