242 sites without electric or water (available at central spigots.) Flush toilets are spread throughout. There are no showers in the campground but available just outside the camp (private). The location is what makes this park such a gem and as difficult as can be to get in during the summer. It is on the famous Bruce trail and a 1/2 hour hike takes you to the crystal clear blue waters of Georgian Bay, looking down from high cliffs. There is great swimming including a grotto and other fascinating creations in the limestone cliffs. The campground is located on a small lake with a narrow beach. If you like to hike, this is the spot. If you like to swim don't pass this up! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very well kept family campground. It doesn't have everything, but everything it has is excellent. This is an example of a campground where the details are taken care of. Directional signage is very clear and well maintained, both leading to the gate and within the park. The gravel roads are well mainained. The trees are trimmed back from the roads. The gravel sites are level. Each site has its own power post and water tap (they aren't shared). The location is very convenient to attractions in the Tobermory area. The sites are wooded and private. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice family park but some roads very tight with trees for Class A's; a few premium sites with grass and very level. A small beach across the road on a small bay is available for campers and is owned by campground. Convenient to town (and ferry). We had 30 amp. Pay phone outside of office. Pay showers. A duck pond and a nature trail are on property. Wood for sale for fires in fire ring. Dump station is in back. Nice people own it. They are expanding so might have more larger sites soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Lands End is a very nice campground in a "natural" setting. The sites are are fairly large and most are surrounded by trees. There are not a lot of activities for kids, however, the beach is very nice and there are great docks for the kids to fish from. The campgrounds (including washrooms/showers) were clean and well maintained. It is very close to the ferry and there are a lot of things to do in the area if you like hiking, boating, swimming, etc. I will certainly go back there if I am in that area again. We camped here in a Tent.
Very rude staff, campground is not as portrayed on their web site, dog kennel was a muddy cage under a tree, we stayed one night then paid $10.00 per day cancelation fee ($70.00) just to get away. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very large campground with great open spaces for walking, exercising pets etc., but the few large rig transient sites are much too close together given all the space that's available in the park. Having said that, the park is well maintained and looked after and is very conveniently located relative to all the attractions in the Tobermory area. We looked at a couple of other campgrounds while in the area and don't hesitate to recommend this one as the best in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean and fairly new facilities. Friendly staff who always seemed to be busy with something - hence very well maintained. Some pullthroughs, bit tight access because of nearby trees. Lots of shade sites, and some open sites for satellite access. Overall, this was a very nice park with convenient access to the Bruce Peninsula National Park and town nearby. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice family campground about 1 km south of Tobermory. There are 3 ponds on the property. It's very quiet and pretty. Lots of places to cycle and walk. I've really enjoyed our stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
