It is difficult to evaluate this campground. I will mention the negatives first. Coming from Hwy 8, the roads into the campground are quite narrow and gravel. Our GPS did not find the address, so we called for directions. We were here to ride the bike trail but had to drive about 5 miles to the state park for a trailhead. We were in a smaller motorhome luckily. We did not have AT&T nor Sprint cell service, and there was no wi-fi. A few vacant camping trailers at the back of the campground were somewhat unsightly. The owner was very helpful. Although first impressions were not at all good, we did find the park had a pool, play areas, petting zoo, and even a nice fenced dog run. There were many seasonal camper trailers, but they were neat. The sites were grass but mostly level. Other than the happy sounds of a few children playing, it was very quiet. The two mile hiking trail through the forest and around the campground was lovely and linked to the state park. At the end of our 2-night stay, we determined that the rustic flavor was intentional and not all bad. The Oil Valley Bike Trail was awesome. It was paved, level and remote with forest all around. It is surprising that the locals don't capitalize more on their trail to bring much needed funds into this area. We would like to ride the trail again and most likely would stay at the campground again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was well kept. We camped in the woods under the tree canopy. The facilities were clean and the staff was helpful. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

As detailed in the previous review, this is a OK campground but definitely NOT a 10. There are only 3 50amp sites that are never available. If you need sat friendly sites make sure you ask in advance. The interior roads are rough, dusty gravel. The sites are grass and dirt. The 30amp electrical is weak under any type of a load. The voltage would drop to 106 volts with just 1 A/C running. Water pressure was marginal, sewer OK. Site was relatively level but you will need blocks under the wheels or jacks to get things level. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
