This is probably the best maintained state park campground in Pennsylvania I have stayed at. The sites were level and of a good size with lots of mature trees. They are centrally located around very clean bathhouses and very close to the lake. The camp store was one of the best stocked of any campground I have seen. The only downsides are that is it very popular and sometimes has a crowded feeling to it with lots of people on the road at all times. If you are camping with a pet you are relegated to one section of the campground, but that is how Pennsylvania state parks roll. The campground hosts/staff even came around to warn us of a severe thunderstorm warning since cell coverage is spotty at best. I would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A friend of ours recommended Prince Gallitzen as it is one of their favorite places to camp with their family. We have now camped here twice and it is definitely going to be a regular spot for us. It's clean, beautiful, and plenty of rustic fun. It's a very large campground, but the lots are fairly spacious. Like all state campgrounds, it's lacking full hookups, swimming pools, and other such amenities, but it's worth the trade-offs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet, family friendly campground, this is it. Campsites have plenty of room, restrooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The campground has daily activities and there is also a lake and boat rentals at the campground. The playground isn't much, just a few swings and a volleyball court, but our family loves this campground. We stay here a few times a year. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
