This is a great spot for both tourists and fishermen alike. Lake Nipissing is a very productive walleye and pan fish treasure. There are 14 transient sites but some have been pre-booked. Excellent sand beach and water access with paddle boats, kayaks and canoes plus rental motor boats. Operators are very friendly and accommodating and on site. Distance to North Bay city center is 20 kms., all paved. A treat is the campground wildlife and fowl. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park, clean and neat. Owners were very pleasant and accommodating to any of our needs. We would go back there but stay in one of their clean cottages. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This campground is in a beautiful lake front setting. There are quite a few seasonal campers here, and the sites for transients were a bit problematic. Our site had a big hump in the middle of it and a very branching tree on one side, making maneuvering into a level spot problematic. Staff was very helpful in that they willingly trimmed some branches for us. Other daily sites seemed a bit narrow, and as I write this, a motorhome managed to squeeze in next to us. There aren't a lot of quality campgrounds in this area of the Trans Canada Highway. This one is quite adequate for one night, or even longer if you enjoy boating and fishing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
