This is a large campground right on Lake Erie but there are only 15 long, level, shaded pull-thru sites for overnight stays. We had originally planned this for just a one-night stop on our way to Ohio but it was such a nice campground, we decided to stay the extra day and explore Erie, PA. They do have seasonal sites for anyone that might want to make this area their "summer" home and the seasonal residents are friendlier than we've met elsewhere. There is a lot to see and do in this area...fishing in Lake Erie, the Maritime Museum (and lots of other sights) in Erie, and biking/hiking/picnicing/driving along Presque Isle. The campground hosts are very friendly and helpful; showers clean; roads wide; sites long, shaded and level; walking distance to the lake. We would definitely recommend this campground to others who want to spend a night to a week or longer in the Erie/Lake Erie area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The good thing about this place was we were backed up to Elk Creek and could watch fisherman fishing for steelhead. Then this place goes downhill and fast. The bathrooms both men and woman were not cleaned, smelled and the you had to turn on the lights after you walked in and locked the door. The "street lighting" was on all night and was right behind us. We were spaced on top of each other, too close to put up the awning, no picnic table, no fire ring. Would not recommend this place nor stay here again. Too expensive for what is offered. Clean it up, bring the price down and maybe. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
