Restroom's had toilet paper all over and standing water on the floor. Sink's and toilet
were filthy. I wouldn't walk into them they were so gross. The campground was unkept with old machinery around the perimeter. Their description said, "surrounded by river on 3 sides". Yes, if the tidewater counts! We did not stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Although the park is listed under Tillamook, it's actually six miles west in Netarts. The park is extremely tight, with little room between rigs and a tight turn to get into the portion of the park we stayed in. The roads were gravel and the sites dirt. Many seasonals; some of the RVs there will never go down the road again. The park appears to be a "fishing park" as some people had boats and talked about going fishing. As an overnight stop, we found the place adequate, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. The park Wi-Fi worked very well, as did the cable TV hookup. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older park with lots of permanent residents. Bathrooms and showers and laundry were clean. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Great WiFi and cable TV. We would stay again for sure. Right across the street from the bay. Our price was with Passport America. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a typical fishing campground. Good for 1 or 2 days. Spaces are tight for big rigs. The laundry room was marginal (2 washers, 1 dryer). This campground is listed in the Passport America (PA) Directory as being in Tillamook, OR, however, it is actually 6 miles West of Tillamook. The PA rate is $11/night, but is not available in Aug/Sep. The cable TV was very good and the wifi signal was strong. Make sure you take a trip to the Tillamok Cheese Factory if you stay here. FUN. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Older park, tight sites but great for one or two nights. Located on 3 Cape Loop so nice place to park then take the Loop, and into Tillamook for the Air Museum and cheese factory. Nice helpful people. Fresh, just harvested oysters available very reasonably. Have boats, crabbing and claming equipment available for rental. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here for 4 days after Thanksgiving. it was very nice. Oregon State parks are just great places to camp, and so economical. the site was fairly good size. It rained a bit. Mentioned it was in November right. but 2 of the days were beautiful. Great hiking on the cape lookout trail. Close enough to drive to Tillamook cheese factory as well as Pacific City for eats, and the Civil War game. Watch the fog. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
During the winter A & B loops are closed. C loop sites can be reserved, but D loop is first come first serve. Personally I prefer D loop as some of the sites are more open. Noticed a couple of permanently fixed satellite dishes in site D13? so that may be the cable TV shown in the park info? There is no off the air TV available. Pay phone is now close to the ranger station. There are no dumpsters in the loops. You have to take your garbage to the recycle center near the registration booth. The scenery and isolation here make this park one of the best in the state park system. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are here for a short stay, and we love it. It's a bit of a drive out here, and the road to the park is pretty bad (stuff flew everywhere...) but the park is awesome, very secluded, nice, well kept. It's right off the coast too, we walked to the beach from the site in just a couple of minutes, and we are in the interior. The showers at 9pm were too cold to use, so we used our own. We used a FULL hookup site, which is right by the bathrooms, and services worked well. My verizon broadband card had 2 bars here, and good speed, so no wifi needed. I'd stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We had a great site in the back of the park, where there was a lot of shade. Sites nearer the beach were more open and probably more affected by wind. We also noticed a lot of mosquitoes near the beach at twilight, but none at our camp. Kayaking on Netarts Bay was OK--but be sure to check the tide tables because a lot of the bay is mud flats at low tide. I launched my kayak from a site about 3-4 miles from the camp. I think I would have enjoyed it more (and had deeper water) if I'd gone all the way in to the little town of Netarts to launch, about 6 miles away. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
My favorite campground on Oregon's mid coast. Clean restrooms, nice wooded sites. The ones near the dune are close enough to ocean to hear the waves crashing. Oregon parks have a great Junior ranger program. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautiful beach and a very stormy place when we stayed there. A lot of the tent sites are closed for the winter. Hookup sites in D loop are not reservable from what I was told, but in C loop they are. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our third stop on our recent family vacation was the outstanding Cape Lookout State Park on the Three Capes drive south of Tillamook. Hwy 101 curves inland for Tillamook Bay and stays away from the coast for forty miles until it reaches the Lincoln City area. Cape Lookout is on a side road, the Three Capes scenic drive that stretches south of Tillamook along the coast. The campground has over 175 sites. Only 38 have hookups and they are for the most part randomly spaced along electrical and water lines to the bathrooms. This campground is often booked early so you should think about reservations. Cape Lookout is well worth it. Start with the beach--a beautiful stretch of sandy beach near a three mile sand spit that is virtually untouched by commercial development. If you like your destinations more natural this is the place for you. There are also miles of great hiking trails in the park, especially the 2.4 mile trail to the cape. But if you like to drive and visit places, Cape Lookout is a great home base too. To the north is Cape Meares SP with a very nice lighthouse and Netarts Bay with crabbing and shellfish. Tillamook is only seven miles north of the park and is large enough to have all services. The two big tourist attractions are the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Air Museum. I love the cheese, but really how fun is it to watch cheese being made? The tour is pricey, samples minimal, and the cheese is usually cheaper at the local Safeway. Within fifty miles you can visit Cannon Beach. To the south is the nice town of Pacific City. The Pelican Brewery there has a great restaurant right on the beach near Cape Kiwanda SP with amazing sandstone formations. Only twenty miles south is Lincoln City and more great beaches. We loved Cape Lookout. It is a peaceful, calm place to be. We will return soon and hope to see you there. We stayed in the back of the D loop in a nicely wooded spot with reasonable privacy. There are three large loops at Cape Lookout. The A/B loop runs parallel to the beach. Some sites are 100 feet away. The sites at the far end are some of the best in the park. Closer to the beginning of the loop it is just a large grassy meadow with no privacy between sites. The B loop sites along the back are the best there I think. Both the C and D loops are perpendicular to the beach, but even where we were at the back it was an easy five minute walk to the beach. They are wooded and many are fairly private. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This says their are ocean view sites, we never saw them. There is a sand dune in front of the sites we saw blocking the view, perhaps further down but I didn't see them. The overall sites were great. Nice and level, a little small for our trailer and pickup but we got last spot that day so we were not complaining. The beach is fantastic and beautiful. Kids had an excellent time. Wish we could have spent longer at this park. As usual the state parks in Oregon are great. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a great State Park. We have been here several times and always enjoy ourselves. There are all kinds of trails to walk. The beaches are very nice. You have enough space and screening between sites to have a sense of privacy. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of our favorite campgrounds. Located 12 miles out of Tillamook, Oregon in a coastal rainforest. There are 38 hookup sites, 1 electric, 176 tent, 10 yurts, and 3 cabins. Rates for hookup sites during prime season (May-Sept) are $20 night, $16 the rest of year. Can be reserved up to 9 months ahead. The campground is behind sand dunes and has one of the most lovely white sand beaches anywhere. Loops A & B are directly
behind the dunes and do not have trees. Loops C & D are in the coastal forest and have privacy shrubs between them. All sites are back-ins. Each loop has clean restrooms and unisex showers. Several lovely hiking trails in the area. This is a wonderful place! We camped here in a camper.

Nice park on the Oregon coast. wide flat sandy beach, family style shower rooms, very clean restrooms. only has 38 full hookups (all back-ins and some are tight axcess and fills up fast on weekends and summers recommend reservations. The "tent" dry sites near the beach are nice . There is a free dumpsite just outside the campground entrance. We camped here in a camper.
Nice little park with very good facilities (FHU, 60+ channel cable TV, and free, at site Wi-Fi). As previously noted, park is just a gravel lot so there is no visual appeal. Very good for an overnight stop and could be used for touring the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly owners but it just a large gravel parking lot. We camped with our Good Sam chapter and had a good time. Has nice group fire pit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is nothing more than a gravel paring lot. No trees, shrubs and no privacy. Located right on HWY 101 so constant traffic noise. Showers are pay (.25 for 6 min). Free Wi-Fi. City ordinance prohibits sewer hose from laying on ground so bring something to elevate it. Right across hwy from Tilamook Cheese Factory (over 30 flavors of yummy ice cream). OK for one night stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice, clean, quiet and shaded park. This park had the nicest, cleanest restrooms and laundry (W-$1.25; D-$1.00) that we have encountered so far. Staff is friendly. Store on site, but store and office close about 6 p.m. Not near water, but several recreation sites are nearby. Strong Wi-Fi link throughout. Multiple cable channels. We paid $32 full hookups w/Good Sam discount. Some permanent occupants, but neatly kept for the most part. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The Park has the potential to be a great place to stop. However, the sites are so narrow if the adjacent unit has a slide you may not have room for your table let alone put out your awning. When we were their the smell from the dairy farms nearby was very noticeable. We would, however, return because of the location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Wow, you get a free bag of popcorn when you check in! Plus the very nice camp host gives you some brochures for things to do. This park is about 6 miles south of Tillamook off Highway 101 South. I was surprised at how full it was in September, but apparently this park is popular with the fishing crowd and for RV Rallies. The RV sites are close together, as in, your picnic table is right next to your neighbor's hookups. My slideout was a few inches from the neighbor's awning. If you can overlook this issue, this is a great park to spend a couple days relaxing. There are lots of trees for shade. The park has a store with some canned food and RV supplies if you are desperate. The club room is charming, with a welcoming atmosphere for group parties. There is a nice large laundry area, which includes two commercial sized dryers in case you need to dry a comforter. There are five separate unisex restroom/shower areas located in the laundry area. The restrooms/showers were clean, considering how busy they were. They close the laundry/restrooms for two hours in the middle of the day for cleaning. If you are traveling with children, there is a fairly large playground in the back of the park. Cable TV had a good variety of 53 channels. Wireless worked great! This is a nice, quiet park. Even if the "fishing crowd" fires up at 5:00 AM, this is a brief interruption and you can just go back to sleep. Lastly, they sell propane if you need it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Husband rates this park a 6 due to low hanging branches and open bathroom/laundry design yielding privacy/ventilation challenges. I rate a strong 7 for beautiful ambiance, friendly front office, cleanliness and ease of access to 101. Packed gravel internal roads with grass parking pads. Price noted w/o sewer hookup. Limited Verizon cel/broadband service. This one will appeal to those who are rustic travelers at heart: overlook some rough edges in exchange for a magnificent setting. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This R.V. park is wonderful. It is located close to the coast but far enough away that you don't have the cold wind blowing down your neck. The spaces are a little close. The staff is very helpful and keep the park very clean. 3 very large dog walks with tall grass that the dogs can run and play in. Many points of interest and back woods roads to explore area. 5 miles to Tillamook. Wake up temperature is in the mid 50's and daytime temperatures are in the mid 70's. This is a great find. We started at 4 days and we've been here for over a week. WiFi is real strong. Gravel roadways with grass everywhere else. Bathrooms and Laundry are clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An older park, but well kept up. Gravel & grass, lots of trees. Near the Tillamook river. Had a nice play area for dogs. Some nice hiking trails also. No problem for our 24' motorhome, but longer rigs may have a problem maneuvering through the trees. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very quiet campground due to mostly seniors in large motorhomes. Motorhomes lined up side by side on cement pads with little patches of lawn between them, each with one little tree. We felt a little "small" in our tent trailer. Very clean and spacious individual bathrooms / shower rooms...very nice for privacy but no soap to wash hands! Laundry facilities were very nice. Lots of amenities like cable TV, WiFi included in price, but if you don't need those extras (like us) there was no discount in the price unfortunately... so we found the price $28 to be high...but overall a really clean and quiet campground. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
A very nice RV Park with plenty of shade. The sites are a bit tight but enough room for tables and chairs. Great location close to beaches. The WIFI was not very good, had to sit in the main building to get on line. They have a good store with all of the neccessities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Quiet country setting, lots of trees & grass. Well managed & clean. A little pricey but we were there at the height of the tourist season. The WiFi was inconsistent, most of the time we had to go to the office area to get on the internet. The reason given was they were in the process of getting a better router. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a fairly nice RV park with large pull thru sites. Interior roads and sites are mostly dirt which wouldn't be too bad except the three days we were here it rained and we tracked in a lot of mud. Like a lot of RV parks we have stayed at, they advertise WiFi, but it only works in the office. They do have a very nice area in back of the office where you can sit and use the WiFi but it closes at 6pm. They say they are improving the WiFi, but if I come here again I would check other nearby RV parks to see if they have better service before coming here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place is bad, they gave me a place that I was lucky to get in and out of. Too many untrimmed trees, no pavement or gravel, just dirt spaces. Was so bad I got my money back and went to another park. They advertize Wi-Fi but said it was broken. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean park as noted before, with nice shade and decent (not great) spacing between the sites. The showers were great and offered unusual privacy. Could have had a party in there. Don't be put off by the smell of cows as you get closer to the place if you're driving north on 101: Pleasant Valley really is pleasant and is away from the dairy farms. This was a quiet place to stay en route to or from the sights in Tillamook (i.e. the surprisingly entertaining Tillamook cheese factory and the excellent Air Museum). The park is not a destination in itself, but is a good, quiet place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A very nice campground just south of Tillamook. Although right along hwy 101, there was
very little traffic noise. Formerly a KOA (according to owners, and building design), so some sites are a bit on the narrow side, but not bad. Enough room for slide outs and awnings. Aerial photo on their website is from 1989, at least according to a similar one inside the store that is dated, so there are lots more trees tnan the photo shows. Most sites are well shaded, so you wouldn't need your awning for shade, rather an umbrella if it were raining. Showers are basically a "full bath" setup with sink and toilet in a room big enough to move around in comfortably. We had site B10 and had to back out to leave due to trees and rocks in the way of going forward, but no problems. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This would be a great park if they would oil the roads. If it's been dry, rude drivers can kick up a lot of dust. Good store and most spots are under trees. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
I agree with other reviewers comments. We paid $25.64. This park is convenient as it is 2 miles north of the cheese factory. It is small but can accommodate a few big rigs. Call first. There is some highway 101 noise. The Wi-Fi worked great. They do recycling which I support. One of the 2 dryers was broke so it took the wife more time than she likes to do the laundry. The office lady was up front about the dryer and worked with me on selecting the best site for our needs. The biggest down side is that the showers require Quarters ($.25). One Quarter gets you 3 minutes plus, 2 some more time and so on. I can understand why RV parks in high pedestrian traffic areas use coin operated showers but this park shouldn’t. The showers (2) were uni-sex but that is not the problem. IMHO coin operated showers are an indicator of a problem in what should be a standard RV campground. We checked on the fees for the nearby golf course and they were far too high. They wanted $56 for 2 to play 9 holes with a cart. Tomorrow we are playing a 3 and ½ star, 18 hole course in Florence, Ocean Dunes, for $60. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here before and would return. The park is clean, sites are level, electricity, wifi and water pressure are all OK. The sewer connections are at the very rear of the site so 20 ft. or more of sewer hose would help. Staff is friendly and helpful. Another poster mentioned barking dogs. We have not seen or heard one dog. Maybe there were travellers here with dogs during his stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites are gravel and flat. Kind of narrow with about 15 to 20 feet between the sides of units. There are 30 RV sites with about half with 50 amp power. Rest are 30 amp. Thirty amp voltage is reading 121 with no load. Tent sites about 20 +/-. Good WiFi and a clear shot for DirecTV. The signage coming from the north is non-existent. Barking dogs are not controlled and there is a lot of US 101 traffic noise. Campground is neat, dogs might be a problem?? I cannot compare this park against any other as this is our first trip on this route. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access off Highway 101. Gravel interior roads and sites with some grass sites. Sites are a little close together, but slide-outs can open. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Nearby to many activities. WiFi works great. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not bad but sewer connection was at the end of the site and I would have needed 40 feet of hose to connect to it. Manager was not in when we arrived at about noon but was helpful when she did arrived. Wi-Fi worked intermittently. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very enjoyable CG, particularly well-maintained. Bathrooms and showers were very nice and the wood sculptures around the sites whimsical. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, clean, friendly park. Very well maintained. Located on Hwy 101, there is some road noise, but a very good place to stay in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very new campground, basically a gravel parking lot. Central shower and bathrooms. Surrounded on 2 sides by levees and rivers where a dock and fishing is available. No trees. This site has no sewer hookups because of local restrictions. We were told they have applied to the city, but are having trouble getting permits because of the close proximity to the rivers. Staff very friendly and helpful. We chose this site because it was far enough away from the coast to be out of the fog and wind. We day-tripped to Garibaldi, Tillamook and other coastal towns, for fishing and crabbing. Good choice for our use. Might be rated as a "fisherman's campsite." We camped here in a Motorhome.
