We were looking for a campground where we could take our kids and dog for a nice relaxing 3 day weekend. What a great choice! The kids didn't want to leave. The splash pad was a hit. My husband appreciated the fishing. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and campfires with the family. Would highly recommend for other families. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This looks like it was a great family campground at one time. Now there are a lot of dirty , loud ,migrant gas well workers here who paid way too much attention to my teen aged daughters, so they just stayed at our site . Also they drive way too fast and are comming and going day and night . We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have camped there several times over the years. Unfortunately this year was a disaster! We had trouble even getting a weekend site! Apparently, they have let tons of gas workers occupy most of the sites, some all year long and most right near the children's playground? What??? There are ruts all over all the roads from their big trucks and the workers come in and out all night long. Most of the trucks are diesel and very loud. They all drive way too fast for little children that are nearby playing. It was hardly the quiet peaceful place we remember. We will not return, ever. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The location was nice, but you were nickel and dimed to death. It was 90+ degrees and the electric did not support the 30 amp service we were promised. We could not use the AC. TERRIBLE. We had to pay for Wi-Fi service...it was so slow you could not accomplish anything before the connection timed out. The young female staff in the store was very brash at best. I was offended by their responses on more than one occasion. Theft was uncontrollable. We will not make a return trip. Owners seemed uncaring of issues...we paid our fees up front. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent 2 nights here, but it was for the purpose of having a place to stay while doing some business nearby, so it wasn't really a camping trip. We did find time to take a walk around the facility, and found it to be very well kept. There are a lot of seasonal/permanent sites, and most of them are very well kept. The lake is beautiful. The roads and landscaping are well maintained. Staff was very friendly. The only downsides I can think of, are the lack of cell phone service (Verizon), the lousy road leading to the place, and they charge extra for Wi-Fi service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was our second trip and it is beautiful, lake is catch and release fishing, nice pool,3 playground areas nice little store with hand dipped ice cream and your basic needs, they also have a Bluegrass Festival in Sept. I can't say enough about how nice this campground is . The only down fall is its a long windy road on the way in.. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
