Overwhelmingly a seasonal park, which seems to be given over to people who use it as a cottage area. Nevertheless, the owners were kind enough to rent us a seasonal site for a long weekend at short notice once they learned we didn't have kids with us. Couldn't quite understand that, inasmuch as the folks across the road had three teenagers, but never mind, they were very well behaved. Very nicely kept seasonal sites. Arrive with videos, as the on-air TV is dreadful (unless you like hunting, fishing and cartoon programs) and there is no WiFi. Pool looked good, as did the restrooms, but didn't try any of them. All told, it would have rated a higher assessment if they had invested in CATV and WiFi, or at least a high-speed terminal in the office. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Price includes Explorer Club 10% discount. Very nice park, though largely populated by seasonals. Laundry was excellent - clean and inexpensive. Good satellite access. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice view over Lake Ontario. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Agree with the previous positive comments and would add the following: there appears to be only about 10 overnight full-hookup sites; the others are 2-way or tent sites. The washrooms/showers/laundry facilities are MAGNIFICENT! New, quality materials (tile floors & walls), professionally installed and scrupulously clean. Brand new and reasonably priced washers and dryers. Showers are coin-activated, but they don’t say how much time you get per loonie. The only reasons I can’t rate it a 10 are: no CATV and maddeningly weak and slow WI-FI - ‘very weak’ reception and 1 Mbs despite being right under the access point - for $ 3 per day (calendar day, not 24 hours.) Unfortunately the on-line reservation page hasn’t worked for months, despite an advertised fix date of end-May. The pool was medium-size, immaculate and solar-panel heated to 80 degrees with nice shade canopy options. The staff are super friendly and very hard working folks. I wish they would expand their facilities so that more weekend sites could be available. We’ll return for a few days whenever there’s a vacancy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Number of sites includes two cottages that we saw; rate was for full hookup; Good Sam discount available. Several tent sites available and three park models are currently for sale. Beautifully maintained family-owned park with level, gravel sites on the north shore of Wellers Bay. Lots of water activities including boat launching, fishing, canoe and paddle boat rentals. A short paddle to an amazing sand beach. Nice clubhouse with a pot luck and a wine and cheese available when we were there. Electricity averaged 110 volts but went as low as 108 and as high as 120. WI-FI averaged 1.0 Mbs. The pool is heated by solar panels, so should be great in the summer. Although fire wood is available, there's no store, so arrive supplied. Super friendly owners and guests. This place is very popular and was filled on the May long weekend: reserve well in advance during the summer months. Highly recommended; we'll be back if there's a vacancy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
