The Pittsburgh area has very few CGs around, and this is one of the better ones we have used. The CG is overwhelmingly permanents, and the transient section is separate (about 20 sites). The sites were 100% grass, which is great when the weather cooperates. Our site, and many others had very deep depressions where the camper sits. It is basically a hole, I suppose from years of camping, without any attempt to fill and level the site. If you had a lot of rain, you would be sitting over top of a giant puddle under your unit. The hole was so deep that our bottom step nearly rested on the ground. But, we had good weather, and the abundant grassy areas made for great play areas and sites for pick up games for the kids. And when outside, the grass was soft under your feet, so going barefoot was very comfortable. The road into the CG and to the site had numerous and very tall speed bumps. Use care, as there are numerous indications of hitches, etc. hitting them. There is a very tight turn at the top of the hill, and having forgotten to take off my sway bars, one popped out and I drug it for several yards without realizing it. Not necessarily the CGs fault: just a warning. The office staff was courteous, but not overly friendly. The site shares an electrical post with the adjoining site, and the folks there had taken the only 30A outlet. The office supplied me with an adapter pigtail, no questions asked. Laundry and bath houses are all in the permanent section, which has a coded gate. You have to drive there if you have a load of laundry as it is too hilly and far away to walk. If no one is in the office, you are out of luck getting through the gate. Grounds were well tended, and pool looked clean. Definitely an older CG, but it seemed to be adequately cared for. We would use this CG again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Paved roads, but watch out for the speed bumps, especially the last one. Grass sites, somewhat level with ruts. Wet weather can cause problems. More level sites are 30A. Staff leads you to your site, which is a plus, and helps you center your RV. Satellite reception is OK, but many of the trees are very large, so future reception may be a problem. Most of the campground houses permanent units, although they are separate from the transient sites. Fairly well-maintained. A somewhat typical seasonal campground near a major city. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 11 days. Most of the sites are for permanent residents, many of whom appear to use the campground as a weekend getaway. The campground is very well maintained. The short term RV sites are in a different area than the more permanent sites. The sites are relatively level but mostly grass. We had a pull through site long enough for our pickup plus 38’ 5th wheel. Cable TV is provided but ours was full of static. The playground was great for our toddler. Laundry facilities more geared for permanent residents but usable. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
