Sites not level, sites not maintained, questionable persons wandering around. I would not stay here again. Self check in and payment placed into a collection box. Stayed in a 40' motorhome and only stayed here because it was close to a relative I was visiting. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are wide open with nice grass between them. The sites are a little off level but the little gravel in the grass keeps any mud at bay. We arrived around 3:30-4pm and had a choice of 4 pull-through sites. The Camp Host offered free tickets to the museum. Unfortunately we were only stopping over night so couldn’t use them. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A nice, quiet setting, with easily maneuverable sites. A good value. Showers were usable and fairly clean. A good location to see the area. Camp host was pleasant and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a small RV park on the Douglas County Fairgrounds property. The sites are gravel with some pull through and some back in. There is grass around the sites and the park is adding sprinklers to keep the grass nice. There is a bathroom and showers next to the RV park. There is a park host on site who is very helpful. There is a large park adjacent to the RV park which has great play areas for both dogs and kids. A natural history museum is also right next to the RV park. This is a nice place for a overnight stop or for a couple of days. There is a sewer dump on site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is really an excellent park, right next to the river, very beautiful. Park hosts are great, very helpful. Wi-Fi and cable are outstanding. restrooms and laundry are very nice, clean, and updated. The nightly rate is based on our weekly rate as we stayed for 2 weeks. We would definitely highly recommend this park. And we will be back again. This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in all year. We full-time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy to locate, a short distance from I-5. Host directed me to the site and explained the hookups. Wi-Fi is very good with no password hassles. It appears the majority of sites are permanent stays. Park was quiet and neat. I stayed here in 2007, hence the reason for picking this park again. There is an animal park nearby with camel rides and a few geocaches in the nearby area. I could not give perfect rating due to no screens on the shower rooms letting mosquitoes. shower with me. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Older park with gravel sites. We backed up to the river in a large site so our big 5th wheel rear window worked great! Nice friendly staff. Close to Wild annimal safari. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for two months in a back in site it was very nice for a gravel site mostly level and really wide room to park my truck beside the fifth wheel and the car behind the truck and still had the awning out and had a sitting area between them with picnic table. Restroom/showers are very clean and up to date. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV park is very very quiet except some traffic noise from Hwy. 99 and its not really bad. The bathrooms & showers are very clean. Handy nice pet area although we did not have our dog with us this time. Most of river view sites are occupied with long term folks, but no problem with a hiking path down to river. No swimming. Have to go through an RV dealer and a run down trailer park to get to the RV park, but it's OK for a short stay. No stores are close by and no mini market onsite. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is located almost 2 miles off I-5 so the traffic noise in non-existent. The host is friendly and there is an escort to the site. There is plenty of room to maneuver a big rig to the sites. Long, level pull-through so there is no need to unhitch. Site was level, no blocks needed. Restrooms, showers and laundry were spotless and well stocked. No store close by and no supplies for sale at the park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park. Clean. Excellent laundry facilities. Decent showers. The entrance is deceiving and park is nicer than it looks. Nearly all full timers. Not very kid friendly. River is nice. Road noise. Ok for a night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Happy with the park. Very friendly and helpful camp hosts, and the owners live in a house on site. Traffic is a bit loud, but better than many RV parks. Verizon broadband worked - did not try the WiFi. Takes big rigs OK. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Planned on staying for just a night but ended up staying three nights. Easy in and out through a RV dealership. 20 minutes to Costco through town and what we found great is the Wild Animal park about 15 minutes away. Lions, bears and so many other animals to see. You drive your car through the wild animal park. Had a great time. Park was clean and management was very friendly. The only downside is you do hear the traffic from the highway. Would visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Once you get past the RV dealership and the trailer park, the campground is very nice. We had a large lot backed up to the river close to the office. There are many longterm residents here and they have activities in the club house. The laundry facilities are great with almost new machines. WiFi and cable TV worked great. The office lent us a cable as ours was too short. The only bad thing about this campground was the noise from the highway. It didn't stop all night. A good pair of earplugs worked great. We stayed two nights because of the location. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed at this park once before and again were not disappointed. The only reason that we did not stay longer (we had planned a 3 day stay before heading further south) was a major Pacific storm that had 4-5 days of hard rain in our future and we had a few post storage maintenance issues to deal with that required outdoor work. The park was very welcoming toward our dog and there is a nice grassy pet area for her use. There were even fresh local apples in the office! A nice treat after a day's drive. The price is certainly right. We'll be back to visit again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Deceiving. The first view you get as you approach, is a RV dealership on one side and a mobile home park on the other. At the back is a separate section where the RV park is located next to the river. Has friendly service, the WiFi works well, there's 50amp and extensive cable TV. All at no extra charge. No question, if in the area, we will be here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park is very small with every river front spot taken by what appears to be permanent residents, which is too bad. We were in spots 55/56 with our friends, and were right on top of the freeway. The noise never stopped! The spots were pull thru which was nice. The water was terrible, so glad we had a double filter, our friends did not! It's close to all amenities and the wine tour. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The $27.00 per night includes taxes. Although the sites are not necessarily shaded, we had two trees and were able to sit outside in the shade. The only problem we had was road noise from the highway next to us. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a great spot for an overnight for us. We could see it working quite well for exploring the area. We had a nice, level pull-thru, so we didn't have to unhook. There's some road noise, but we had our AC on, so we didn't hear a thing. Staff was very friendly, restrooms were super clean, Wi-Fi was very strong and the river is very nice. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice RV park. Lots of trees. Gravel, level spots with grass by each space. Picnic table for each space. Lots of activities going on for those who want to participate. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Cable with lots of stations. I needed an adapter for the cable, and the host brought one right over for me to use. WiFi in half the park - where the overnighters normally stay. Other half will get WiFi. There are long-term folks in that side. But, all the units were kept very nice. Nice clean laundry, clubhouse, showers and bathroom. I stayed for 3 nights while visiting family in roseburg. I would stay here again. It would be nice if there was a pool. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a quiet park next to the river. There is some road noise but not too bad. We stayed overnight on our way to Canada and would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice and clean RV park. The host was very helpful and even took us directly to our site. The park is clean and well maintained. The only negative comment I could make would be the noise from the highway, which is very close to the park. We would stay at this RV park again, if we are down that way. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I stayed here for a week so I had the weekly rate. I made reservations early so had one of the spots near the river. Nicely mowed lawns and good pet areas. Newly paved entire park. Restrooms and showers clean. In fact the only negative I found was they chose 9am to clean the showers, in my mind that was prime showering time. Quiet park. Close to Roseburg. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Spent one night here on the way to Astoria, OR. Relied upon reviews from this site and was NOT disappointed! Check in was fast and courteous. Was in my site and hooking up within 10 minutes of walking into the office. Had space 43 right on the river. Free WiFi...very fast and easy to access! In fact, I sent in this review using their WiFi! Level, gravel sites. Cable TV has every channel you would want with great reception! Cannot say enough about this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent overnight park. Great rate and nice clean showers and restrooms. WI-FI free and good signal. Nice grassy area on the riverfront. Nice hosts. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed the riverfront site and being able to have a big campfire right on its banks. Even though there are long-term residents, the park is immaculately maintained and the owners obviously are very "hands-on" and care about the place a lot. I thought it was an excellent base from which to explore the area and check out Wildlife Safari! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Basically this is a resident park with a few pull-through spaces open for overnighters. The pads are gravel and not very level. The picnic table was in terrible condition. The manager was a pleasant lady. We were given a lower rate for paying cash. The park is on the banks of the South Umpqua River near the town of Winston (just south of Roseburg). We were there on a cold rainy night so didn't get to enjoy the picnic and swimming area by the river. A negative was a lot road noise during the night. This park is OK for an overnight stop, but not a destination park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park is located on the Umpqua River just outside the city of Winston. Many extra services
such as propane tanks picked up, filled and returned to site, payable with next rent - at a cheaper rate than in town! Park is decorated for all holidays. Above website is by a resident. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice shady and very friendly park. The owner was super friendly and made a fuss of us. The park is off the track a bit but is great if you want a quite spot with no road noise or trains (for a change). We had 6 RVs and were accommodated with no problem. Only downsides are the Wi-Fi only works at the office, and the beautiful trees do make it a bit tight for larger rigs. Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful spot with beautiful rural scenery (very similar to New Zealand). We camped here in a Motorhome.
Although the park is heavily wooded with wide spaces, the owner/manager taints the experience. First, she told us this was a great spot, and the "last" one. It was right on the only road, and it's busy all day. There are plenty of spaces open. The 1st morning she stood 6 inches from our RV for approximately 30 minutes watering plants while wetting down the picnic table, picnic bench, our grill and our outdoor chairs. Sprinklers were let run all day on the backside of the RV soaking the muddy ground. Narrow entry, tons of trees. Approximately 8 miles west of town. No river views from any spaces. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was one of the few times I really disagreed with the reviewers on this site. This park wasn't at all what I'd expected, given what I'd read on-line (well, except for the tight squeeze entry area! I could just barely drive out in our car when an RV pulled in!). Several older units, including the park host right in front. VERY low water pressure. They claim to have Wi-Fi, but I could never get on. They don't have all the cable channels they claim to (so really only a few channels to choose from), and you can't get satellite because of the trees. While the sites are long, and there is good space between units, the site is made narrow by trees. And you'd better be careful driving a longer rig around in the park - pretty tight! And while the trees might provide nice shade during the summer heat, we found them to make the park dark and sort of oppressive during the cold, cloudy weather. And watch out you don't miss the entrance, or you'll end up in the county park next door (looked like a very nice park) - like we did. And that wouldn't be so bad except there's no way to get into the RV park from that direction! So you have to go on down the road till you find a place you're comfortable with! It's fairly far off the beaten path as well, although this helps make it a quiet place (which is part of why we picked it). We can't understand the high reviews though and won't be staying there again. Price is with Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park has a canopy of trees that is just great. On a hot summer day (it does get hot in Roseburg area) makes for great shade. The roads are a bit narrow. The entry way is very narrow and not sure what I would do if a big rig was leaving while another was on the way in. In October it is like New England when the trees turn color. Our Good Sam Chapter has stayed many times and it is always a good camp out. Staff is nice and friendly. Reservations were easy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I should have listened to Never Again. This is a well kept park but the owner is extremely difficult to work with. I set up our site with a "Patio Mat" made of woven plastic strands that allow air to pass through and our folding chairs and tables on the mat. Then my wife and I went to the store for supplies. When we came back, we found the mat folded up and our chairs and tables placed on the folded mat. The owner then drove by in her golf cart and "TOLD" me that carpets are not acceptable and I would not be allowed to use our mat. We checked out one day early and she refused to refund the extra day, saying that "They keep our credit on the books for one year and do not refund". We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is a beautiful RV Park but Never Again!! They charge per person, per tent, per site; too expensive. We paid for 4 nights and left early without a refund because there are too many rules. I felt like I was in boarding school again. We needed to be in 3 tents but were only allowed to pitch two tents on two sites! AND after we paid nearly $400 for 8 people for the weekend she charged our elderly visitors $3 each to come into the campground to visit us. I have never seen or heard of such a thing. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
This is a lovely park, tall trees and quiet. It's like camping in with woods without the inconvenience. It's right in the middle of the area wineries. The owner is very nice and helpful. We would highly recommend this park and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is with Good Sam discount. This is an exceptional park. The spaces are large, the park is full of huge trees and grass, and the grounds are immaculate. It's a holiday weekend, the campground is full, and it's still quiet. The park is some 9 miles from the freeway so there's no traffic noise at all. We have stayed at RV parks all over the country and this is now one of our favorites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
After some bad experiences with previous RV Parks, we weren't sure a 9/10 rating would be possible, but here it is. This was like camping in a park, with manicured lawns, trimmed trees and a real sense of being outside. We enjoy seeing the stars at night and prefer a little darkness opposed to flood lights and bright coach lights glaring into our space all the time! Ideally located for some great wineries and shopping just down the road. We took our dogs to the adjacent park and since it was October, we had no problems. Beautiful river walk in the Regional park also. Very friendly owner, we stayed an extra, unplanned night because it was so pleasant. The rates were very low for this time of year and for a park of this quality. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice RV Park. Interior roads are paved and sites are gravel. Pull-through sites are long and may need some side to side leveling. Has lots of mature tree for shade and lots of grass between sites. Laundry facilities and restrooms are very clean. This is a busy park so be sure to make reservations ahead of time, we saw two large groups come and go during our stay. WiFi is available only to a few sites near the office; otherwise there is a computer room next to the office with phone and WiFi. Owners are very helpful and friendly. We will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This RV Park was Awesome. The Sites were Large. Lots of trees. Very quiet. The owners were very nice. Will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Registration was easy, site escort, which again we waited until they left and sited it to our liking, gated entryway only keeps car/trucks out, thought that meant it was secure, but isn't. And Wi-Fi is not consistently good. Other than those items this is a good RV park. Note that county park next door is not dog friendly from May through October, as in no dogs allowed. Sites are shady, our site a bit too shady, and be aware that there are no site park lites at night. So for those who like pitch black plus quietness, this is ideal. Sites are easy to level RV on. And staff is helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We could have stayed here forever. The site was shady and peaceful. Close to park and walking trail. Right on river. You feel as if you are driving out into no where, but it served our needs well. Clean. Wifi. No problems maneuvering a 30 footer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice, completely shaded park. Do not expect to get satellite TV reception. Wi-fi worked at my site. A wonderful, very pet-friendly, riverfront county park is right next door. The owner/hostess did give a short, tiny bit odd, oral intro to the park at check-in, but not "a 20 minute spiel" as another camper reported. Checkout time is 11:00AM "sharp!" There is an escort to your site. Park is convenient to the Roseburg VA Hospital. Next time I'm in the area, I probably will try another park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
After you get past the 20 minute spiel the owner/manager gives you (want it or not), we were led to our site. Sites are narrow gravel pads, reasonably spaced, marginally level. There are a lot of live-ins here, and much of the usual tacky amenities that go along with that. No Wi-Fi here and no satellite, due to trees. Gun shots from a nearby shooting range/military range were nearly constant and very distracting. Guess one gets used to the noise. We will not return! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A beautiful park-like setting with large level sites. There is a community park within walking distance and access to the river and a beautiful garden. The staff was helpful and the park was well-kept. Wi-Fi was not available at our site, but was available at the club house. We stayed here one night and would stay again in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice park. The only caveat is that they charge $3 per visit per person for all visitors regardless of length of visit. We found this to be extraordinary and expensive. We will not use this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It's really a very nice place and we will be back. The location and the setting are everything. However the water pressure is only 30 psi, the Wi-Fi was very weak, almost unusable, and while the sites are large the gravel area is narrow so you might be walking in mud if it rains. It's so pretty here that I can overlook the shortcomings. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park, big spaces, lot of trees. Owner, Vicky, is a very nice lady and cares about her guests. Campground is a few miles from town and this makes for a very quite stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice RV park. We've stayed here twice in 2007 and really enjoy the "campground feel" of this park (lots of trees, firepits at each site, etc.), but with the amenities of a full service RV park. A short walk to a local park along the river, plus a short walk to the Douglas County Master Gardeners Garden. Nice hosts and we'll definitely be back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great destination park -- also good for overnight -- just 10 min from freeway but very quiet -- right by the river. Shady, well landscaped, clean, well managed. Only complaint is that Wifi was weak and spotty. No big deal. We liked it so much that we stayed here in June on the way to Washington and stayed here again in July on the way back to California. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very quite park. No road noise and no city lights. Wi-Fi needs to be boosted to cover the park. We could not get any at our site. We will return as this is a great park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The only reason this park was not rated higher was due to the lack of Wi-Fi at the sites and no pool onsite. Owner claimed Wi-Fi was available at the office but I didn't try it so really can't comment on it. Swimming is available on the Umpqua River, accessible from the day use park next door. Otherwise, this is the nicest park I have stayed at in the past 5 months. Gorgeous trees, meaning shade (especially nice when hot), very long big rig site, gravel and not too bad level-wise, paved concrete patio outside your door, very clean and well maintained park. The owner was great: very friendly and accommodating. Her and her staff will take you to your site and make sure all is OK with you and your rig. Very nice and welcomed customer service, which seems to be greatly lacking at so many parks these days. I would most definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very quiet park near the Umpqua River. It is 4 miles from town but worth the drive. Staff is friendly and helpful. They take good care of the park and it shows. Staying here is enjoyable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
