We stayed at this park for 1.5 months while doing some work in the area. In brief, this is an excellent park. The owners are extremely welcoming and seem dedicated to running a nice, clean, comfortable modern facility. In fact, we arrived (by pre-arrangement) two weeks before the park was officially open. The owners made several changes to accommodate us. During our stay, they upgraded the laundry, altered their mowing schedule, relocated their Internet access, and generally were very helpful to us. In ten years of full-time RVing, this was the only place that the owner actually washed our truck, though users should not expect that service regularly! On top of all that, the bathroom and showers facilities are clean and modern. The recreation hall, playground, pool, and store add to the attraction here. The price we paid is a monthly rate with some negotiated discounts. We are very pleased with Smugglers Cove and will most definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is primarily a tenting situation, albeit with a few representatives of every class of campers & towables. There was one class A, which appeared somewhat over-dressed considering the milieu. The hookups are side-by-side, with one post serving four sites, but given the number of tents, this caused no problems. Leveling, though, can be a bit of a challenge. The park is a maturely-treed field on a bay shore with no shortage of shade and for once, there aren’t any train tracks close by. The bath houses are dated (gloss-painted concrete blocks) but very clean with plenty of nooks & hooks to stuff your stuff while you shower. Oddly, the shower heads were are eight feet up – guess they grow ‘em tall in the County. The owners seem very adamant about no noise or loud radios, and the clients abide by the rules. The beach is rather minimal and affords a chance to cool off, but the whole point of this park is to serve as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Prince Edward County. I highly recommend it to all and will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Electric and Water at most sites; Sewer only at waterfront and waterview sites. Grassy sites, some not level. Not near much but small beach at campground was good for soaking. Can put a canoe in near beach. 2 washers and dryers in office so access is limited to day time when the office is open. No public pay phone and it is 7 miles to a phone. Was very quiet. We checked out another private campground that has many ads -- very crowded and some with reservations didn't fit in their site. Glad we went with this campground We camped here in a Motorhome.
