A quiet, clean well run park with very good Wi-Fi. The sites are asphalt and level and wide enough to accommodate both unit and car/truck. The RV park is a small portion of a mobile home park and is conveniently located for sightseeing the Florence area and for shopping. It is a good park for a few days stay but not a good park for overnighters because there are no pull-throughs. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Spaces are asphalt with concrete patio; some Rhody's and other plantings between sights. Monthly rate was $350+/- seasonal, including cable, Wi-Fi, full hookups. Each site had wooden storage building included. Phone line available through phone company (start up charge/monthly billing). Very clean and well maintained; quiet - mainly adults. Park has some permanent mobile homes in a different area. Central location. A little rigid about their rules. Overall, I would highly recommend the park, especially for monthly rates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I am giving this a 7 primarily due to location. Adjacent to Old Town Florence with everything within walking distance. Sites and roads are gravel,some very uneven. River site hookups are at the rear of coach so no way to pull in and enjoy river from front windows, also a long sewer run. Tremendous selection of cable channels and easy access to the park. Wish the Port would spend some $$ on this place. Paving, relocated utilities and some privacy between sites could get them $10 a night more easily. I will definitely be back due to the tremendous location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the RV park for exploring Old Town Florence. The whole historic district is within walking distance. The park is lovely with trees and views of the river, even if not parked in a 'waterfront' site. The toilets and showers are built at one end of the park so it could be a long walk for some people. They are large unisex units so a family or couple have plenty of space. The access is controlled by a coded door so privacy is assured even at a public marina. The Wi-Fi was strong, steady and fairly fast. The laundry is being renovated but should be ready by the summer. I would definitely park here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here during high winds when all the state parks in the area were closed. The trees in the campground were trimmed, and very few branches hit our RV. We did not see the washrooms; we only saw public bathrooms so I'm not sure if they have washrooms or showers. They did have a car wash and a RV wash at the entrance. Staff was not friendly so we ended up self registering, but in all fairness, I think they were preparing the campground for the storm. The wi-fi signal worked fine. The sites were on grass, and a few sites had picnic tables, but most did not. The campground is relatively open with a few trees. There are great views of the water from most sites. There is a large gazebo. The partial hook up sites are for shorter RVs. We could not fit our car in our site (34 ft Class A), and we could only fit in the full hook up sites. We are on the river row and it's lovely, so peaceful looking out at the river traffic and shore bird activity. A short walk to Old Bayfront and only minutes from downtown and shopping. Excellent Wi-Fi and cable. The grounds could be neater and a little paint on the storage buildings would help, but there is a lot of atmosphere and we are very content. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Location Location Location As far as facilities go there is room for improvement here, especially the power set up. The power fluctuates and desperately needs to be upgraded to a minimum 30-50 amp all sites. All new restroom facilities, but there was a lack of thought to the design and functionality. There is no counter space near the sink and no convenient place to hang towels or garments, the room is too large causing it be exceptionally cold. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This place could use some help. Couldn't ask for a better location near Old Town Florence on the river but spaces are right on top of each other, grass is dead and no one mows it, maximum stay is 120 days and many of the people here fish and crab and there spaces overflow with stuff. Only decent spaces on on the river but the waiting list to get one of those is at least a year out and the same people tie up these spaces every year. Other spaces either face some run down boat storage building; that is your view or face a run down community area. There are better places to stay in Florence. The Port of Siuslaw is sitting on a gem of a property but appears they don't want to improve it at all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We like this campground. This is our 2nd stay. It is quiet, close to everything. No glitz, but level sites next to the river, good Wi-Fi, good cable TV, great sunsets, QUIET (no trains), affordable golf, and not busy. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in this park for 2 nights. When we went to register we were told we'd need to pay $2 extra for each of our 3 dogs for the 2 night stay, that adds up. Park was adequate, storage buildings and junked machinery around the area where we parked. Nice walking distance, gravel road, and asphalt in the car parking area to farmer's market on Sat and to walk the small town to shop. We also needed extra sewer hoses to connect to the sewer. Pictures on their web site do not show the park as we saw it. We camped here in a 40 ft motor home and had adequate space between each rig. We would have picked a different park in the area but they were all so overpriced. No washers/dryers. The park looked a little rundown. The place served it's purpose but I doubt we'd ever stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our back in river front back in site had a fantastic view of the river. The gravel pads are reasonably level. Our only problem was the sewer hookups on the river front sites were at the end of our trailer when backed in so our 15' hose wouldn't reach. We used the park sewer dump which is on a cement pad with running water. So if bring an extra long hose or be careful of your holding tank usage. The restrooms are open to the public so I would be careful of solo showering after dark. This is a good park because of it's location to Old Town. We are already planning our next stay here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed one night and had a site with water, electric, Wi-Fi and cable TV right near the office: full hookup was $26. The road is gravel and the site a mix of pine needles, dirt and grass, with a picnic table, however was still quite pleasant. This campground is located in close proximity to the marina, which was very busy with the fall salmon run in full swing. It is also within a pleasant boardwalk to old town and very handy. Most shops in old town stay open until about 6 PM. Be sure to stop by the ice cream and taffy store for a special treat. The best taffy I have found on the coast. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This little campground has trees and is located right on the river. It is a very short walk to the quaint little town with good restaurants. Some of the spaces have sewer hookups and some do not. To be on the river, you must call almost a year in advance for reservations. This park is very popular with families that set up tents in the grassy areas around the RV sites. The park is also popular with fishermen and there are boat storage facilities on the property. There are regular security patrols by the Florence City Police. The park is pet friendly and provides pet waste bags. All pets must be on a leash. There are no special activities provided and the facilities are limited. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Location close to Old Town Florence. Shared hookups. My electric was 20 amps, but adjacent site sharing electric box had 30 amps. Manager said it was okay to use the 30 amps if no one occupied that site. WI-FI must be new as manager said it was a secure site and a code was needed to use it. I found it unsecured and there were three park WI-FI sites. I kept getting bumped off and I never did find out why. Sites are gravel with grass between sites. Some sites have a few trees for privacy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park on the water in Old Town Florence. You can walk to the Old Town district which is nice. All sites are back-ins, although some people pull in so they had the water view. Sites are good sized for the location. Nice quiet location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all visit Florence for eating, superb waterfront cafe off 1st street, what a treat. Park very nice. Downside was "firebugs" around camp sites with continuous obnoxious heavy smoke from green wood burning. Strong winds blew all over. Restrooms and showers very nice with exception of smokers who refused to smoke outside. Park ranger stated they rip signs off so they (rangers) don't put back up, go figure. Overall very nice park, would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful campground with a wonderful beach across the road. One of the few state parks we have found with full hook ups. No cell phone service in the area for almost 10 miles in each direction. Very friendly camp hosts. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is what I call the greatest campground I never stayed in. I did find and park in a great site, with a great little hike to the beach. The site was beautiful. However, the pay phone was out of order and Verizon did not work and I needed one or the other. Will stay here someday when the phone is not necessary. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites are paved, level and full service. You are surrounded by woods and each site is individually integrated into the foliage. The beach is within a few minutes but it is accessed by a path through the forest and beach pines within a five minute walk. Once you get to the beach, it is the usual beautiful flat Oregon sand which has a roaring surf and a firm surface for running. If there was Wi-Fi, this would be a 10. Quite gorgeous. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I don't see how anyone could give this place less than a 10. Huge sites, wonderful hiking trails to the beach and to the nearby light house. Very clean restrooms, everything very well maintained as we learned to expect from Oregon State Parks. We loved every minute there though be warned that the hike to the light house is pretty rigorous so be prepared. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only problem we found in this park was getting a satellite signal. Was flooded when we were there, but it had been raining for a couple of days. Nice private sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful campground, - spacious, shaded sites. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach but what a beautiful trail and no soft sand to slow you down. The beach is beautiful, - deserted on a warm September day. We stayed one night here so did not get a chance to explore the many trails. Don't miss Heceta Lighthouse while you are there. Three is a three mile trail to the lighthouse or you can drive the short distance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds: no cell phone coverage, no tv reception, no radio reception, lots of vegetation and quiet. The other review of this site is accurate but we love it anyway. Beach access is by either walking across highway 101 at the campground entrance OR by using the trail located at the far end of the campground that follows a creek under the highway to a secluded spot on the beach. Camp host was great. Neighbors have always been great. We love this place. We have a 27 foot fifth wheel and had no trouble parking in any site we've used. I can see how bigger rigs would be more of a challenge. My wife joked that we should say that this campground is terrible so people won't come and we can have it to ourselves. But we can't do that. There are no reservations at this campground - so come early, pick a spot you can get into, and enjoy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located in a heavily wooded area on the east side of Hwy 101. There is easy access to the beach actross the highway. This park was apparently laid out before the days of bigger RV's. While the sites are very private many are hard to get into with anything over 30' and some don't accommodate slide outs. All sites require some leveling. Power is limted to 20 amps. The sewer hookups are the old obsolete unsanitary 90 degree fittings. Hopefully Oregon has put this park on the "update" list since it is in a great location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wish there were more Elks campgrounds like this, not just lodge parking lots. A nice set-up in the woods, 5 miles from town. Verizon cell and air card didn't work, but park has decent, unsecured Wi-Fi. Cable TV was a bit disappointing: only the networks, no cable stations. Very nice bathroom except for just one, busy shower. Some pull-through sites; mostly back-ins, not very level. Call for reservations, and come early to see your site. We got stuck with a crappy one, though others were empty. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is tough to beat. You must be an Elk in good standing or traveling with an Elk to stay here. The park is beautiful, has blazing fast WiFi, a limited number of cable TV channels, new showers and restrooms and two dumps. Our Verizon barely worked here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are a member of the Elks Lodge this is a real gem. The park has 40 spaces surrounded by landscaped areas that give you the feeling of privacy even though you have a neighbor 15 feet away. The one bad point is that there are no sewer hookups but a dump site is on the property. Since this is on the Oregon coast be sure to call and make reservations. A real bargain on the Oregon Coast. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a campground available only to Elks members and you must show your card at check in. Great open campground with wide back-ins and lots of room on the access roads. Some low screening between sites. Great Wi-Fi signal. Pet-friendly and people are really good about picking up after their dogs. Quiet campground. Kids welcome but there isn't really much to do for them here (at the campground). There is a rentable recreation building (can be rented by Camper Clubs and groups). Lodge in town has special event meals on a regular basis. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in back of the Elks club downtown. They also have another campground about 6 miles north of town. You must be a member of Elks. Nice, paved sites with 50 amp and water. We were able to access the WiFi from our rig. No sewer, but dump at the marina a few blocks away. A little noisy at night from nearby nightclub, but not too bad. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground. Most of the sites are nicely seperated by bushes and trees to keep privacy in place. Our kids love exploring the hidden passageways behind the sites. Site 13 has a great view of the jetty and ocean. The park was not crowded while we were there in late April. The beach is about a mile walk or a quick drive. The park host was very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this park when staying in Florence. Not really close to town but close enough if you have a car. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a hidden gem. Very quiet, private spots overlooking the jetty in Florence. Camped here in motorhome with brother's family in trailer. Had two sites together which was tremendous and very private. Pauline the camp host was hospitable and the grounds are very well kept. No sewer at site or cable, but wouldn't expect this in a county park. Sites are uneven but manageable, utilities conveniently located. Not really near anything so tow vehicle is pretty much mandatory. There is a dump station as you leave campground. Will be back for sure. They do charge $1.25 for showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good public campground with long and generally private sites. The restroom/shower facilities are clean but aging and rather dismal. If you opt to stay without advance reservations you can only book for 2 nights at a time. Reservations get priority and you may be forced to move if one is made for your site. Very nice County Park. Sites well screened from each other by high brush and you don’t feel like you are camping with the folks in the next site. Sites would be a bit narrow if you have a full size RV with multiple slide-outs. No full hook-ups but water and electricity available. Sites paved and very close to level. Very friendly on site host. $10.00 on-line reservation fee. Area appeared neat and clean. Nice small playground for kids. Real nice view out to the Pacific from a shelter. This is a nice clean campground and good location. This campground is NOT near Rogue River at all, as stated in the website. It is adjacent to the Siuslaw River in Florence, Oregon. This is about 3 hours away from Rogue River. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Not all sites have 50 amp power. All do have 30 amp power. Some sites in the east loop are not accessible to big rigs. All sites are very private and most need leveling. Campground manager very helpful and friendly. Reservation price and policy seem prohibitive. Reservations not needed in off season. Park is near the Siuslaw River but it is visible from only 1 site due to dense foliage. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very nice campground with private sites that were a little closed in; tall bushes surrounded three sides of the sites. The campground was well maintained and very attractive. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Harbor Vista Campground was very pretty with lots of trees, great privacy between spacious sites and close drive to ocean. We were disappointed in how poorly the bathrooms were cleaned (if at all) in the week we spent there and we didn't appreciate having to pay 50 cents for a speedy 2 minute shower either. Pay phone didn't work very well (couldn't be heard talking) But the sites were very nice and quiet campground. Compared to other Oregon campgrounds we stayed in, we would return to Harbor Vista again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We did not stay at this park but people should be aware of the somewhat deceptive cancellation policy. The web site says they charge a $10 reservation fee but we were charged $30 when we made the reservation. The extra $20 is the first night's camping fee. When I cancelled, 13 days ahead (one day short of the 14-day minimum) I was told that they would keep the $30. So, they kept the first night's camping fee even though we didn't camp and essentially charged us a $30 reservation fee. This is all clear in the fine print at the web site but many people might miss it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I won't knock this park. It's above par compared to what else you'll find on the central coast. We have always had good experiences and have been lucky to not have noisy neighbors. Very convenient to the best beach access in the area. Sites tend to be a little narrow because of tall vegetation but it's right near the beach so I find it acceptable given the jungle like nature of the immediate area. Will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is operated by Lane County. Sites are all well separated and fairly level and vary from cozy to very roomy. Some sites have 50 amp power - all have 30 amp. The South Jetty Beach is only one mile away. This park is well off the main highway so it is very quiet. Reservations can be made but the fee to do so ($14.00) seems excessive. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice small park. Quite a few long term residents with a lot of stuff around the rigs. Host was friendly and helpful. If you need satellite AND 50 amps, be sure and ask for space #45. We were first assigned to 37 or 38. Chose 38. Satellite on top of rig would not lock in and then found it to be only 30 amps. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground with tall privacy shrubs between sites. In spite of tall trees and shrubs, it was surprisingly windy, so we were glad we didn't choose one of the beach side parks. Check in and information were at the Mini Mart. Staff helpfulness was minimal. We would probably try another CG next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Not fancy but a very pleasant and quiet place to park for a few days or longer. The sites are large and most are quite private with trees or bushes between the sites. The full hookups all worked well and the cable TV and Wi-Fi worked very good. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were clean. You check in at store at the entrance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked. There is a beach access about 3 blocks away. The beach is large and sandy. They are also near the north jetty and old town Florence. The rate we paid reflects a Good Sam discount. We really enjoyed our time here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good park with hedges separating the sites. Older park which has been upgraded a bit to support the larger RVs. Roads gravel and sites almost level. Showers older, but clean and water hot. A bit tight when turning the roads inside the park with your trailer or MH. Very quiet and the hosts friendly. Would recommend this park when in the Florence area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed here before and as usual were not disappointed. We only had 30 Amp this time because the park was quite full, but managed quite well. The owners have thinned out the trees and trimmed many of the lower branches making it easier for those of us with big rigs to navigate the turns and accommodate the multiple slides. Great park. Nice convenience store with most of your needs. Owner and staff were constantly around picking up any trash and keeping the area neat & clean. He even helped us set up our TV channels. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is quite run down looking but functional and fits with the "beach" atmosphere. Wi-Fi was great and the beach is quite close. Sites have some evergreens for privacy but may be tight for big rigs. We have a small 24' and it was roomy for us. I would have graded it a bit higher but the showers had mildew and there was no heat in the bathroom. We camped here in a Motorhome.

An older RV park with new electric service at many sites. The park buildings and signs need painting. The owners are nice. The sites are small with little room for slide-outs. You can walk to the beach. The entire park needs some TLC. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A quiet park; not too far off the main road and a short drive to the lovely city of Florence and the dunes. Site was adequate for our slides but would not have had room to open the canopy. There were shrubs between campsites for privacy but when we lit a fire in our firepit, the folks next to us closed their door. Also the 2-blocks to the beach was a bit of larceny since you couldn't cross the private property to get there. Pet area was a little lacking also. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We originally planned to stay 3 nights. The weather was so perfect and we liked the campground so much we decided to stay 2 more nights. We took a site with water and electric only by choice. Some sites are narrow and make slides and awning difficult, but manageable. There are nice hedges between sites and fire pits. It is located just a few blocks from the beach. There is nice, friendly staff. It is close to Heceta Head Lighthouse, Florence and lots of other Oregon coast sights. There is good WiFi and a convenient mini-mart. We would recommend it as a nice place to stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A quiet campground with gravel sites with skinny trees between sites. Not the kind of place that made us want to sit outside of our RV. Close to the beach but a couple of miles to the neareast stores or other resources so decide which is more important. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice and quiet park. Had bushes between each site for privacy but also was kind of close. We have a 38ft fifth wheel with 4 slides; however, we did not have any problems. The staff was very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good privacy, nice 2 block walk to the beach. Store and gift shop were very nice. Basic amenities, smallish sites. We had room for our slides on both sides, but that was about all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely campground with very private camping slots created by well trimmed natural vegetation. Quiet, private and serene location only about 0.3 mile to the beach, which was magnificent. Restroom facilities are marginal for a campground with so many slots, but satisfactory. Very friendly staff. Sea Lion Caves nearby and city of Florence for exploring. Would return without a doubt. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I love this place and the privacy it provides; love the access to the ocean, the fresh air, the nice people. It is non pretentious and peaceful with hookups, cable and Wi-Fi Life is good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't let the picture on the website fool you, it's still a good hike to the beach. Having said that, the campground was very nice with each site secluded from each other. We stayed in #28 and truly felt like we were the only ones in the park (we weren't of course). The mini mart on site is just that, mini. You can buy the bare essentials there. Staff was always really friendly. I would recommend straying away from the campground and exploring Highway 101. This section of road is incredible with many places to stop and take pictures. Florence is only about 5 minutes away. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding little park. We spent the previous 2 weeks at Harbor Vista and were glad to move to this park. The sites are long, wide, level and private. You can hear the soothing sounds of the ocean (especially at night). WI-FI has recently been installed and it works great. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will plan to stay here every time we come through Florence. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed there during a freezing rainstorm. The shower rooms were not heated! So much for a shower. Our campsite had garbage in its fire ring. The sites are so narrow it's difficult to hook up your rig without getting scratched by the bushes -- which are everywhere. They're creepy. Nice convenience store on site. If there is a staff, we didn't see anyone. Ocean is "7-minute walk" away. We didn't see Heceta Beach. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not a destination resort, but convenient to Florence. Just a short walk to the beach, and you can hear the waves crashing on the shore at night. The sites are close together, with tall bushes between each site. Big rigs or motorhome plus toad will have a hard time with the tight turns. A bit pricey considering there are other parks closer to Old Town Florence, but we were there for the Chowder Festival and got the last RV site for the weekend. Verizon cell service at one bar. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you want to be close to the beach and that's the most important thing, then this is a good place. You don't have a beach view, but it's just a short walk to the beach. The park is somewhat cramped and cumbersome to maneuver through, but I have been in worse. When you enter the park, the "Check in line" is a very sharp hard left turn. (There is a second entrance that is easier, if you know about it ahead of time.) On the other hand, the RV spaces are long, and can accommodate big rigs. There were a lot of "big rigs" here during my stay. I would have loved to see how they maneuvered around and got into their spaces as it was difficult with my 30 foot. The spaces are close together, but there is some attempt at privacy by having very tall shrubs and trees between the spaces. My cat was entertained! Spots are gravel and mostly back-in with a few "pull-throughs." Each space has a picnic table and a small fire ring. Try to avoid getting placed in spots 41, 42, and 31, as those spaces are right next to the restrooms and people will walk through your site to go to the restrooms. Some spaces are full hookup to include cable, some are water and sewer (and cable) only. This park also has tent spaces if you have children who would like to have their own spot away from the adults! The laundry and restrooms were fairly clean, but not perfect. The laundry room is small (two washers two dryers) and during my stay, one of the washers was out of service. The state of Oregon emphasizes recycling, and this park had some recycle containers next to the garbage area. There is a pay phone available in case your cell phone provider doesn't cover this area. There is a fairly well stocked mini mart, but as mini marts go, it's over-priced as usual. Propane service is available, but I didn't check prices. The cable service is decent, and if you have a digital/high definition ready TV with you, you will also get the high definition stations and audio stations. As of this writing, this park does not have WiFi, but they have a modem hookup in a desk in the office. They supply the phone cable, you just hook up your computer and use your dial-up software. Staff is friendly and helpful! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay at this campground. The pull-thru site we were assigned to was long and level with 50 amp. The shrubbery between the sites makes a nice break with a feeling of privacy. The bushes, however, are overdue for trimming. They will soon affect the ability to get into some sites without damage to your coach. The ATV's were quiet and not a problem. We liked the access to Woahink Lake and the dunes. Being only 5 miles from Florence and Old Town was a plus. Unfortunately we needed some emergency medical care and were pleased to see that Florence has a hospital and good medical facilities and doctors. We think the nightly rate is a little high. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a older park with heavy native type brush between spaces. Two plus blocks to ocean. Bathrooms cold, heat not turned on. Only two toilets and two showers per sex for whole park. Gravel roads and sites. No night security to stop fellow campers from drinking and hell raising all night. Wouldn't pull into park with big rig after dark because some turns are very tight. Bar across street. The managers were pleasant, and stated that they were new. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While there was vegetation between the sites, they were not all private. Noisy partyers at night, no enforcement. Trash/dumpsters not collected frequently enough. Store hours were not set up for campers; opened too late in the morning. Owner not that friendly. I know they were new owners. I challenge the 5 minute walk to the beach. Also, the winds make that trip nearly impossible at times. Would not return. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Not a destination park. All interior roads and sites are gravel. Underbrush between all sites, but no overhead shade. In the busy summer season the office and store were not open at 8:30 am. Not within walking distance of beach. Other parks in the area did not look much better. New owners as of April 04. Appears to be just an overnight stop for many. Tents not allowed in RV sites as they have a separate section. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice well landscaped RV Park with green belts between sites! Has campfire rings, graveled roads and graveled sites. Across the road there is a full service bar that serves food as well. There is a mini mart at RV Park office. This is the first private RV Park that I have stayed in that actually has bears. I ran into one face to face one morning near site "E" and he went on his way with no harm done. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very large cramped state park - tight roads if you meet anyone going and coming on main road. Campers will stop in the road and walk in the road so it is challenging to maneuver. We had a nice wide spot in the H loop but could hear the ATVs roaring since that area has direct access to the dunes. There were 3-5 tents at some sites with multiple vehicles and tons of people since it was a holiday weekend. Since off roading is not our thing would not return especially on a holiday or weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed here each Spring Break for going on 7 years now. Campground is very well maintained, clean, and has good camp hosts. During the off season, (Oct-Apr) the H Loop is designed for those with Sand Toys (ATVs). Sites can easily accommodate large toy haulers and motorhomes, but some can be a backing challenge. Dump stations for those sites without sewer is large and easy to navigate through. Campground is heavily treed and green. The only dislike I have is they place the garbage dumpsters clear at the front of the park, it's a pretty nice long walk but not fun in the rain. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 4 nights from Friday to Tuesday morning in a full hookup site. Almost all full hookup sites are in the H loop and that is where all the ATV people are! Be prepared for some noise, especially on Friday & Saturday evenings. It was much better on Sunday & Monday but I will not return for a weekend as we are not ATV'ers. Even the quiet hours weren't observed which pulled a bit on my nerves on Friday evening. The washrooms were what you can expect from a State Park and they were about as clean as you can expect when a big crowd is present. As the H loop was pretty full, the 30 amps at our site were cutting in and out. Virgin mobile did just work in that park but was slow. As almost all full hookup sites were reserved, we didn't had much of a choice upon arriving but found a site long enough for our 35' 5th-wheel. The sites are paved and wide enough for slideouts and awning. All sites are level, pretty shaded and in winter I would appreciate less trees and way more sun. The access to the dunes and the different lakes is nice, but a bicycle will definitely help to get around. There are enough trails to walk around but looking for the sun you only can get into the dunes, everything else is in the forest. We will return, but not on a weekend. Most of the campground was closed when we were there and we ended up in the ATVer campground loop which is not our thing or our crowd. This would be a great campground for an ATVer and perhaps a family in the summer when the rest of the campground is open, but it really wasn't a great Class A crowd type campground if that makes sense. The campground and sites are paved. It is well treed in the areas that were closed and our site was more open and fairly public. The sites in the ATV loop have direct access to the sand dunes and are extra wide so that the ATVs can fit on the payment beside the trailers. It wasn't as noisy as we were expecting, but one does here the ATV's revving. They are loud. Most of the ATVers were respectful and drove the speed limit in the campground and didn't rev their engines for no reason except for the guys across from us. It is worth mentioning that direct access to the dunes is only available in the winter season. The showers were okay, but get cold quickly with multiple users. There is a fee drop off available in the ATV loop so that you don't have to drive all the way back to the entrance. The entrance is the only place with recycling. There are a number of lakes that are family friendly and accessible from the campground (I'd take a car as the walk can be quite long from some of the loops) and one lake is across the highway. The Cleawok Lake is quite nice and probably a good swimming spot in the summer. We took our kayaks out on the lake and it was nice and different because of the dunes, but the serenity was a little lost with the ATVers noise that can be heard from the lake. Note, that the lake has arms and is not as small as it initially appears. We did see a number of ducks and a bald eagle. There are swimming docks on the lake and boat rentals. There is also a dune walk from the campground. (ATVers are not allowed on this section) Recycling and garbage disposal is at the front of the campground. It is a busy campground and may fill. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I love this park, even out of season when many of the loops are closed it is great. Some of the spaces are very tight for a large rig. Hiking on the dunes is spectacular, only wish there were less ATVs. The State of Cal could learn a lot from Oregon and their fabulous state parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a gem! It is so beautiful and family friendly. There are great lakes and ponds for fishing, play grounds for the kids, and we even had a sand box right down from our site. My only complaint would be that there are not enough full hook up sites. Honeyman is also so conveniently located to Florence which has nice antique shops. We will definitely be back next year, but make sure to book early because they fill up fast. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love Oregon state parks. We were able to stay at three during our June trip up the coast with no reservations. This was our first one, and we had the dunes just a couple of hundred yards behind our site. The park rangers are very friendly and helpful, and the sites are beautiful. If you can live without Wi-Fi (or bring your own 3G card) and laundry facilities for a little while, these parks are the way to go, and you can't beat the price. The only other downside is the showers which, like most state parks, use the "push button" system where one temperature fits all. But they worked fine, were reasonably hot, and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was one of the best places we've camped. The natural beauty is amazing. The roads are very well maintained. The beach access is LONG, but well worth the trip with views and more views. We picked berries (not sure if we were allowed to or not) and made our own jam. What a treat. Like many state parks, you may stay only a short time, but it's not expensive and we had a great time. This is a beautiful campground amongst towering trees and lots of lush plants. It is very clean and well maintained with clean toilets and showers. It is pet friendly and the park rangers are very friendly and helpful. The sites have electricity and water but no septic. However, there is a dump station in the campground just before you exit. The sand dunes are great fun to walk on and the dune buggies are confined to their own area so as not to be a problem. My only complaint might be that since we were there in early October and it is in towering pines our camp site was very cold and damp. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park. However, since our last stay here (some 20+ years ago), the local dunes have started allowing ATV's on them. This has changed the nature of the park and not for the better. We couldn't enjoy the dunes themselves because of all the ATV's roaming them. Furthermore, we had neighbors who played their radio loudly until well after 11pm. The park was generally just loud and had a crowded feeling. A real switch from the peace and quiet we rememembered from Honeyman of the past. The rangers were helpful and polite. The site was fairly clean. There was no firewood available which probably explains the $10/load it was for sale for outside the park. We won't be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is a real treasure. Set among amazing sand dunes (people were snowboarding down the dunes)! The sites are huge, well shaded and private. The showers were hot, clean and well maintained. The campground hosts and Park Rangers were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here before and like all Oregon State Parks, we are very satisfied. Always clean and well managed. We have a 34 foot fifth wheel and some sites can be a test getting into. I would highly recommend the Oregon State Parks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I think this park might be a 10 for camping. We are fulltime motorhomers and it was not as well suited to us. There are sites that will accommodate big rigs with most of them in loop H. But we were without Direct TV (no sky view) and Wi-Fi. It is a pleasant state park and close enough to the great scenic areas north of Florence to enable visits to Heceta Lighthouse and Cape Perpetua. We stayed during the non-ATV season and so it was quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean park, sites nicely paved. The kids loved how they could just walk from our site to the dunes and lake. Great programs for the kids and evening programs for the family. Boat rentals available, but a few more would be nice (they are hard to get one). The store has a few items you might need in a pinch, but town is close for groceries. Would be nice to have wi-fi, even if there was an extra charge. We like the openness of the sites so sun can get in, but yet trees between sites give a bit of privacy too. This is our family's favorite campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in loop H, that is the loop used by the ATV group. People were nice, but this section is a little open. Would stay here again, but in a different loop. Great sand dunes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A great park. If you don't want to be with the ATV folks, don't stay in loop H. We did though and enjoyed it very well. The park hosts are a bit lazy here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We last stayed at Honeyman in the late 1980s. For this visit we were in the new part of the park (H loop). The new sites are more in the open, spaced well apart, and are very long. We arrived during a fine example of Oregon mist, and the open campsite was not as gloomy as the older ones in the trees. If you have a big rig, try to get a spot in the H loop. If your visit is between October and April, it helps if you like ATVs, as this is the only part of the park where they are allowed on the park roads. The restrooms and showers were modern and clean. We enjoyed our 2 day stay, and our opinion remains that Oregon state parks are some of the best. NOTE: The header for this park gives the city location as Rouge River. This is in error, as Rogue River is a little town between Medford and Grants Pass on I-5. Honeyman is located 3 miles south of Florence. Make sure to head into town for a meal at Mo's, home of the best seafood on the Oregon coast. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a huge park, but in June they had about half of it closed. Lots of sand dunes in the park. A lot of people using ATV's so it can be noising in parts of the campground. We enjoyed the park but if you don't want to be around tons of kids this isn't the place. Make sure you get to take a ride out on the dunes, that was a blast. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park service was great, Rangers kept it under control. Lots to do for the kids. The bathrooms were sandy, and were dirty due to the sand. The showers had a lot of sand in them, so we used the trailer to shower. Have to hunt down full hook-ups. Otherwise it was easy to get a electric and water only. If I had to do over, I would stay in the State Park across the 101 from this, where it was not crowded with ATV's. Even though they are not allowed in the park, you could hear them all around the park, which got old real quick, especially if you wanted to read outside. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

You really get a lot of bang for your buck at Oregon state parks and this one is no exception. According to the park brochure there are 47 full hook-ups, 119 electrical sites, 191 tent sites, 10 yurts, a group site and a hiker/biker camp. The main draw here is the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. If you are not fond of ATVs you may not like staying here as you will not be able to get entirely away from the noise, but the park does a good job of enforcing the rules and has a separate loop where ATVs are not allowed. For those who want more quiet activities there are 3 small fresh water lakes and lots of trails to explore. Oregon state parks have "shoulder season" rates and they are a real deal. Our fee of $17 was for a full-hook-up site. We also really appreciate that the park supplies a large garbage disposal area that also has bins for recycling just about anything - aluminum, tin cans, glass, plastic containers and paper. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Passport rate $13.50 plus tax. Very nice combo RV / Mobile Home park. Not many RV sites so I would call first. Saw a couple of people come in and get turned away. We are right behind the office in a row of 6 nice long level pull-throughs. Site is 30 amp, water, sewer, Cable TV, and excellent Wi-fi. At mile post 195 on US-101, just south of Old Town Florence. Access to the National Dunes NRA is nearby. Outstanding value for the Passport America rate. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Entrance roomy for larger rigs that provides a level driveway for unhooking tow vehicle. After departing through the exit gate, that part of the driveway provides ample level space for hooking-up tow vehicle. Generous concrete pad for RV. Park is quiet, secure, great water pressure, and great WI-Fi. Staff is friendly and helpful. Park has easy access to main road and shopping. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice staff, all paved roads and pads, no tree issues, easy in and out, spotless bathrooms and laundry. Would have rated higher but the only pet area is gravel, no grass, and there is very limited extra parking for tow cars. Close to lots of stuff though. Very nice spot, especially if you don't like to park in dirt. Showers, restrooms, game room and owners are especially nice. All paved which is nice as we don't like dirt. Not a lot of view, but think it probably is as nice as you will find around here unless you are into fishing, camping by the ocean or woods etc. We will definitely come here when through this area again. This park is nothing special; just a basic parking lot. But it is nicely maintained and kept clean. It is nicer than the other parks in town. We had excellent cable and WiFi. The sites are nicely spaced with wide streets between the rows. This is probably one of the friendliest parks we have stayed at; not just the managers and workers but the long term residents. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Fundamentally, this is very good park. Level concrete pads with the hookups conveniently placed. Free Wi-Fi and cable. The main office facility had a game room, laundry, and rest rooms which are all very well maintained. Very friendly & helpful staff. There are no picnic tables provided but you might be able to get one on request. There is a Fred Meyer store about half mile away which is like a super Walmart. Since the park is combined with an RV and garage style storage facilities, it lacks something in terms of aesthetics but otherwise is a great park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Mostly a cement parking lot with a little bit of shrubs between spaces. Fairly tight spots and no picnic tables. We had to barbecue on the ground. There was a pet run that was a very narrow weedy area off to the side. No grass to speak of for dog walking. Mostly all pavement. Wi-Fi worked well. Owners are nice, but doubt I would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This isn't a place you want to stay for any length of time because it's a concrete slab and the lots are narrow. There is no shade. However, it was clean and the woman at the front desk was very nice and made sure we knew about the game room (pool table, large card table, take-one-leave-one book exchange), and how to get through the gates via a code, etc. The free Wi-Fi is password protected and we didn't realize we needed a separate code for each device we wanted to get online with. The fee included $3 tax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the cleanest park that we have ever stayed in as it is all concrete with no lawn, and no dirt or gravel. All level pull troughs or back in and all have full hookups. Sites are close to each other but there is enough room to open slides and walk around one's unit. The laundry room is $1.75 for wash and $1.25 for dry. There are only three "barbie" washing machines and three dryers for this rather large park. We had to wait in line to use the machines which took a number of hours to do our wash. This is a nice park for what it is, a large parking lot with a little tree bushes between the sites. Good for a one night stop that is close to town. Not a destination place for sure. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Office very friendly and helpful, sites large enough for a 45 ft rig, strong 50 amps, slow Wi-Fi, park is very clean and full of rhododendron, no traffic noise, no trains, only 1 mile to the beach and two golf courses, rate based on weekly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Solid concrete with shrubs between sites, pull throughs and back-ins, all level, easy in and out. Great staff and owner, all very helpful. Dog friendly as long as rules are observed, dog run was just increased in size about 2-3 times as large as previously. Wi-Fi is excellent, five bars all the time. Location is just off Hwy 101 but with almost no road noise. Close to Fred Meyer, BiMart, Safeway, about five miles from casino. Very windy this summer but temps generally around low 60s during the day, very comfortable. Many accesses to beach available. The sole reason for not giving a "10" is there is no grass, but that's almost nit-picking. Will accommodate any size rig with no problem. I highly recommend staying here. We stayed here 3 nights in a 44' motorhome, towing. The staff was very nice. The campground is basically a big cement lot (which kept the inside of MH very clean); shrub sections dividing each site and was tastefully done. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two nights in a motorhome towing a trailer, about 50 ft long. The staff was extremely nice! The campground is basically a big cement lot (which kept the inside of the mh very clean) with shrub sections dividing each site, but it was tastefully done and looked nice. It was clean and the laundry room was immaculate. It was a great place to stay as we explored the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived, and probably got some of the last couple spots in the CG as it was the Rhododendron Festival weekend, we didn't know. The flowers were gorgeous! Sites were all concrete, spaced nice enough for all slides out, and low scrubs between sites blooming. Clubhouse was nice and neat, didn't use the restrooms/showers to comment on. It appears there are some 'permanent stays or longtime' but didn't bother and everyone was friendly. Quiet at night, close to everything in town. Probably the only negative part of staying here was: if you have dogs there wasn't really much for a dog walk or place to take them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Well maintained campground. All sites concrete & most pull thru, however not long enough for 40 ft MH & tow vehicle. If the campground was full, we would have had to detach our dolly to fit into the pull thru site. There are nice low shrubs between the campsites. All utilities worked well, FHU/50amp. Cable TV & wifi worked well. Also verizon aircard/cell worked fine. Nice clubhouse area. Close to attractions & quiet at night. Very friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent a week here. Rate is reflective. The park is entirely concrete. Very wide isles to go down to the sites. Sites have a 3' wide landscaped space where the connections are. Entrance gate has a code to allow entrance. There is an exit gate that opens as you approach. Small rec roon with a pool table, lounge chairs and large TV. Coffee is always on. Restrooms were very clean. (Men's has 1 toilet & 4 showers.) Laundry has only 2 washers and dryers. There are 22 full timers living here. Also there are about 40 large indoor storage units connected with the park. Close to shopping. It was very windy in the afternoons. Only one small area (about 8' by 20') for your pet just on the back side of the park that is fenced in. They do supply bags to pick up. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here in a 36' with tow and the park was easy to enter and get to our site: a nice pull through. Staff will bring a picnic table to your site on request. Friendly and helpful staff. Park is clean: bathrooms, sites, laundry, etc. It's nice to stay somewhere so well cared for. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Overall a pretty nice place. Very clean and well maintained; quiet - mainly adults. It's a handy distance to a nice beach, shops, and tourist attractions. Surprisingly, there's almost no road noise, even though it's approximately 1 block off Hwy 101. Exceptionally clean inside and out! Clean paved roads and fairly roomy sites. Good Internet Wi-Fi and friendly staff at office. Overall, I would highly recommend the park. Will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Adequate facilities (FHU, cable, WI-FI) for an overnight stop. Other reviews are accurate in their descriptions of the park. Most sites appear to be occupied by seasonal/extended stay customers. Except for a Fred Meyer store a quarter mile down the road, you need a car to get to the main part of town. This was another park on this trip where the park was almost too quite in the evening - not many campers out and about. Certainly not a park for families. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff were friendly. This campground had no picnic table. It was a RV park surrounded by a storage facility and was all concrete. The dog run was pretty much an after thought..tiny and really not usable. There was a landscaped area about 4 ft. wide between each RV. Wi-Fi worked great. Would not be my first choice to stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice gated campground with beautiful landscaping between sites. Signs were adequate to get to site from highway. Laundry was clean and equipped with ironing board and iron. The club room was well appointed and had a pool table and usually a jigsaw puzzle to pass time while doing laundry. There appeared to be some full time or longterm residents who worked from this campground but all sites were neatly kept. A fenced dog area is provided to exercise your dog and pick up bags are provided. The only negative is the overflowing trash bin. This may have been due to Memorial Day holiday and missed visit from trash hauler. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nicely managed park, and, with rhododendrons and lobelias between the sites, a very attractive one, too. There was a pleasant receptionist, easy check-in, nice, level sites, good Wi-Fi. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a ten is the poorly marked and quite confusing entrance. You actually enter the 'RV Storage' area and just proceed forward. And the sign is very hard to read, too. But this is a great park, and we will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived Saturday evening and office was closed. Entrance is not very well marked or lit up at night. Not open on Sunday at all. Only 2 late arrival sites available and we got the second one luckily. Park looked clean and tidy though. Not sure if we would stop here again next time through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful place to stay. It's close to a really nice beach, shops, and tourist attractions. Even though it's about 1 block off Hwy 101, there's almost no road noise. Easy to get in and out of, very large, true pull-thrus. But it is a "parking lot" RV park. No scenery to see in the park. If you are just looking for a place to sleep each night after a day of sight seeing this will be great. We probably wouldn't stay here again, unless it was just for a quick over night stay. We stayed at this park over Memorial Day weekend. The office staff were friendly and were able to direct us to local attractions. They even recommended good restaurants. They had a BBQ for the camp guests and provided hamburgers, potato salad, and beans. There was a community fire pit and a good time was had by all. The bathrooms were spotless. They had a doggy area in a wooded area and it was clean too. We will plan on returning to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The new owners are starting slowly to upgrade this park. Sites are level, wide, and long with limited visual separation between sites. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Centrally located for all the Florence attractions. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice clean park. It is really just a big paved parking lot. Streets are paved and are wide. Sites are paved and level. There is a narrow strip between the sites with unmaintained shrubs and bushes. The park is big rig friendly. There were a lot of cable TV channels. There were no trees to get in the way of satellite dishes. Wifi worked good and was fast. It is probably the best park in Florence unless you are looking for a rustic campground. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

No place for pets. It's a parking lot with a few shrubs thrown in around your site. There is no grass anywhere, so pets have a tough time. No tables outside your site. The office staff is very good. The campground is clean, but it isn't hard to keep a parking lot clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As others have said, there is a lot of concrete there. The staff are friendly and helpful. The landscaping is fairly new and immature but will be a welcome addition. The sites are decently sized although a bit close together. WIFI is there and free, but a bit temperamental. Will stay there again on the way through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Acres of concrete with islands of rhodedendrons, coastal folage between between sites. Pet exercise area. Main park attraction is location on north end of town and low winter monthly rate of $275 plus $15/month for pet and metered electricity. Security gates. RV storage also available. Exercise room with deteriorating equipment. Free WiFi. Lived there full time mid Feb. to mid March 2006. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is mostly concrete with minimal vegetation areas to provide site separation. It has very little character being in the midst of storage yards and mini-warehouses. On the plus side however are level sites, good security, functioning hook-ups and a central location. Recreational opportunities on site are non-existent. If you like rules you'll love this place. They are numerous and posted everywhere. All in all an OK stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Your basic paved park with a couple of short shrubs between sites. Very clean and lots of rules. A code is required to access the bathroom/shower/exercise room after hours. Those who check in after the office closes don't get the code. Even with the code, access was difficult because the lighting was so poor it was nearly impossible to see the numbers and punch the correct ones. The showers themselves were nice, but there is a community dressing area, not a private one. The exercise room has several antiquated pieces of cardio equipment. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our first NACO park through our Thousand Trails membership. It is also the worst place that we have stayed. The only activity in our 5 days here is the Saturday membership recruitment by the staff. The place is run down, with a large portion of the sites closed off. The roads have lots of pot holes. They need to clean out some of the brush and trees, as the sites are downright dark due to the high trees. Our site was flat, but muddy, as due to the foliage, it is never able to dry out. We have a 30 amp, full hook-up. We were able to pick up satellite with our portable dish, after a lot of moving around. The majority of sites cannot get satellite. Our verizon MiFi worked well, but we had difficulty with obtaining cell phone coverage in the park. We have only seen the staff a few times while here. One staff member could not answer us about the activity schedule, he just plain did not know if there were activities or not. The staff member at check-in was able to tell us which sites we could use to find satellite reception. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Extremely wooded which is nice but makes the park rather dark and dreary on cloudy days. Roads around the park were muddy and soft in parts and quite twisty. This park is really NOT big rig friendly but you CAN get in here. (We're 40 ft.) A large portion of the park ("A" section) was closed due to upgrading to 50 amp, which is good. There are good sites for big rigs, we just crammed ourselves into a small one to get cable TV. Adequate cell phone coverage (AT&T) and good Verizon air card coverage. Beautiful clubhouse, not much going on in the way of activities. Terrific, large pool, great for swimming laps if you wanted to. Florence is a great town to go eat in, cute shops and great activities. Hike Sweet Creek Falls, see Sea Lion Caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse. And there are the dunes if you like that. We would definitely stay in this park again. I wonder about mosquitoes being bad later in the season? We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on the way South. The staff were friendly but the overall park was somewhat lacking. Most of the park was closed for maintenance and the sites that were open were not real big rig friendly. There are lots of trees so the satellite receiver was out of the question. However our site did have Cable TV for an extra $2.50 per night. Even though we are Thousand Trail members we will probably not stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical TT park but very old. Heavily treed, forget about getting satellite TV. AC power sucked, many of the sites are permanently closed until the power grid can be fixed. Very friendly staff. We stayed here one day and then moved five miles down the road. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here thru RPI. We were very disappointed that they started limiting sites for RPI members. None access satellite without a remote set up. This is an older park with gravel (dusty) roads and sites. Wi-Fi is only available at the clubhouse. Our AT&T phone worked. I doubt we'll come back. Last year we could pick any site. The electricity is very poor. The grey water dump near our site would not drain. Electricity system is very poor and only 30 amp. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We visited this park via a Thousand Trails membership. Park looks very pretty, sites were spacious and shady. Many of the sewer sites were unavailable for various reasons (?). The whole place was VERY buggy. The pool was wonderful and the kids were good about observing 'Adult Hours' but they were in the hot tub all day long with no interference from management. Staff was friendly. Activities Center had good WiFi reception and the proximity to Florence was great. It was pretty noisy from all the nearby ATVs but that's to be expected. Shower area could have been cleaner. We didn't love it but would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park is an older park which is great for smaller to mid-size rigs. We were traveling with friends and was looking for 2 big sites where we hoped to get TV. We have AT&T and Verizon Phones which both worked. Also we have an AT&T internet card which was slow but did work. The trees are beautiful and the park is very rustic. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used our Thousand Trails membership to stay here...our first time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sewer sites were all taken...most sites are very shady..had trouble finding one where our satellite would work. Wi-Fi did not reach our site, but was available in the Activity Building. This is a Thousand Trails ~ NACO Preserve near the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Most sites are shaded and only section A & B have sewers available although there are a few sewer sites in other sections. We are in section B near the Activity Building and WiFi is available in our rig. Lots of things to do in the Florence area. Sites are maintained and roads are nice. Staff is very helpful. Lots of activities for families and children. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent Forest Service campground. Large level paved sites in the trees or some in a grassy area. We took a site in the trees with 30 amp hook-up no water and no dump station, plenty of room for slideouts and awnings. Also some sites with no hookups. Host was excellent. Washrooms were sparkling clean and excellent hiking trails to the dunes and the beach. Host did not sell firewood, but lots close by. Would have given this a 10 rating with water and dump station. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this campground. We don't find many USFS campgrounds with electric so we were thrilled. We had site B29. It was a very long, paved, back-in with 30 amp electric (no water at the site), some privacy and some exposure to sun. It was huge for our 30 ft class A. Most of the 19 electric sites are in A loop with a few in B loop. A and B loop sites are first come first serve. The road in the park was good overall but very rutted and lumpy going back to C and D loops. This campground has no dump station. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is a worthwhile day trip. Nightly rate reflects the Inter-agency Senior Pass discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great place. Very quiet. Lake right across the street and a nice path to the dunes for both walkers and riders. Well maintained and the staff was very nice. Six miles to Florence and 15 miles to the Umpqua River Lighthouse. Best park around in my opinion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

What a pleasant surprise. We pulled into Woahink Lake RV Resort a little later in the day and were still greeted by the hosts, who were super nice getting us settled in. Our pull through site was spacious and even had foliage on both sides which gave the space a bit more feeling of seclusion from neighbors. Best part of all, the park is quiet at night. Wi-Fi/ Cable both worked very well. Restrooms and laundry area were extremely clean. Park is very pet friendly, with dunes to the west where dogs can run off leash, as well as a lake to the east which is perfect for dogs who love to swim. Happy to have stumbled upon this park. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice resort: especially if you have an ATV as there is access to the dunes. The spaces are wide and separated by rows of bushes. Across the highway there is access to a beach and the lake. The dunes are perfect for letting the dog wander. There's a group campfire area with stocked firewood. That's nice since they don't allow individual fires. We would stay here again. We stayed a week at this lovely, well maintained campground, situated beside the dunes. It has large gravel sites, separated by flowering shrubs and compact trees, which give a feeling of privacy. Clean reasonably priced laundry and well kept bathrooms, adequate Wi-Fi, full range of recycling. The young hosts are welcoming and helpful. Paved and step access to dunes from campground. Great location beside US-101, but not noisy, and across from Woahink Lake, which is great for kayaking. We enjoyed our stay and will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The roads are paved and the sites are stone with hedges between them for privacy. Cable is good and Wi-Fi is good most of the time. Bathhouse is older. Access to the sand dunes is right behind the campground, and you can use the lake across the street. The dog walk is about 20 sq.ft. and not fenced. We would stay here again. We stayed a week at this park. It is close to Florence and the dunes are accessible right behind the park. Woahink Lake is across the street and perfect for kayaking. The park is immaculate, bathrooms and laundry room are well maintained, and the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The only reason I rated it a 9, instead of a 10, is that it had very limited Internet access. Had a hard time maintaining connectivity with their Wi-Fi connection and my Verizon card. Had to go into Florence to get a good connection. We'll stay at this again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Loved this RV Park. The owners/hosts were lovely and were always working outside maintaining the park. Trees were nicely trimmed and sites are wide with private hedges. There is no playground for kids but there are hundreds of acres of sand dunes directly behind the park. Kids loved the sand dunes and we were lent some sand discs to play with. Communal fireplace with wood supplied. Bathrooms were good and we would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely RV Park. Across the street from the lake. The sites are private with greenery on three sides. The owners and their family are extremely friendly and helpful. The only negative is that there is no lock on the outside door of the women restroom. I was not comfortable showering with no lock. This has been this way for quite a while because we have stayed there several times and it has not been repaired in the last several times that we have been there. Sites all have picnic tables. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

A lovely, shady campground that is pet friendly and a Good Sam Park. The campground is across the road from the lake (there is a great fenced in area to visit) and it sits at the base of the Oregon Dunes Recreation Area. Great hiking and walking area; the dunes were beautiful. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean, Semi-Private, Level Campsites. Very friendly staff. Reasonable, competitive rates. I would have given them a 10 if they had a little better channel selection on the cable (no Fox news). I have stayed at quite a few RV parks, usually when you find a park as nice they charge a lot more. I will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly front desk service and exceptionally tidy RV park. Each site was extra long and fairly wide with privacy bushes. The town of Florence was a short, pleasant and scenic drive. There is a private lake across the road for guests of the RV park, and an access point for the dunes on the premises. With such a lovely town nearby, state parks galore, the dunes, very friendly staff, and great RV park: we will most certainly return! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spaces were plenty large enough for big rigs. Roads were paved and spaces were gravel. The high hedges separating the spaces provided great privacy, but also made the spaces feel a bit small and claustrophobic. Showers were clean and worked fine except that the restrooms were not heated. Thus the inside temperature was around 50 degrees when showering. Wi-Fi worked well. On weekends the ATV crowd makes a lot of noise in the back part of the park. Road noise at night was not a problem. Management was very friendly and helpful. Rate is Good Sam weekly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was very nice and helpful and they even let us wash our RV in our site. The sites were quiet, gravel, shrubbery between sites and paved roads. Bicycles were not allowed to be ridden within the park. This is a great park for ORV riders because of easy access to the dunes but for regular RV's there are not any view sites and it is kind of cramped. Great for an overnight when passing through or to use as a base camp while touring the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We chose this park because of the wonderful reviews, and we were not a bit disappointed! You can look out your RV window and see the amazing high dunes above you! Sites are divided by beautiful vegetation and very well maintained. Walk across Hwy 101 and you are lakeside! While there are some ATV'rs here, they are hardly noticed. Afternoons are windy, so we trecked the awesome dunes each morning, even saw three coyotes just a dune away from us, and explored their tracks! Restrooms/showers, though older, were extremely clean. The office staff was wonderful, and suggested Waterfont Depot for dinner. It was delightful, but MAKE A RESERVATION, even on weeknights. The Old Town of Florence was great fun to explore, as was the coast all the way to Yachats. If the sites themselvses were paved, as the roads are in this park, we'd have rated 10! We shall return! Nice campground. Difficult to find big rig friendly ones in this area but this one worked. Rate reflects weekly rate. Can walk to sand dunes from the park. WiFi was intermittent. Cable TV was good. Air card minimal but worked slowly. The office has DVDs and VCR tapes to borrow for free. Friendly and helpful staff knowledgeable about the area. Two very nice quilt shops in Florence if interested. Great park - an easy walk to the sand dunes, located behind the park. Another easy walk to Woahink Lake across the highway. From the tallest dune near the RV park you get a beautiful view of the dunes, the ocean and the lake. Nice wide sites with bushes between sites providing more privacy than you get at most places. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Short drive to dune tours and rental ATVs for the dunes. The sea lion caves and Florence are not very far away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in this park twice in the last month. I can't say enough about the helpful friendly service. The park went out of there way to accommodate us. The park is quiet, clean, friendly and well kept. Facilities and clean and adequate for both the ATV crowd and the RV tourist. Most of the people we spoke with are repeat customers and some have been coming on a regular basis for 15 or more years. We are definitely going to come back each year. Thanks. This campground was a very pleasant surprise. The sites were long enough for our 45 footer and a tow car. Connections were all excellent. Space was wide enough for our four slides plus a nice sitting area. Beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees separate each site for privacy and beauty. Hummingbirds and butterflies were on the flowers. The access to the dunes is right there so you can walk up anytime. The off road vehicles that were using the dunes do not disturb the campers at all. You can hear vehicles on the dunes during the day, but it is not unpleasant or annoying. The management was some of the best we have encountered. The office staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Woahink Lake is extremely clear and beautiful and we were able to put our kayak in right off the campground's dock which is across the street. We spent only one week here, but could have spent all summer very happily. It was peaceful and quiet, and only a short drive into Florence which is also wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone...especially big rigs who need the space. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Either the owners have changed or had a change of heart, but we didn't see what others (including AAA) saw here. Run down, rule crazy, and just plain sad. You can see from our other reviews that we're generally positive, but this place stinks. The worst part? All of the NO THIS, NO THAT rules everywhere, including NO REFUNDS, which I noticed after signing the credit card slip and then getting the CG map. Got to our site, turned the map over and saw the rules: No large dogs allowed. We told them on the phone and upon check in that we had a dog. No one asked the breed or size. We sort of crouched in fear all night hoping that we wouldn't be evicted (NO REFUNDS!) because we have a 75 pound dog. Argh. And the "pet walks" here are pathetic little bushes for the dogs to pee on. (NO POTTYING ANYWHERE ELSE! say the rules.) Geesh. Unless you're a serious ATV-er, find a nice state park around here. We wish we had. We were afraid of not having a reservation on a Saturday night. We shouldn't have been. We have drawn the shades and are awaiting morning when we can make a break for another state park. (And the Wi-Fi is indeed spotty, but working miraculously right now.) We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park has easy access to sand dunes. We had difficulty with our Verizon internet card and the park's Wi-Fi signal was up and down. Satellite reception was good. The sites were somewhat close with landscaping which needed to be trimmed. Overall it is a good park and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean, family run RV park. The owners care about the property and it shows. Located on Highway 101 about 5 miles south of Florence. The dunes are within walking distance. No real views but a good place to stay while exploring the area. Would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here just one night and then moved to the Elks club in Florence. It was OK, but WiFi is important to us and, although they say they have it, it doesn't work unless you take your laptop to the office. It is about 5 miles south of Florence and very quiet. Otherwise not much to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Surprisingly nice place just outside the sand dunes, and about a minute south of Sand Dunes Frontier (which is a great place to go if you don't have your own equipment). The couple who run the place are extremely friendly and helpful, and keep it very clean and neat, with good landscaping, even though the park is not inherently pretty. The people staying there were very nice as well, and despite the folks in the back (by the dunes) all having ATVs--this is one of the few parks that has direct access to the dunes--people all followed the rules regarding ATV use and noise, and the park was quiet in the evening. We all enjoyed climbing the safe path to the dunes in the evening and playing in the sand after our afternoon at Sand Dunes Frontier. We'd stay here again rather than try other places. I docked them one point for not providing paper towels or dryers and soap in the bathrooms (hey, charge an extra buck and provide some soap and a hand drier for the toilets!). The people in the office are exceptionally friendly and helpful to guests. The sites vary quite a bit in terms of separation and level. Overall they are better than most. The park shows a little bit of it's age in terms of hook-ups and facilities but everything works and is clean. If ATV's annoy you don't stay here. With direct dune access there, most of the sites are filled with four-wheelers. The park does a good job keeping joy riding in the park in check. Overall the park is better than many in the Florence area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park was reccomended by local business. I called before arriving to make sure they had room and directions. Very friendly staff and location is fantastic, would stay here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Owners are super people. They make your stay very pleasant. Close to the Dunes and activities. Have direct access to Dunes. Lake across the road for fishing. The reason we stayed there was that we got a flat tire across from their enterance. They bent over backwards to help us get our tire repaired and us back on the road. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great place to stay. They have private access to the dunes and across the street access to the lake for fishing. The owners are extremely friendly and very friendly! The only drawback is the sites are all gravel, not bad when you consider there is sand everywhere due to the dunes. I would definitely go back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Loved this park! Ken and Katie, the owners, are trying very hard to give everyone a good experience here. They back directly onto the dunes which is lovely, and are across the street from and have access to a lovely lake. Modem access in the rec room. Large, spacious sites. Good for Big Rigs. Nice area to explore. We camped here in a camper.
