We arrived on Friday for opening weekend of Hershey Park. Check-in was quick and efficient as we were already pre-paid. Our first time staying in this campground, although we have driven through a few times before. We were in site 215 in the Woodland section. Sites in the Woodland are very tight and can feel a little like a parking lot, but all sites are VERY level and long enough to fit camper and tow vehicle. As we did not need to drive anywhere for the weekend, we just pulled in and turned off the truck. Level and ready to set up, we didn't even un-hitch. Site 215 is on the 'outer' loop of the Woodland and backs to a field and hill that is good for dog-walking. You already know from the other reviews that the train is an active train. Probably 2 to 3 trains an hour rumble by at the top of the campground. From the Woodland section, you hear the train, but it is certainly not a big bother. No horns or anything - just a rumble. If you're in a camper, you probably won't be bothered while you sleep. Maybe in a hybrid or popup you'll hear it, but again - not obnoxious by any means. Staying in the Hershey Highmeadow Campground allows you to use a "Preview" night - getting in 2.5 hours before the park closes for free. They mark your tickets to note that you used your preview. Then, next day, you can go for the full day in the park. The preview allows you to 'close the park' and experience the rides after dark without having to put in a whole 12 to 14 hour day in the park. Additionally, staying in the campground allows you to enter the park an hour before opening. Let's talk about site selection. We have a 29 foot travel trailer and would never imagine going without sewer hookups. I have two teenage daughters!! That's one of the reasons I picked the Woodland section - sewer and away from the train. Now that I've been on-site and walked around, I would highly recommend sites 1 through 6 or 7 in the Hilltop section. They are very nice vistas on a terraced hill. Plenty of space between sites, still W/E/S and a fair amount of shade. You might be thinking that the sites are a bit close to the railroad tracks, but as I said before, I think you'll be fine if you're in a hard-sided RV of any kind. If you plan on going to the park on the day you checkout, do not expect that you'll be granted a late checkout or be able to stay on your site. There is usually a good amount of traffic and turnover of sites. You can take the camper to the parking lot of the park, but the cost to park is about $25. No seasonal campsites in this park. Clean, orderly, decent amount of family groups. Some cub scouts / boy scouts in the tenting area. Nice atmosphere. Overall, a very nice park. Highly recommend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate based upon 4 night stay, no discounts, off season. EXCELLENT overall, just disappointed when they park units side by side when there are plenty of spaces available. Otherwise, pleasurable. Strong Wi-Fi. Shuttle runs weekends only off season. Immaculate restrooms. Nice store. Very friendly arrival staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here two weeks in a row - first for the RV show at Hershey, then to pick up our new Camper. Sites are a little close to each other, but considering the proximity to the area attractions, not surprising. The freight train runs by the campground and can be heard at all times of the day and night. The weekend seemed to be less frequent. We stayed in both the Hilltop and Woodland sections. Some of the sites in the Hilltop area are small and back-in was tight. Overall a very good park. Staff was very friendly, good Wi-Fi, and good cable service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed while working the RV show. I did notice a few train horns which I had not noticed in the past. The free shuttle each day to the show out weighs any bad. Very crowded for the weekend but no problems. We already have a spot for next year's show. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We overnighted here after the Hershey RV show. The staff and the facilities could not have been nicer. There was a lot of big rig traffic, but it was well organized and contained to one area of the park. There was no mention of Wi-Fi in the literature or upon check-in, but I also forgot to ask. Although the rates may be a bit high, this park has done a remarkable recovery since they were devastated by the floods last year. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here while we visited Hershey. Difficult for us to find but staff guided us via phone while we approached the area. Reservations are needed as the campground fills fast. We initially had difficulty getting reservations but after calling back all of a sudden they had a spot for us. This was a month in advance and a little confusing to me. Check-in was easy. maneuvering around the campsite in a big rig with tow can be difficult. Roads are narrow and at peak season traffic and campers are often impeding the roads. The campground itself was OK. Pool and facilities are fairly clean. It is a high volume campsite so maintaining the facilities is difficult. The noise from the train was audible to us but not bothersome. Our site was farthest from the tracks however. One great service is the shuttle to the Hershey attractions. Tickets can also be purchased in advance. I recommend utilizing both of these services. We would stay here again, but would avoid peak seasons due to the crowds at the attractions and campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is part of the Hershey Family so it is totally geared to kids and those visiting Hershey Park. The majority of the sites are full hook up and the amount of travel trailers, 5th wheels and motorhome's is huge, it was fun walking around looking at all the trailers to plan out a future purchase. The Woodland area as some of the others are small and close but the time you spend at the campground makes it a non issue. The bus transportation to the park is a great value. The store is loaded with most everything you need plus great Hershey items in case you missed something at the park. These is a train near by but if you are in the Woodland section or by the river you can hardly hear it. The campground has 2 nice pools and an arcade as well as some entertainment. Would stay again if visiting the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is geared to the younger crowd with age 13 being ideal. Its an all night party place. Mostly tent and pop up campers and very few motorhomes. The noise level in this campground is extreme as there is a train that runs 24 hours and will shake you out of bed even in a motorhome. Then there is the quarry which runs all night with all kinds of noises. Sites are extremely small and only a hand full have sewer. There is a pump out station there which charges $10.00. A camping store with prices 3 times that of Walmart and it is stocked with mostly Hershey items. It has a great shuttle service to the park. I would not stay there again as I like to sleep nights We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting the park. The shuttle service is very good, running every half hour, and you get into one section of the park an hour early. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy and the store was fairly well stocked. The sites by the road are pretty tight, we were lucky and got one up on the hill where there is more room. I would not stay in the bottom. There is a train, but we honestly never really heard it, and it certainly didn't shake us out of our bed, and our site wasn't too far from the tracks. You can hear the equipment from the quarry, but it is just a drone sound from the machinery, nothing too obnoxious. I certainly wouldn't let those things keep me away. We would stay there again, mainly for the benefit of the shuttle and early entrance. It's great to ride Skyrush before everyone else gets to the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park to visit the area and go to Hershey Park. Sites are tight and small but you are not there often. Staff is good but they need to learn where the sites are. We asked to be near tent sites as we had people tenting, and they went by the map which does not match the site locations so we ended up far away from the tenting area. There were many sites closer and other friends that booked after us got closer to the tent area. Pool was nice as was the store. Will stay again if we ever go back to the park but no other reason to go. Bus service was a huge plus as was the resort pass that got us passed the lines when going to the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park if you are going to Hershey and really enjoy the Hershey theme. The park is jam packed with trailers/motorhomes and tents. Very little space between each camper. Very tight for any large rigs or motorhomes. Beautiful area, staff is super friendly and the stores/office/restrooms are very clean. The pool area is very nice and family friendly, even having entertainment from time to time! Shuttle to Hershey Park is the real attraction to the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We came in for the Cirque du Solei Michael Jackson tribute at the Giant Center. We've stayed at this campground 3-4 times and it always pleases us. Yes the sites are tight, however our 42' coach w/4 slides had plenty of room to get set up. The hook ups were all on a pedestal and the cable is outstanding. My wife is watching (and ordering, right now) QVC and she is glued. The sites are gravel and auto leveling was no problem (a plus) for us. We are on Woodland site 225 and it was neat that because we prepaid the day before online we were allowed to drive right to the site. The WiFi seems to work as desired. The campground is a mecca for kids and families, especially with so much Hershey activities. This is a great destination; if you play the license plate game you are sure to fill out 35-40 of the fifty states as you park in the Hershey grounds parking lot. The campground has 3 terrific pools (1 kiddie) for guests and lots of chairs. The camp store has lots of supplies both food and RV. The shuttle to the parks is a nice touch and used often. You are warned about the trains and a quarry in the immediate area so as not to be surprised or troubled. It was a non-issue from all that we saw. Well time to get ready for the show. We stayed here for two nights in site 208 (Woodlands area). From the time we checked in, service was great. Since we arrived on a Friday afternoon, there were many campers doing the same, and there were many staff members that checked you in very effetely while you stayed in your camper. Very convenient free shuttle service to and from the park. We attended a concert at Hershey Park and they do run the shuttle later (11:45) for concert goers. Along with discounted Hershey Park tickets staying at the campground allows you to enter the amusement park one hour before the "normal" operating times. This is a campground where you are parked side by side although there was plenty of room for both of our slideouts and awning. Sites were fairly level with minimal leveling needed. Great hookups with power pedestals having 50, 30 along with 20 amp receptacles. Water pressure was great, many channels with the cable TV, and fast draining sewer . We did not use any of the amenities that the park offered but walked through and everything looked extremely well maintained and clean. We did see the train, but did not hear anything in the Woodlands area. The tent area is closest to the train. I will give it an 8 only because we normally like a campground with more space and privacy. We would recommend and stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are on a 3500 mile camping trip and came from Luray Jellystone to High Meadows, so our views of this campground might be a bit skewed. The sites are small (Woodland, FHU), but have great Wi-Fi, good cable, but sites are not quite level and are pea gravel, which gets tracked into the TT. The shuttle service to/from Hershey Park is great with short wait times except first thing in the am or late in the pm. Pools are cold, but that seems to be the norm up here. The laundry has new front load washers and the dryers are hot and quick. We definitely would return here and probably will in a few years. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We live close to Hershey and stayed there mainly to shake down our camper before a week-long trip. We also had a 20% off coupon. The campground is fine if you're visiting Hershey Park or the surrounding region. There was severe flooding in 2011, and, as a result, they rebuilt the office/store and many of the bathroom facilities. The new office resembles a ski lodge and is very attractive. The pools looked great too but weren't yet open for the season. It looked liked there were a number of newly built cabins also. They put us on site 100, which is close to a new playground and the office. The sites in our area all had new utility hookups and fresh gravel. Our site was perfectly level but I noticed a few sites that I would never accept because they were too uneven or sloped for my comfort level. One section has stream-front sites and they looked decent. That was the only part of the campground that appeared to be "woodsy" in any sense. The section near the main road is mainly for large rigs (all pull-throughs) and the section we were in was mainly back-in, with camping cabins close by. All sites are close together. One complaint about this campground is the train traffic. Yes, it was close and frequent, maybe 70 yards from our site. But, we always use a white noise generator at night and it didn't bother us. If you need silence to sleep this isn't the place for you. I wouldn't say it offers a true "camping experience" and certainly isn't in the middle of a forest, but for being a mile or two from Hershey Park its hard to beat for convenience. There was at least one other playground besides the one next to us, and during the summer season there are some activities offered. We were too early for that though. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved everything about this park: the free shuttle to Hershey Park, the awesome camp store and even the amount of space between the sites in the Hilltop area. The only negative for us was the constant noise from the trains. One might not have much issue with the trains if they are in a camper with your AC unit running. We would bring our travel trailer back here and camp again or rent a cabin. We got to see the inside of a cabin that sleeps 7 and it was very nice. The Wi=Fi also worked well. We camped here in a Tent.

The campground was nice and well maintained. We opted to drive to Hersheypark and pay $10 instead of waiting for the shuttle bus. Seemed to work better for us. The train mentioned in other posts was very loud and frequent. Because of this we requested a site in Woodland section and it was still pretty loud even with the AC on. This did not affect my thoughts on the campground because the woman who took our reservation was very clear about it. Also the roads and sites were narrow in this section. Our fire ring was about 2 feet from the slide on our neighbors RV. We stayed in site 165. Don't want this review to sound too negative because overall we were happy with this campground and would definitely return. This is a great place to stay when visiting Hersheypark and guests can enter the park an hour earlier than normal opening time and buy discounted tickets at the store. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has a freight train running through it. In addition to a train running every half hour, there were buses coming through the campground until very late turning around with bright lights beaming into our tent. Cheap park tickets, but forget sleeping. We camped here in a Tent.

This was our first stay at Hershey Highmeadow. We had been warned that the spots were tight - and they were right! The park is well run and clean. However, don't expect privacy. If you're staying in the woodlands area, avoid the row by the entrance as the shuttle runs every half-hour up the hill. The back row is best. The sites at the top of the hill endure trains all day and night (the park posts signs warning of this before you check in). Water, elect, sewer and cable were fine. Wi-Fi was free and very strong. The pool and store were excellent. We had a bit of concern over the apparent lack of security staff or gate for non-park members. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice campground. Everything is clean and well maintained. The pools are really nice and they always have life guards. They have some fun activities like movie nights and candy bar bingo. The shuttles back and forth to Hershey Park and Chocolate World are fantastic. They run often! The best parts were the hour you get to enter this park before the general public, and the discounted tickets they sell at the general store. We got so much done in that hour even though there were only 2 sections of the park open. We stayed in the Woodlands. Thank goodness we were in one of the outside rows, the middle row looks cramped. There is not a lot of privacy here and it is a noisy campground. We were right off the major road so you hear cars and trucks. You can't miss the train running all night but with the ac at night, it didn't affect our sleeping. Overall, it's the perfect place to stay if you're going to Hershey Park. If not, I'd probably stay elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean and well-maintained. Convenient free shuttle to Hershey park. Fair Tengo Wi-Fi coverage, though in the evenings the channels were overcrowded, not surprising in a camp that attracts so many families with children. Level, shady, solidly packed gravel spots. The pool looked nice, though we didn't take advantage of it. Lots of open grassy areas for kids to run and play. Campers are eligible to purchase discounted attraction tickets. Within walking distance of supermarket and restaurants. We stayed in the "Woodland" section, which is all pull-throughs. The sites are tightly packed, and are oriented such that none of the four traffic lanes, which are only one-vehicle wide, can be designated solely for exit. On departure we experienced a standoff with a fifth wheeler heading the other direction, necessitating one of us back up several hundred feet with little clearance to either side. Very active railroad line adjacent to the park, though our area was somewhat sheltered from the noise by a hill. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had a very enjoyable time here. Many positives about this park. The pools, game room, store, playgrounds, and park shuttle are great. The employees were friendly. The trains did not bother us. Yes, they do pass frequently but we got used to them. We stayed along the stream in a full hook up. In my opinion, the pull through area is very cramped. There are other full hookups along the stream and they have recently added sewer hookups to some of the hilltop sites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at Hershey Highmeadow Campground for Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in site 42 which was located in the top campground. Wi-fi was very good and was included in our nightly rate. The site itself was not very good. There was a decent amount of mud and it was very un-level. In touring the park we found that there are many good sites to choose from. The pool seemed nice and the campground store was excellent. Customer service in the campground was also good. Had it not been for our poor site, I would've rated this park higher. Our site did not have sewer; however, there were many full hook-up sites in the Woodland area of the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love to camp here in the summer and in the winter time. We stay here when we go to Hershey park for their Christmas events. It's a great place to camp with kids. The pool and playground are very nice. The whole place is clean, even when it is crowded. They have an awesome shuttle service that takes you to different places in Hershey. It picks you up at the front of the campground and takes you right to the park. It comes at different times, so there's always a shuttle that you can catch! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here in Nov. to see the Christmas Lights and park. Nice, well kept campground. Staff, friendly and helpful. Great location to visit the area. We had site 104 Meadow View. Nice size site, big rig friendly, with hook ups in good location. The train noise at night was terrible. It ran about every 20 minutes at night. Woodlands area seemed that the sites were on top of each other. Accessible for the big rig as well, with care. Also full hook up area. The tenting area looked like it would work well. You would get to hear a brook at night, not a train. Shuttle buses ran nonstop to and from Hershey Park. Wi-Fi was free and service good. Campground looks like it would be very busy in the summer. We would return again. Price reflects winter rates, luckily the water was still on. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When making reservation it took a long time the lady stated she was trying to find us a site. Upon arrival the park was almost empty I wondered why it took so long. Hard to get into sites in the woodlands area log of trees not very long sites. Will come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very courteous staff. Many sites do not have sewer but do have water and electric. Dump station is available. Sites are very well maintained. Pull thru sites are the closest together that I have ever seen! The pull through lots are covered with a canopy of huge trees. From many sites you can throw a baseball and hit the train tracks. The tracks are very busy with trains and some going by seemed to like to blow their train horns. This park is way over priced for what it offers. I know it is located near Hershey Park but parks like this should only be a $35-$40 a day facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was here for a Class B rally and the area they put us in had such unlevel sites I could not get level. The manager did move me to a different site when I complained. I thought the sites had too much litter on them. There's an active freight train track that runs right next to the campground. It didn't really bother me, but it did bother some folks. Overall I thought the campground was way overpriced. It wasn't horrible, but I would not bother to stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Getting into some of the sites can be a little tight. During our stay we had to move from FHU to W/E site. Almost hit a tree backing into the W/E site. Train was just a noise, no horns so it did not bother us. On complaint was the stink bugs that invaded out coach. We are still trying to get rid of them. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed two nights. Had a large shaded pull-through site in the Woodland section. The sites are a bit tight but there was room for our slides and the awning. All the utility connections are at the back of the site so the sewer run was long for us. There is a lot to offer for children: outdoor movies, pool, game room and there were a lot of children. Most of the people staying here were going to the theme park. They warn you about being along train tracks but we were never bothered by it. There is a shuttle to Hershey park and a large camp store. We've stayed at Hershey Highmeadow Campground several times, in a tent, pop-up, travel trailer, motorhome and cabin. This stay we were in our motorhome. The pull thru sites are big rig accessible and nice and shady. However, the sites are close together. This campground is best experienced in a tent or pop-up in the Shady Rest section of the campground along the river. The campground staff is very friendly, on the caliber of Disney Cast Members. (On a previous trip the tow vehicle of our trailer broke down en-route to Hershey. We came in on a tow truck that parked our trailer and then drove to the nearest dealership. A staff member, at 11 pm on a Saturday, drove over to the dealership with us to drive me back to the campground!) The restrooms are always clean. The pool is large with several lifeguards, but usually crowded. They have activities for kids and a shuttle to several of Hershey's attractions (not just Hershey Park). In the motorhome, I didn't hear the active freight train once (thank goodness since it does run all night long). We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park! It's clean and well kept; the lawns were very green and cared for. There is a nice little stream running through the grounds. Pool is nice and located just outside the office. Hershey park tickets are available at a discount at the office and a shuttle runs every 20 minutes to the park, very convenient. Garbage pick up at curbside daily: no trips to a stinky dumpster. Our site was <100 feet from very active freight train track. Not as bad as you would think, tracks were elevated, keeping the noise overhead, mostly a rumble/whish sort of noise like a plane. This was scary the first time. Some may find it objectionable. We would stay here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground. But the trick is to get a campsite at the bottom by the stream. If you are on top, there are train tracks and the train does run. All in all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The pools are nice. The people are nice and respectful to each other. We love this campground, and come here several times a year. We camped here on a Monday night and the campground was fairly empty. Because we were only in for one night, we chose a site on the hilltop with E/W only. Office gal assigned us a site but said we were welcome to change sites after looking and let her know. We drove around the hilltop several times trying to find a level spot, which wasn't easy. The most level one was next to the fence that separates the campground from the train tracks. We love trains, so it was a good match for us. It was fun hearing and seeing them roar by. Didn't phase our dogs a bit. Facilities were average; sites were small and a little rough. This campground's biggest asset is location, as has been said many times here. I wouldn't choose to stay here during high season and high crowds. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first stop on 2010 and the only (fingers crossed) in a tent as our new popup will be ready later this week. The campground is very nice. We stayed in site 90 just a short walk to the bathhouse. The site was very level and there was an adequate amount of space between sites. Most importantly, the bathrooms and especially the showers were very clean, even during the height of the morning "rush". The only problem is the very busy freight train tracks right next to the campground. We were close (it felt like under sometimes) and the trains are constantly running all night. Let me tell you, it took a while to ignore the ground shaking and noise of each passing. Overall, if you're going to Hershey Park, this is a nice place to stay. I'd try to stay as far away from the trains as possible. We camped here in a Tent.

This is a well kept campground that was packed when we arrived. Sites are close together in "Woodland" section, but they are pull throughs that are long with nice shade trees. We were comfortable. Easy in and out with large 5th wheel. We could hear the train during the day, but it was not that loud, and we did not hear it at all at night. (Windows were closed since it was cool.) I think we would actually stay closer to the train since those sites are grassy, larger, and near volleyball court/basketball etc. Shuttle to Hershey Park was great and delivered us to the park entrance. Staff was nice. We liked this campground and will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second year for the Halloween time frame. We always have a great time and the cg really does a lot for the kids around this time of year. A lot of the sites are very tight, especially the full hookup woodland area. Meadow view is a little better for full hookup's however you back up to the train. It's kind of a tossup. The Hilltop you have more room but no sewer. All in all it's a nice CG and we'll be back again next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

After reading other reviews with EVERYONE mentioning the EXTREMELY SMALL campsites, I can't imagine a rating higher than a 6. These were the narrowest and shortest campsites I have ever seen. It is very difficult to position your rig so you are not in your neighbor's window. Then, there is barely enough space for your picnic table (ours was right under our neighbor's slide-out) or find a suitable place for the fire ring. The Woodland section was wooded, but that's about all. You are right off the highway as well and hear the shuttle bus to Hershey and the freight train all day and half the night. The shuttle to the RV show was free and convenient, but there was no schedule. We can't understand how you need to wait 45 minutes for a 10 minute ride and all the driver does is make a loop. The shuttle to Hershey was much better and dropped you right at the entrance. We were only staying here for the RV show and Hershey park. I could not imagine actually "camping" here where you sit outside all day long and read a book or light a fire. If we return, we would stay in the section that does not have full hookup (Shady Rest) and enjoy having a little space between campers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If it weren't for the VERY narrow sites and the campfire rings close to your neighbors, I would rate this a 10. However, several times; we had smoke come in and it set off our C02 detector and things were just TOO cozy. Rate was very fair though and the CG clean and well taken care of. Showers and Toilets in nice condition. It's just those close sites and the fact that most of the "big rig" sites were a tad too short are keeping the CG from being a 10. This is the second campground I have ever been to, I was afraid I would be disappointed here. Not the case! The gal on the phone was so helpful when I told her that I had not been here before and that we needed shade since we do not have A/C. Site 10, where we camped was definitely not as cramped as the pull-through areas here. Our site was great: trees, on a corner, nice and roomy. The bath houses were clean, with great water pressure in the shower and hot water. Also, there were paper towels in the bathrooms, and the shower knobs are not auto-off, where you have to press it every 2 minutes: great shower! I did hear the train that others have mentioned. Since I had read about it here ahead of time (the gal on the phone when I made my reservation mentioned it as well) I brought a white noise machine. That train is loud but definitely not a deal-breaker for me. The pools here are nice: sparkling clean, with lifeguards. Everyone at this campground and at Hershey Park was super super nice and friendly. Smiles all around! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Full Service Loop Area, Some Positives: 1. The campground is extremely clean. 2. The Wi-Fi on the full service loop worked very well, and it was not necessary to be close to the store or camp host for good speeds. 3. Almost all sites are in the shade, and this worked really well during our summer stay. 4. Trash collection is at your site and is done many times during the day. 5. The store prices were reasonable, and we purchased all of our shirts and trinkets here at a greatly reduced rate. 6. Because you are staying on a Hershey property, you get a two hour trial visit for one night in the park with the purchase of your tickets. 7. The bus tram to and from the park is also included in your stay and runs regularly. 8. And, you get in early to the park because of staying on the company property. (Note: Make sure you get an extra slip for this from the store when you purchase your tickets. If you don't have this slip of paper, you will be turned away from early admission into the park.) A Few Negatives: 1. The sites are as tight as they come. 2. The fire rings are close to neighboring sites and the smoke as well as the conversations around the fire will creep into your camper. 3. Those trees that provide so much shade, covered everything with sap when we were there. If you just purchased your camper or are very picky about your paint job, this will be a real agitation. Most of this came off with a good shower on the way home though. This was the most expensive place that we stayed during a four week trip, but we have already planned on going back in the near future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It is a busy campground and gets very crowded on the weekends, but the convenience of the trolley to Hershey park was well worth it. The pools are clean and located right next to the store. This was our third stay at this campground and as always it was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Hershey. We had stayed in the Hilltop area for our past two trips, but decided to try the Shady Rest area this time. These are the best sites in the campground! We had site 135 which was next to the creek and backed up to the river. It was shady and we were so far back from the road that it was private as well. There seemed to be a lot of room between our site and the one next to us. There was a newer restroom/shower house in our section and it was kept clean during our entire stay even after a day of pouring rain which created a lot of muddy feet. The discounted tickets to Hersheypark along with the regular shuttle bus service can't be beat. You can still hear the train from this area, but we felt it was less noticeable to us in the Shady Rest area. We will definitely camp here again and request this same site. This is our second visit to Highmeadow and it was definitely better than the first. We stayed in the Woodland section - all pull throughs. We'd consider other parts of the campground only for the extra space. We could hear the train passing by but it was not obnoxious where we were at. Sites were clean, mostly level and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well-kept. Pool was also clean if a little over-chlorinated. The only time we found any displeasure with the campground was Friday and Saturday when the weekend crowd rolled in. It got pretty crowded. The major advantage to this place is in the free shuttle bus to Hersheypark. If you're going to Hershey this is a huge advantage just in saving the cost of parking. Staff was always helpful, pleasant and informative about local atractions. Prices in the campground store were comparable to surrounding stores. Overall, one of the best RV parks in which we've stayed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here over Father's Day weekend in 2009. We were in town for the Hershey Soccer Tournament and also went to Hershey Park. There were five of us camping (plus the dog) in a Flettwood Niagara. We used a pull thru site # 191. The campground was booked full that weekend, but we didn't feel as though we were crowded at all. The site was wooded and provided water, sewer, electric, and cable. Didn't use the cable, but all others worked well. Sites were clean and level and had pcinic table and fire ring. Reps at check-in and in the store were great. Very courteous and helpful. The campground is very nice, with creek/stream as well as a wide creek in the back for exploring. Was concerned about the working freight train, but either it didn't run too often or we were far enough away. It was not an issue at all. The restrooms/showers were very clean. Those by the pool were used very often during the day, so they may have been less clean than those located away from the pool (wet bathing suits running in and out will do that). Once the pool crowd left, those restrooms were brought up to those throughout the park. Kids voted it the best campground they have stayed at because of the exploring they could do and the stream. We had a great time and will definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

As others have stated, the spaces are a little close together. Our neighbors were hanging out at the campfire fairly late. They weren't being loud, but because they were so close, we could easily hear them. We have a 40' motorhome, and with 4 slideouts and the awning, we just got in between the trees. Maneuvering in the Woodland area is best done with the toad removed at the check-in area. In the first row of the Woodland area, many tow vehicles and toads were out in the road making it tough for a big rig to get through. The place was clean and the free shuttle to Hershey Park saves you $10/day. You get a $1 discount buying Hershey Park tickets at the campground. The pool and playground area are nice. It's a nice campground for going to Hershey Park, but not as much for spending the day at the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only reason I come back to this campground is for Hershey Park. I will only stay in the 200 sites (E,W,S backs up to field for kids to play) Our group had 5 sites and 1 cabin and there were over 35 of us.The family and friends is what made it a great time. However with this stay I was upset with the campers across from us. Stayed up till 3AM yelling screaming etc. We asked them to keep it down they were louder the next night. At check out we spoke to the manager and she said next time call on the phone and we will get someone to you. Another words sorry for your luck, so if any one has any problems remember the security phone is by front door of lodge. They do not have full time security, sad to say. Will I go back? The sites at this campground are small and pretty tight together. However, they are level and clean. No matter were you are in this CG, you will hear the freight train or highway noise. This was the bad point for us. We asked for a site not close to the train, but we hear that thing roaring through at all sorts of hours in the morning. Again, the sites were very very close together, but were level and clean. I did not care for the fire pit as it was U shaped pit with low sides. The bathrooms were clean, but very cold in the morning (I guess they are not heated). There were no activities for the kids, although it was early spring and not "prime time". The CG is right down the road from all the Hershey attractions, so this is a selling point. I would probably try and locate another CG close by if I went again. If not, then I would stay here. It was not a bad place, just packed on top of each other like sardines. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is always our last trip of the season. We come here every Thanksgiving weekend for Christmas at Hershey. Hershey Park is open and family has a great time! We stayed here again while going to Hershey Park's Christmas celebration over the Thanksgiving weekend. Due to the cold temperature, water was already cut off to the sites, but there was a fill station available in the campground. The sites in the Woodlands area of the Campground are pull-thru sites of varying lengths, but are narrow. Wi-Fi has great reception in the Woodlands area of the campground, though you do have to pay for it. I believe our rate was $8 for three days. The Camp Store has a great selection, and reasonable prices. The shuttle buses to Hershey Park ran every 15-30 minutes starting an hour before the Park opened for the day. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground was nice. Store was nice with lots of choices on numerous items. It was great being close to Hersheypark and the shuttle was free and ran every 15-20 minutes. Service was great, campground employees picked up trash at your site, 2-3 times a day. A few downfalls, the area we were in the camp sites were not level at all. Fire pits were way to close to the campers. We used the pit behind our motorhome. Thankfully no one was behind us. The train tracks are close, but to us it wasn't a real issue. This is our second visit in as many years. The campground has all the aspects of a five star RV resort. The location is the perfect reason for staying. There are many close sight seeing places to visit. Hershey Park. Indian Echo Caverns. Down Hershey has many local restaurants with delicious menus. Bass Pro Shops has a retail store with 30 minutes. Cabelas retail store is 45 minutes from the grounds. The campground is very well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. Two things visitors must know. There is an active railroad track nearby. You will hear trains all hours of the day. The newest section of the grounds is close to the highway, but the noise level is not bad. Hershey High Meadow is a great campground. My family and I have spent a lot of time camping here. We tent camped for two years and then bought a travel trailer. My favorite spot is shady rest. Unfortunately our 36' camper won't fit in the area but if you have a tent or a pop up you should be fine. Restrooms in this area are new and lovely, you are right by the river and close to the pool yet far enough away from the train (that does run all hours of the day and night) that it didn't bother us. Great kids activities (flashlight candy hunt, cool!), clean lifeguard supervised pools (kiddie pool too), great hot showers. I even did my laundry while here and it was conveniently located. The camp store has something for everyone. The only downers here for us were how close sites were (we were nervous about making a campfire) in the woodland area, and that 2 sites were having obvious black water issues (stunk!) and no one addressed it! There is also a freight train that runs alongside the campground 24 hours a day... Very new playgrounds. I would stay again if in the shady rest area. We loved this campground! Staff was extremely helpful and informative. Our site was ready early and check in was a breeze. After reading the reviews we were prepared for the active train line and chose a site that was on the other side of the campground. You could hear the train but we all slept great. The pools were busy but clean with lots of lifeguards. We used the shuttle bus to the park which was the way to go. The bathrooms were updated with nice new sinks, counters and tiled showers. They were always clean when we used them. We would of given it a 10 except the site we had was not very level and needed some stone instead of camping on grass/dirt. Overall this was a very good park. We camped here in the Woodland section which consists of all pull-through W/E/S/C sites. Many have written about the railroad that runs next to the campground, but it was never an issue for us. We barely heard it. Sites were gravel covered, plenty wide and mostly level. Pool looked clean and was not overcrowded. Restrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. All staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Check-in/check-out process was quick and efficient. Good access to Hersheypark including a shuttle bus that runs every half hour or so. My only complaint with this campground is that the camp store/grocery was small and cramped at the expense of a gift shop with wide aisles and general "Hershey" themed gifts. Our first trip here and we were very impressed. They have shuttle service that takes you from the campground to Hershey Park and we used this. It was nice because we were able to come back and eat our dinner and then return to the park for more fun. We stayed at site 181 which is the very first site as you enter the campground. I was a little leery about it because of it being right at the entrance and at the shuttle bus pick up. I have to say it wasn't so bad and noisy. I guess we were just so tired from our day at the park that we didn't pay much attention to the buses coming and going. The staff for the bus service were very friendly as was everyone at the campground. The lifeguards were very nice and chatty too. We will stay here again and I feel like we got our monies worth. Been here 3 year in a row. Great park, very convenient. Park offers half hour shuttle buses to front gate of park. Park has three pools. One for small children. Park is clean. Buy your tickets for Hershey Park at the campground and get a 3 hour free use of park/rides the night before. We arrived, ate dinner and headed to the park for the evening. Then got up and spent the next day there. Cheap tickets for park. Discounted at campground. Love this park and what they offer. We'll keep going back. Sites are good sized. All pull through out front. Out back the sites sit near a freight train. Stay away from that. Noise!! C/G has Wi-Fi which they give you free. I was able to pick it up at and inside my camper. I recommend this C/G. Nice inexpensive way to see Hershey. Kids had a blast. We went to park in morning, took shuttle home in afternoon for quick swim and lunch, then back at night to finish up. We stayed at site #212, which was a pull-through with full hook-ups. The site was level and in a nice location since it was a very short walk to both the camp store and shuttle stop. Also, we barely noticed the sound of the railroad since the site was a comfortable distance away from the track. The pull-through sites are very basic without a lot of room between campsites, but the campground’s location and shuttle service from and to Hershey Park far outweigh the limited size of the campsites. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we will definitely stay in this park for our next visit to Hershey. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding campground that is maintained to perfection. The lower full hook up sites are very close together and very tight. We stayed in the Hill Top area, site 78 and were very pleased. Large site with water, electric and cable. A bit uneven but with blocking we were able to get the motorhome level. Very spacious sites. There is a freight train that runs by quite frequently but we were far enough away that it didn't really bother us. I am sure that if you were right up against the fence the noise from the trains would be a problem. There are some very nice sites down by the river(again no sewer) that we will probably look into when we stay again and we will visit again. The free shuttle to Hershey Park runs frequently and is the way to go when visiting the park. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful and we would highly recommend this campground if you are visiting the area. The pool was not open yet but there are two very large pools that looked well maintained. Overall this a 9+ and it will be one of our regular destinations. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had a log cabin and an extended log cabin. For the few extra dollars, the extended log cabin is a better deal. The extended is newer and seemed cleaner. It had a separate room with 2 double beds and a bunk over each one sleeping 6 people. It also had a bunk bed in the front room with a big picnic table, 2 plastic chairs a big counter top area with a refrigerator and microwave. Front porch also had a full-size picnic table. The log cabin had a smaller refrigerator, microwave, small counter area and one double bed in that area and then a separate small room(no door) with two twin beds. That cabin could've been cleaner. Cobwebs and pine needles on the one bed. Dusty corners. The bathrooms were clean first thing in the morning, but by evening, they needed refreshed for sure. Grounds were well-kept and staff friendly. Shuttle service to Hershey by bus. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

My family went stayed here so we could go to the Hershey Park "Candylane" Christmas-time celebration. The section of the campground that we were in was pretty much full, and as has been mentioned in previous reviews, the sites are kind close in. Due to the night-time temperatures, water was turned off nightly, but the campground staff gave plenty of warning so everyone could top off their tanks. As for the activities at Hershey Park, it was awesome. Our kids are younger (4, 3, and 1), and most of the rides open during their Christmas-themed days are appropriate for that age group. We got reduced rate tickets from the campground office that saved us about 20%. The shuttle bus runs to Hershey Park about every half-hour, and was extremely reliable. The drivers were all courteous, and helped us stow our stroller. As others have mentioned, there is a train that runs nearby, but we could not hear it inside out motorhome. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

On the positive side: the park is close to all the action. On the negative side: the sites are small, even the pull-thrus were short. Could not fit a 36 foot MH with a toad, and not have the toad in the road. They claim to have WiFI access, there are three WiFi access points that showed up, when you try to access the internet. You are asked for a user name and password. But the office closed at 3:55PM and the HERSHEY RESORT I.T. guy did not know how to get access for me. They do have cable TV, which is good, since only one row in the pull thru area of the CG has a clear view of the SW sky. Very expensive for the services offered, We camped here in a Motorhome.

We liked the proximity of the park to all the attractions in the area. We thought the price was high for the tight spots, noise level, $5 daily WIFI fee, and since many amenities were closed for the season. The first night we got NO sleep with the loud freight trains ALL night long. An airport must be nearby because we also experienced some plane noise. We rushed through our tours so we could leave ASAP. The tight spots did pose a problem getting out. We had a heck of a time. We found it easier to back out of our pull-through. We did like the fact that the campground entitled us to play golf at the private Hershey Country Club. We would not stay here again because of the noise level. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites in the pull through area which I believe was called the Woodlands where so tight that most fire rings are under your awning or your mirror where over the next sites pit. (NOT SAFE). The smoke was out of control. If you like peace and quiet this is not the place for you. Weekends here, even in the off season, are swamped with kids 4-5 per trailer.The good things are: they are close to the park and they run a shuttle bus to the park; in off season it only runs when the park itself is open. The sites up on the hill are very nice but that train is right on top of them. WiFi would of been great, but six bucks for the use, what next? HERSHEY SHOULD DO BETTER! Museum was great. We have stayed here several years now and if you are going to Hershey Park multiple days you can't beat it. The frequent shuttle bus brings you to the park and back from opening till well past closing. We usually try to get a site in the Shady rest area as these are a little quieter and bigger. If you want to camp and go to Hershey-this is the place to stay. Hershey runs shuttles to the park. Campers (and hotel guests) are allowed into the park an hour earlier than the general public. This is a definite must due to the crowds. The campground itself has many shady sites (most sites have shade, except some of the tent sites). The full hook-up sites down by the main entrance are a bit close together, but the sites up on the hill are spacious. There is a nice pool and a well-stocked, but expensive camp store. The reason I gave this campground a 7-the bathrooms. They were average at best, and I would think that a huge corporation like Hershey would have nicer bathrooms (like Disney). The bathrooms could have been cleaned more often, been roomier, and more up-to-date. A side note-this was a noisy campground-people (at least when we were there) stayed up late and partied. Didn't see how people could go to the park, come back and swim, and still stay up all night drinking, but a lot of them did. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed three nights and if it wasn't for the site I was on, I would of given it a 5 for an overall rating. We were in the pull through sites last row by field (200 section). The sites are close together. I expected so much more from Hershey. The bathrooms were a mess and this was at 8:30am. I must say I did not use them the rest of trip (mens room). The campground is not that pretty and the rivers are dried up no fishing (FYI) If you have a big rig good luck with the turns it is tight. To the good. This campground is beautiful they really take pride and making this campground look nice. The amenities are in the above average class the pools were nice and the locations is great. The only thing that is bad is the Train I cant tell you enough how loud this Train really is. They will warn you that they do not give refunds because of the train and you will find out your first night why they have to say that. We stayed about as far away from the train as you can get and with ear plugs you can still hear the sound like it is in the tent with you. I believe it runs every 1/2 hour and it will drive you nuts but if you can get past that they campground itself is one I would stay at again. We camped here in a Tent.

We found the sites were on top of each other and people around us were very loud. Quiet hours were not enforced, we dealt with loud unruly families until about 1:30am! The freight train was not loud at all, we really didn't hear it much. I think the only nice thing about the campground was the shuttle service but for $42 a night that wasn't much worth it either. I loved this place. We got there on Tuesday and I believe we were one of 9 campers, beautiful and quiet. Between Thursday and Friday I would say about 250 more groups showed up... they were ready and it seemed to go very smooth... great camp store, all the basics and then some, they have lots of Hershey gift items also. We had our 2 dogs with, and they had a blast, lots of area to go for walks and allow them to stretch their legs. Wish pool was open all the hotels had their pools open and it was in the 80's but they don't open it till Memorial Day. Need things to do they will help you find things to do and places to go. Nice campground. Sites are nice and everything was clean and well maintained. We were there in early May, so the pool was not open yet, but it looked nice too. The camp store has a good selection of the usual stuff, plus Hershey merchandise. There is a free shuttle bus which runs between the campground and Hershey Park every 1/2 hour which is very nice! Drops you off right at the park entrance. The only negative is that there is a train track adjacent to the campground, where freight trains run frequently. (even through the night!) Nice campground. We have camped here for years. Be careful if you are a big rig because there is a limited amount of sites that can accommodate big rigs. Pull through sites 211-237 are the only sites I would recommend for big rigs; there are other sites that can accommodate big rigs without much problem. Those sites can be a bit tight if booked, but we managed fine with our 37' quad slide fifth wheel. The weather was very cold, so water had to be turned off at night. Comcast Cable TV worked pretty well with 68 Channels. It was nice to have The Weather Channel to keep us updated on the Winter Storm Watch. The pools look decent. There is a game room. There is plenty to do in the Hershey area no matter what season. The park has a free shuttle to Hershey park and Chocolate World that leaves frequently. This saves a lot of money on parking. We are returning next summer in August. The campground is pretty reasonable considering you're in a resort area. I would reccomend this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Definitely one of the cleanest and sweetest places to stay. The bus transportation is the best so commuting back and forth to the park is not bad. This park would be great if you have kids and just want a place to stay while you visit Hershey Park. The sites are small and almost all areas of this park are noisy. I have never seen so many dogs in a campground. We were in the pull through area which is right by a busy street, so we had road noise. The other end of the park has the train tracks. The only really attractive area where the sites are a little bigger, is the tenting area down by the stream. I felt like we were camping in a gravel parking lot. We camped here in early April and it was cold! A cold snap had blown in earlier in the week and we had to rearrange our plans. We called this park to see if we could get a spot last minute and they were great! They got us checked in and filled with water (they had the water turned off due to freeze warnings, did I mention it was cold?) and on our site in great fashion. They have a wonderful little camp store where we were able to find everything we needed that we had forgotten to pack. We were surprised to find the park so full with the cold weather, but we were also surprised to find that even though they were pretty full-the showers were immaculate. Usually the more people are in a park the less clean the restrooms and showers end up. My wife used the laundry facility and found it be nice and well kept. I would highly recommend this park to anyone in the Hershey area. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our families first camping trip in our 2002 Fleetwood Bounder 36S which we just purchased several weeks ago. Not knowing what to expect at a campsite, we were pleasantly surprised by what this campground offered. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds itself were well maintained and everything was clean. Security personnel were visible which was a plus. Many employees were out and about tending to the grounds. Location is perfect in regards to Hershey park. Shuttle buses were on time and drivers courteous. An overall A+ for our first outing. We plan on returning at least once a year. Great job!! This park was well maintained and I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. There are 3 swimming pools including a kiddie pool and all were well maintained and clean with lifeguards on duty. Great location and close to all the activities in the area. Cable tv worked very well but the wireless internet was a 5 out of 10. I had to pay for the service and about half of the time it worked extremely slow or not at all. The other negative was the train track. If you are close you will wake up multiple times during the night as the track is heavily used. That said, the staff thoroughly explained the situation when I made the reservation. This campground is not bad if you have kids. A lot for them to do. Hershey park is right down the road and a shuttle bus will take you right to the park gate. The Staff is very friendly and the grounds were very clean. They have a garbage pick up every morning at your site. We just had to bag it up and place it at the edge of the road in front of your site. The bad thing was the railroad tracks at the one end of the campground that has a train go through every 4 or so hours(the staff at the desk warns you about when you check in). We checked in at the 3:00pm time, and found a long line with only 2 desk clerks. No quick way to register, even though we had paid in full prior to arrival. We camped in the Woodlands section, sites are small and cramped. Our modest size travel trailer with slide filled the site, we had to park the truck across the side of the site and had to tuck the mirrors in to prevent any possible problems. Our neighbor's slide felt like it was IN our site (about 4 feet from the end of our awning). There are leafy trees, but no shrubs to block next site. Campfire pit was close to next trailer and the parked trucks so there was no pleasant farm/meadow/wooded view in the woodlands section. Would NOT stay in this section again, if we chose to return. This is one of our favorites! Although on the expensive side, we go here once a year when visiting Hershey Park. Although busy, the staff is efficient in getting campers checked in and out. The bathrooms were much cleaner this time around and as that was our only complaint last year, we were happy to see the change. The train noise is still loud if you are right by the tracks. We thought Hershey Highmeadow Campground was a great place to camp with kids! We had a site in the Hilltop area that was away from the train tracks and we weren't really bothered much by the train noise. The noise was more noticeable to us during the day, but at night we were so tired from going to park that we probably slept right through it. If you are a light sleeper, or want a quiet campsite, I would definitely request a site away from the train tracks because the noise is obviously much louder the closer you are to the tracks. The only complaint that we had was that the restrooms and showers in the Hilltop area could have been cleaned more often and more thoroughly. We used the showers that are next to the offices one day and they were much cleaner than the ones closest to our campsite, so we used those ones for the rest of our stay. Also, if you want to avoid a wait for the showers, you should either shower early in the morning or in the late afternoon. The worst times seemed to be right before the park opened and right after the park closed. At these times there was always a line of 5-10 people waiting, especially for the women's showers. We enjoyed everything else about the campground. The playground equipment near our site was great entertainment for our kids. We used the pools several times and found them to be clean and we never had problems getting chairs by the pool like we have at other campgrounds. The discounts on the park tickets are great and we figure that what we saved on admission almost paid for our campsite for those days. We have already planned another trip for June 2006 and requested our same campsite! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a nice, well-maintained campground. The shuttle bus service is extremely convenient to Hershey Park. We used the service all throughout our visit. We had a great site at the end of a row, so that we could have space for our two dogs. We did not have time to use the pools, but they looked clean, but crowded. I'm surprised that the trains are acceptable to so many people! I thought they were really loud, even though we managed to get a site that was not too close. We also had to request a site change, because the first site they gave us was a joke. It didn't even have a place to park. We finally got set up in a decent site, but we really had to fight to get it. We also found the bathrooms to be dirty and the staff to be unhelpful. We love Hershey Park, but we won't camp here again. We would rather drive the couple of hours home than torture ourselves at Highmeadow. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Roads and sites easily accommodate a large vehicle and camper (our camper is 40' long). They have a shuttle bus to Hershey Park which ran every half hour and by staying at this campground, we were able to enter the park 1 hour before the public! We didn't think the trains were as much a nuisance as stated above. We have already scheduled 2 other trips here this year! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place was great. The pull thru sites are the best. There are many other great sites in the campgroung that are just as good. Well maintained and very clean. The shuttle was fantastic, it picked you up and dropped you back off for free (can't beat that). Yea there is a train that runs by the back part of the campground but it's not as bad as it sounds. It did't bother us at all. We cant wait to go back! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

The warnings about the railroad tracks cannot be overstated! The sites closest to the tracks are separated by only a hedge row. Less than 25 feet! Very active trains. The more level shady sites are near the tracks. The more sunny hilly sites are further from the tracks and closer to a very pretty pool. Tough choice! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

There is one reason to come to this campground: to go to the park. There is a pool and game room but other then that, there is nothing to do. The roads are so steep we don't even bother unloading the bikes. Besides we are so worn out from walking the park I don't need anything else to do. The shuttle is great! The train is the pits. The multiple warning the campground gives are no exageration: these trains run every 15 minutes 24/7! The train front sites in the rear of the campground are not that bad as the tracks are a train height below the RV. But the one's in the front of the campground are at RV-to-train wheel elevation. We had an engine break down 20' feet from our trailer at 3am. The diesel engine ran ALL night and every time the air brakes released I jumped out of bed. Nontheless I'll be back as I love this Park. Had no real problem with the staff the "kids" were cordial but in no rush to complete the registration. Bathrooms were fairly clean especially since there seemed to be a revolving door. Biggest complaint that I feel the campground has control over, is that the pad sites are very unlevel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground's biggest asset is location. It is very close to all the activities in the area and has shuttle service to Hershey Park. Reasonably clean and well run. I don't think it is as bad as some indiciate, but the sites are small and the place is expensive. It does get so crowded at times that the bath houses and pools get overwhelmed. If you are looking for a basecamp in the Hershey area, this is the place. If you are looking for back-to-nature camping, this is not the place. Ask for a site as far away from the train tracks as possible. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very busy park. Reservation was for a site by the office to avoid the trains. Site was on the side of a hill. No way could I level a 30' rig on that spot. Only site available was up on top of the hill (by the train tracks). Took it as I had no choice with three kids in tow. I didn't understand why they couldn't give me the level site right across from my original - it stood empty during our entire stay. Shuttle bus is convenient and the train didn't bother us all that much, but the staff here is a joke. Bunch of kids running the place that are not well trained in customer service. Would probably return based on the proximity to the park, but only for short stays. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Most of the sites, including ours, were very unlevel. Bathrooms and shower facilities were inadequate (45 minute wait for a shower in mid-week) and dirty. Staff was young, not terribly friendly or well-informed. Pool area looked nice but crowded. Location and shuttle buses are about all it's got going for it. Buses were a big plus, but they don't run on any schedule. When I asked about departure times, I was told "they run about every 30-45 minutes or so." We were right across the road from the infamous train tracks, but it really didn't bother us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground. It has small sights, but big enough to enjoy yourself. Friendly staff and well maintained sights and campground. It does have an active freight railroad line along one edge. I did not find this to be a problem, but it could be for some folks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a convenient place to stay if you are going to Hershey Park. The rental fee includes a free shuttle ride to the park. It has many facilities, such as swimming pools and a playground. A traintrack runs behind the camp several times a day and it is very loud. But in the camp's defense, they warned me when I made my reservations. I found the campground to be way too crowded for my taste, but that is just a personal preference. I would much rather stay in a small, friendly, family-oriented site. 300 sites is just way too much for me. We camped here in a camper.

Although this campground has "location" going for it if you are planning to spend time at Hershey Park. Location is against you as well. There are campsites so close to the railroad tracks you may as well be on the train. It is fenced off but you are literally within 25 feet of the tracks. The train runs all day and particularly at night making your camper shake. The trains run every 20 to 30 minutes and the legnths of the trains last about 10 to 15 minutes long. A real ear opener. They should close off those sites , they are hardly restfull. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Nice clean park. Cabins were good but no A/C which was a necessity when hot. Good selection of sites. Shuttle takes you to Hershey park. Gameroom and general store small. Large pool. The only drawback were the trains going by at night (campground next to tracks) very annoying. Closest campground to Hershey Park and outlet stores. We camped here in a camper.
