Site # 157 Stayed here 30 nights. The campground is clean and well maintained. Very few trees throughout the park and none in the north section where 50 amp and sewer is available. The roads and sites are dirt/gravel. The south section is dedicated to the seasonal RVs and most have add-ons, etc. The campground hosts events throughout the season. There are plenty of activities for kids; pool, water features, playground, fishing pond. Tent camping is allowed. Check-in was easy. The office has short hours on most days. A pass is needed for the gate which needs to be re-issued every week. The train can be heard occasionally, but it’s minimal. Sometimes the approach to TOR changes and planes fly over. The only other noise is from the typical weekend camper that thinks they are the only people in the park and make noise until very late. The campground is rather new. They are still adding sites (the area we were in is the newest), improving the playground, etc. Hopefully they will add some trees. In a few years this should be a very nice campground. 50/30/20 electric, although 50 amp is only in the north section along with the sewer. Most of the campground is 30/20 and water only. With no shade the AC ran a lot to keep the RV cool on sunny days. The site is not level; blocks were needed to level the coach. Good quality water. Steady pressure (40 PSI) except occasionally on the weekend. OTA reception is fair with few channels. Internet: Pay. $20 per connection for the month. Good for most Internet activities. Streaming was fair and you cannot stream US sites (ABC, CBS, Hulu, etc) in Canada. Very small laundry, near the pool. 2 washers, 2 dryers. Older machines. Did not use. Same showers as the ones used for the pool and cost for hot water. Did not use, we use the shower in our coach. Large pool. Busy most of the time. Staff pleasant, talkative. Tried to get a different site (with trees) but got no cooperation from staff. They seemed reluctant to let us move. Many events on the weekends which causes the campground to fill up. Remote, quiet area. About 10 miles to shopping, etc. The usual issues with weekend campers. They are there for a few days and plan to get as much in as possible; noise, partying, smoldering campfires, etc. We stayed here because the campground we wanted was full. We will probably find a different campground the next time we are in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Fairly new park with potential. Family oriented with weekend activities for kids. Pool has 1 hour per day for adults only. Basketball, horseshoes, volleyball are available. WiFi cost me $20 for the month, but is soooo slow. Management unresponsive to complaints. I used my cell phone browser and got far better speed. Camp roads are very dark at night with few road lights. Our son fell and injured his knees walking back on the main road to our site after activities. Camp shop has some general items. Nearest decent stores about 10 km away. Management requires every day visitor to pay a fee, this included my Mom & Dad who are in their 60`s and didn`t use any camp facilities! Again, this camp COULD be good in a few years with some changes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Lot's of seasonals but still a very nice place. We used this park a base as we explored the Toronto area. The park is very well kept and the staff is fantastic. Nice pool. Nice play ground. There is a nudist camp near by so when you tell your friends and family where you stayed make sure you are specific so there is no confusion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Beautiful safe campground, lovely pool, clean washrooms. Nice quiet family friendly park. Playground could use updating. It's not really safe. It is a wooden handy man special that makes you a little nervous with little ones (splinters, falls, etc). Owners are friendly, seem to be on a bit of a power trip at times. Not tons for kids to do, but the activities committee seem to do the best the can to organize activities. Not sure if they let in weekend campers any longer (only seasonal) as the info is not on their website. Seasonal guests only. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
