It was a decent site. The staff members were friendly for the most part during our stay. The location was well maintained and the folks that attended that weekend were great. It was great to get out of the city and enjoy some fresh air. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We frequent this park because of the vicinity and the beaches. The woodland sites are large and can accommodate our 34' trailer. Unfortunately the sites didn't have the grass cut and they were about 10" deep. However, the park is well patrolled and quiet at night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice in the electric loop, but it's a large park so you have to drive/bike everywhere. Clean and tidy. Washrooms were amazingly clean. Very popular park, so you have to reserve early. Didn't find the beaches that good. Kind of messy with algae and stuff like that. Nice towns close by and a lovely area overall. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This park has several different campgrounds, some with electrical sites, some without. The electrical sites are 2km (1.2 miles) away from the beach, so we stayed in a site with no hookup in order to be closer. Generally speaking, sites have lots of trees, which is nice, but makes backing a trailer in difficult. The electrical sites are more trailer-friendly. Some have trees surrounding them, and there are some that are more like a parking lot. The beach is great - one of the nicest in Ontario for sure. The washrooms are ok - they get cleaned several times a day, but with all the sand from the beach being dragged in with the high traffic, they don't stay clean for long. They are also crowded. Expect to wait at least 15 minutes before a shower is free most of the time. This is a very busy park - a reservation is recommended in the summer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
