A one night stop-over site, not a place to stay for days. Basically paved parking lots striped for RV's with very clean one bathroom/shower stall for each sex. Most occupants permanent. Very friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Virtually the entire park is covered in asphalt, with level sites wide enough to accommodate both unit and car/truck. However, they place the shed couple of feet away from the edge of the line in back. Thus I could not open my opposing rear slide, even tho my first slide hung over the other side of the lot. In other words, not wide enough in back for opposing slides. Clean park with a nice club house. Right on highway 101, thus some road noise day and night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very old campground with limited sewer service and electric amp service varies at every other site and really need fixing here. The 2 campground bathrooms are kept relatively clean. They are large, have hand air dryers, not paper towels. The outlet I tried did not work, and they lack enough hot water for all the numbers of people using them. It is in a prime walking location to both Old Town Florence and to the marina for boating. There is a public fish cleaning station at the boat launch. Boat launching is free if you stay at the campground; otherwise there is a parking fee of $2. This could be called a sportsman's campground as there is lots of fishing and crabbing done here. However, there is no communal facility provided for cooking the crab catch, like other campgrounds in Charleston, so bring cooking supplies with you. It is impossible to get a waterfront site during fishing season. The boat moorage is limited and booked well advance. You might be able to find a site if you book and pay in full 2 years in advance. The booking fee is non refundable on a cancellation. The boat launch works well and is extremely busy during fishing season. Most boaters are courteous. DO NOT leave crab pots in the river unattended, however. They seem to be safe left at the gated campground marina. The online booking does not give you an assigned camp site number on completion of the booking. The online booking is not capable of showing available sites for previous weeks or following weeks dates, just for the date you enter in the beginning. You have to just keep starting over putting in different dates and hope to find something suitable. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Typical government operation. The designer couldn't possibly have been an RVer. Waterfront sites that require a class A motor home to back in (and miss the view), or have 30' of sewer hose. Sites barely wide enough for neighbors to both use their awnings. Gravel pot hole roads and a view of old broken down Port buildings. Friendly office staff. Showers require the equivalent of a two block walk from water front sites. If being within walking distance of hum drum souvenir stores and pubs is your thing then you will like this run down place. We scouted the area and though the pickings are slim, there are better places to stay in Florence. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were excited to reserve a site right on the river. We were not so excited when we arrived to mud puddles in a gravel/mud site and were told after we paid that the water would be shut off by the city the next day. The best things about this campground are its location to old town and the view of the river. The mud and run down sites were the worst part. There are also run down boat storage buildings basically in the middle of the campground. If you want to be in walking distance to old town, stay here a night or two but if you want a nice campsite there are other county and state parks that are much nicer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great value. Great location with lots of trails that start from the campground, including trails that access the beach. The Heceta Head Lighthouse trail was great. You can come back along the Hobbit's trail and beach to make it a loop. There are shorter walks in the area as well. The sites and roads are paved. They have picnic tables and fire rings. Most sites are quite private because of all the trees. The sites can get a little muddy if there is rain. If it rains or if it is windy, be prepared to clean off the top of your rig, slides, and awning. We had a lot of pine needles and branches on our rig and cleaned them off twice. We also had to clean off our car a couple of times because of the branches and needles. No damage was done, but it can make for a loud night with branches hitting the roof. The site was quiet. Most of the large sites were taken (and there were only a handful of people there) so if you have a larger RV, you may have a hard time finding a site if the campground is busy. It was a tight squeeze to get into our site, but fine once we were in. We have a 34 ft Class A. The showers were okay for cleanliness, but like most of the Oregon State Park campgrounds - they could use a really good thorough clean. The water temperature really varied. We had one shower that started hot and then got cold. And then we had another shower that was just cold. Try to use the showers first or not when they are busy if you want hot water. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were attracted to this park because of its out of town location, that it had a Tavern, and a store with a deli. Only part of this is factual. The park has 10 or 12 back-in sites on the lake front, some on grass and some on gravel. The Tavern is real and on given nights the locals enjoy a few cool ones. The store and deli appeared to be no more than a few sacks of chips on a wall and a cooler with a few sodas, a loaf of bread and cheese. The restrooms are the biggest down side. There is one (1) for each sex. They are not heated and there is no shower curtain. The showers remind you of a forest service location but this is a Marina that caters to folks that fish. The plus side of this niche park is the rustic atmosphere with Wi-Fi. The lake views are nice, and there is TOTAL lack of sound at night. The wi-fi was 90% good with speed. After 8PM on the last night it slowed to a crawl. We were going to go to another park in town but returned to this one. There is also a question on the rates. When I first called the lady said it was $26/night. The total came to $28.99 which includes a glass of Bud. The 2nd night I paid in the office/store. The teenage girl told me the rate was $29. I told her of our last night’s stay and then she decided the total fee was $27 which included the Tax. This park is not for 80% of the people that travel. If you like to watch clouds, birds and listen to quiet, this is it, with Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had a beautiful lakeside site although it was a bit small and the neighbors very close. One set of restrooms was terrible, the other great. The fishing during August is pretty bad according to some locals. The manager was nice and helpful but the kids working in the office were clueless and no help at all. A tavern is onsite although it was quiet, thank God. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The overnight camping spaces are 15 feet from the water! It is beautiful! You can fish from your picknic table if you want. Your boat can be tied to the dock not far from your trailer. The park seems quiet and quite secure. They have a tavern and a store with deli. It was fun to visit with the locals after fishing. Everyone seemed so nice. We camped here in a camper.

Nice campground, within a few miles of town. Nice facilities and very clean. The roads are a bit dusty, however. Over air TV is limited. Park has a cellphone amplifier at clubhouse so you can use cell. The clubhouse also has a landline available for local calls. They have 2 dump stations. Although they don't advertise sewer connections, the space next to us had a sewer for $2/night additional. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Decent lodge RV parking. No cable, but like 17 stations on regular antenna. Closest dump is located at the other Florence Elks RV park about 7 miles away located in the country. We expected no pool, no cable, no sewer hookup. Park is a 10 for us based on site space, privacy, asphalt roads and pad, cleanliness, and information on reservation site being accurate. Access to tidal pool area, views of South Jetty, great place to walk the dog. Quiet, reservations provide for no refunds so be prepared. The best we've seen between Depoe Bay and Coos Bay now that Pacific Shores is in decline. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was super clean and very pretty. Host was very helpful but didn't seem to know what sites were available for more than one day at a time, but that probably has a lot to do with their reservation line. Was able to pick up several TV channels with just our antenna. Not sure if you could walk to any sort of beach because the trail was so steep and a long ways down that I didn't even attempt it. There wasn't any place that I could let my dog run. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park, seemingly off the beaten path but only 10 minutes from a large supermarket/discount store and 20 minutes from old town Florence. An ocean beach is about a 10-minute walk. The park’s location protects it from the constant ocean winds. Many trees and a lot of other vegetation provide a nice setting and good privacy between the gravel sites. (Also some sand around the sites, which is not unusual this close to the ocean.) Access is good for most size rigs (probably should call ahead of time if you are over 40 feet.) A lot of the sites do not have sewer or 50-amp power, so you might want to reserve in advance if these are important to you. There is a convenience store at the park but not any other amenities; no pool or playground. Good selection of cable channels. Folks in the office were friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really like it here. There are 8 loops. We stayed in loop H and were close to the showers and toilets. Showers were not all that great. Push a button and the water starts. Push it a couple more times and it will run long enough for the water to get warm (but not hot.) The people were friendly; the park was clean; firewood was available; and the after hours check-in process was simple. If you want to camp near the ocean, don't come here. If you want to see the Oregon Dunes, this is the place. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We are in F270 which backs up to the dunes, but you would never know it since this loop is thick with tall trees and the dunes are over a steep hill to our rear. The dunes are just a short walk away from two separate trails in F-loop. The Verizon cell and data works well; however, the TV via antenna is marginal. The park is very popular for sand dune activities and has several lakes within it's borders. The sites are generous and the park is well maintained. It is very child friendly with a large playground at the exit from F-loop. Florence is just a few miles north and is a very nice town with many small shops and restaurants. Overall an excellent place to experience Oregon Dunes and the Oregon Coast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate was for Passport America. Nice little park with just a few RV spots. More like a mobile home park with a few transient spots. The RV spots are MUCH too close together, I can open my door and touch the RV parked next to me. Wi-Fi is open and works well, no obstacles to satellite reception, and the spot is level. Utilities work just fine. A few grass areas for pets but no dog run. All in all a good spot for one night while driving the Oregon Coast but would not want to be here for more than one day. I found this park to be clean and well maintained but no recent upgrades. The WiFi in the park is excellent and that is not always the case in our travels. It is a very quiet park with just the basics needed to stay. The bath house was clean to start with, but I think my family was the only one using it, so we just cleaned up after ourselves and made sure it stayed that way. Aside form a small rec room with exercise equipment, TV, library exchange and a table for lots of puzzles on the shelves, there are no other activities here. That being said, it worked well for us to park for the week and explore the dunes, Florence and even took a trip up to the outlet malls in Lincoln City and the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. They did offer us a discount for cash, so you may want to ask about that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We're giving this park a "6" rating mostly because it's a good deal w/ PA ($14.50 cash), for this area, and it does have the basics. But the little laundry room has old, rusty machines, the bathrooms weren't cleaned during our 4 day stay, and the manager is never in the office. There are really just 5 sites available: the pull throughs in front. The back-ins are taken by seasonals and perms. It rained every day and turned the grassy sites into a swamp. They do have a library and 3 fitness machines, plus recycling. It's about 5 miles from town. Will return, mostly for the price and area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a clean, quiet park. Sites are grass and fine gravel, near level, shady, in various sizes. Roads are dirt and gravel, adequately wide, in fair condition with shallow ruts and potholes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Verizon data service works, but can be very slow. Wi-Fi works well. Showers are clean, but the hot water runs out too soon. The rate is total for a back-in with water, electric, and cable. A pull-through with full hookups is $32.70. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This would be a 10 if it was closer to the ocean but a very nice park it is. Clean, level, paved sites with planted shrubs and flowering bushes in between. Real clean clubhouse with laundry and bathrooms that reflect the owners care. The lady that works there was most helpful and pleasant. Great spot. I'd stay again. Group rate. Nice park. If one is on the front row of pull throughs at the side of the building know that the left turn to leave can be tight. So swing wide or maybe go up a row or two and then swing back. Pull throughs are wide enough but could be longer so the car does not hang out the rear of the site. Exit to road has a steep up grade that some coaches or trailers with long overhangs might drag so stay alert when you leave. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very little has been done here for maintenance. A contractor is putting a new roof on the Activity Center this week. Two sections are closed (A & C) because of electrical issues. That being the case the whole CG should be closed. 30 amp is poor and several campers had to reset the breakers time after time through the week. Any 2 appliances on and the breaker would trip and the stanchion is inconsistent on each leg. There apparently is the beginning of a new power system but nothing is as it should be. Sewer is available on a few sites and they are hard to find and in demand. Sites are all back-in and require the ability to maneuver the big rig skillfully to make it fit. Interior roads are packed dirt/gravel and turns are tight. Large trees line the roads and sites and add to the adventure. Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is right next door and the beach is close at hand. It seems a lot of work has been started here and abandoned and the campground is a mess. Waste disposal at the back of some sites create the illusion of depth when there isn't so be cautious positioning an RV in some of the sites. There is a lot of shade here, satellite TV difficult, Wi-Fi with our Clear device connected 4 to 6 bars, 3G and cell phones were okay. On the air HDTV found 12 channels. Services are nearby in Florence. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restrooms, showers and Laundry are clean. This is 1 of 4 TTN preserves on the Oregon Coast and I doubt we will be back to this one. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground, very treed. Got a satellite site this time, so really enjoyed the stay. Close to the dunes which is a + & -. You can hear all the ORVs, even though they have a noise ordinance for them. The only reason for the 7 is that it is so treed that some sites are a bit depressing because of being so dark. We would stay again, and have. This is our 4th visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I liked this campground as it is spread out and you are not on top of your neighbor. Sites are large in most places. Guess people don't like the fact that there are trees all over the place but that is great for me. Yes not much sun gets through but that dose not matter to me. My Dish worked good but some sites they don't. If you ask at the gate they will tell you where they work and don't work. Staff was great, pool was real nice, clean laundry room, they have 2 club houses one for all and one for adults only. There several showers and bath houses around the park. Roads are mostly dirt the farther you get in the park. They are upgrading the park to make it better. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice Forest Service campground. Only partially opened when we were here (April), but we walked around the other (closed) loops and everything looked much the same as our loop. 30 amp electric at some sites (like ours); look for "E" on campsite number post. No dump site available. Water at scattered faucet posts (not for hookup--carry a bucket). Running water/flush toilets in restrooms. Very heavily shaded. Our trailer is 34' and we found a site, but I but a lot of the sites would have been too small. The pull-through sites on our loop didn't have electric, our host told us. Don't know about the rest of the park. Some great hiking trails around the campground. Open year round. Fee reflects senior pass discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a terrific campground and park! The sites are private and wooded with ample space. The campground was not overly crowded at all. There were plenty of hikes to be had and area to explore. The restrooms were well maintained. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very peaceful, quiet park with very friendly, helpful hosts. Only Loop B was open at this time of year so just a few sites with electric hook-ups (30 amp)were available. Sites are long and level with a picnic table and fire ring. The one we chose was deeply shaded so we needed lights on inside most of the time. Restrooms were very clean but small. No showers or dump station. Our Verizon mifi worked well but we had no reliable AT&T cell service in the campground. Florence is a few miles up the road for just about anything you need. The price listed is with the Interagency Access Pass. We would stay here again next time through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is boon docking at a casino. The area is well marked and patrolled by security. There is no cost for parking your RV. You must register your RV with the casino, simple process. They do have a quite time from 10 PM to 7 AM. The area is part of their parking lot is paved and fairly level. There are no hookups what so ever. They are probably 30 rigs of every shape and size. Folks have spaced their rigs as to give everyone good space between rigs. Roughly 10 over the air TV channels and cell phones work well. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just outside of Florence, the Three Rivers Casino/Hotel has a large parking lot where RVers are welcome to park. The area was clean and nicely maintained. Although it is only dry-camping, it is a good find in an area where there are not many options to spend the night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is based on monthly site rental. This park is very clean and well located. There is some road noise during the day from highway 101, but very little after dark. We can't say enough good about the owners: great folks. If this park had 50amp service we would rate it a 10. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a well managed overnight or destination RV park. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The owners were friendly and helpful. There were 2 clean laundry facilities. 4 washers and 4 dryers total. The cable TV had over 70 channels and the signal was clean/clear. The Wi-Fi was fast and worked well. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park, typical RV park sites but they offered privacy with large hedges. Sites were plenty large for our RV, car, trailer, and 4 ATVs. There are a lot of rules to follow about pets, ATVs etc, but the result is that the park is quiet and clean and there are no late night rabble rousing party crowd campers here. They do limit how many ATVs owner can camp there. We stayed during the off season and the campground was less then 1/2 full. Dune access for ATVs is easy to get in and out of. I was concerned about how hard it would be to find the entrance coming back from the Dunes but this wasn't an issue. The Family/managers are very helpful and friendly. I would come back here in a heart beat. It's quiet and full hook up's along with TV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park off US101. Sites level and long. Staff very friendly. A bit tight not cramped, I got in and out with our 40'er and 24' trailer. Will stay here again when we go north in the Pacific Northwest. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A beautiful setting with the sand dunes on one side and a huge lake on the other. The rate was for the week. Nice pull through sites that are the widest I've seen in my 2 month trip. And, hedges in between each site for privacy. Sites are gravel, fairly level, but I did need to use my blocks. The family that runs the park is very friendly and helpful. The folks using ATV's in the dunes are put at the far end of the park near the dunes. No noise at all from them. Very clean restrooms and nice laundry with reasonable rates. The park is 5 miles out of town so you do need a car or be content just being in a beautiful and peaceful park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
