We have stayed two different times in the past two years. We have relatives in Chambersburg, and this is the closest campground around. Management is friendly, and flexible. Sites are large, grassy, clean and mostly shaded, although, some are sunny if you prefer. We stayed for two days, so sewage was not a problem, although they have a dump station available at no charge, when leaving, which we used. Negatives if any: the entire campground sits low, so when it rains severely, takes longer to drain water. Would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful setting among the dairy farms really captures the spirit of the Cumberland Valley. Great back roads for biking or jogging. Short drive to good shopping. Well-mowed grassy creekside sites. Nice people operating it. Needs some modernization in a few areas and attitudes: Doesn't accept credit cards yet (told that may happen soon), charge for more than one dump per stay, bath houses need modernization, water was silty after a hard rain, no wifi (I work while traveling). With a few basic updates this campground could be a 3 or 4-star jewel. Until then I can only give it 2 stars. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

One of the most unusual campgrounds I’ve ever stayed in. I was here for 14 days due to visit with son and family. The place is a large typical Pennsylvania operating farm – barn, cows, tractors, etc. Scattered around the farm is the campground, some here, some there, some way over there. Long terms in one area, weekenders in another, storage in another. A large portion of the sites are in a fairly flat open field but be careful – electric is strung from pole to pole and some wires are hanging low. Water pressure is very low and sometimes non-existent. 30 amp only, extra charge for AC and NO SEWAGE. The roads leading here from major roads are typical Pennsylvania county roads, NARROW, UP, DOWN, CURVE – NO straight sections. Be careful of overhanging branches and trees sitting right along the edge of road. It is quiet and dark enough at night to do a lot of star gazing. The owner(?) seems friendly enough but spends most of his time mowing and running the farm. NO store and not very much nearby. A creek runs through the grounds and some folks are fishing. This would be a great place for a family with a little camper who want to spend the weekend in the country with the kids. I will not be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
