This is the second time that we have stayed in this state park. The first time was a number of years back when it was very busy. We liked the park then, although we had to leave early because of a state budget issue. Now off-season, we love this park. I think this may be the first, or almost the first, time a gave a park a 10 rating. The park is very easy to get to on very good roads. As noted, the staff is very friendly and efficient. Although our campground host might have been having a bit of an off day. The park is very well maintained with level sites. Although the paved part of the sites are a bit narrow. It is very quiet and wonderfully dark at night. We love that. I should point out that I am referring to the "modern" campground with electrical hook-ups and not the primitive sites on the other side of the lake. There are hiking trails and the park is great for bike riding. Of course in the summer there are all of the lake activities. If you are birders you will like the park as it is promoting its birding activities with on-site kiosks for e-bird. The park also has a nice new, small lodge that is very attractive. We were able to find a site with good satellite reception and our Verizon phone and Internet card worked well. We would definitely return to this park. It would be great to spend a week or so, or even longer, at this wonderful state park. Well done Pennsylvania! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was very scenic. The sites were open, spacious and grassy with a few trees scattered about. The views from the sites were beautiful with meadows and rolling hills as a backdrop. They had a lake for fishing, hiking trails and paved roads for bike riding. I did see two sites that were wooded and private if you enjoy total privacy. We enjoyed this campground because it was quiet and peaceful. The campground was clean and well taken care of. We camped here in a Motorhome.
