We love camping at state parks, but this campground was a disappointment. The road was rough and uneven, the gravel campsites were small, the bathhouse was old & dirty, and there was nothing for the kids to do. The hill was too steep and rough for bike riding, there was no flat area to play ball, and there was no playground. The hiking trail was covered in poison ivy. The only positive aspect was that we had electric and water hookup, and that park (other than the campground) was beautiful. There is a very large pool with water slides as well as a spray area for little kids. If you stay two nights at the campground, you get one-day free passes to the pool, which is normally $5.00 per person. The pool is clean, well-staffed, and has a concession area. There is a playground outside the pool area, as well as lots of picnic tables and grill. The pool is one-mile from the campground, though, so it is not something you can just walk to. Too bad the campground wasn't closer to the beautiful pool and lake, where you can rent boats and fish. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
