This pleasant park provides a convenient stopping point between Sudbury and Sault Sainte Marie, but is certainly no bargain. The sites are well-spaced but suffer the vagaries of power outlet placement that is typical of Ontario Provincial Parks. The power post for your site may be 6 feet away or it could be 50 feet (or more) off in the woods. The location of water spigots is even worse, with a single faucet serving multiple sites. The park reservation system can only be described as a joke. Prior to my visit on a Monday night, the on-line system indicated that there was only one site available. When I arrived, I was informed by the staff member on duty that “about 100” of the 132 sites were available. Considering the rates charged, I made the decision to avoid Provincial Park campgrounds for the remainder of my summer stay in the province. Note that the rate given is in U.S. dollars and includes taxes, on-line registration and credit card fees. We camped here in a Motorhome.
