No Verizon phone or Data in our site (#8). Nice owners. Good electricity. One channel over the air (NBC). Level site. WiFi being installed, but not here when we were. Convenient to local attractions (Shanksville, Johnstown, etc.). About 50 miles from Pittsburgh. Extra charge if you use the dump station on your way in. We stayed 6 days. Cash only for PA (but half the above price). We camped here in a Motorhome.
If we had been prepared to "camp" this would have been great - we weren't so didn't work out very well for us, no fault of the owners. This is an exceptionally beautiful spot with a pay lake for fishing. No real amenities at this time, other than ones you would expect from a camp. Very nice owners. We would stay here again if prepared for no connectivity and had groceries, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I agree with the previous reviewer. We had a site next to the creek, it was shaded and very quiet. The bathrooms still needed updated and painted, but were clean. There were places to walk the dog and a playground. The pay lake was nice. Lots of children were fishing. It was 4th of July weekend and they had lots of activities including fireworks over the lake. We would stay there again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The campground is very nice. Most of the sites are pretty big. Our site was wonderful, right next to the creek with shade. There's also a pay lake. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is the bathrooms need to be updated, but they were clean. The owners are still making improvements, they have owned it for approximately 4 years. We will definitely be going back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
