Wow, wish I had read the reviews before staying here! We pulled in and it felt like something out of a horror movie; not a guest anywhere, and the owner/husband standing outside staring at us like, "Ma, we got guests. Hide the bodies!" Sorry, just had a very creepy feeling. We went into the office and had to give all the details I gave when I called to make the reservation. What was the purpose of the reservation in the first place? We asked if they honor Good Sam Club, and boy was that a mistake; she (the owner/wife) proceeded to give us a speech about how terrible the Good Sam Club is; she is not a very friendly person. The whole time this was going on, the husband was standing outside the screen door staring at us. Anyway, we got through all that and headed out the door only to be followed to the RV by the husband who told us that the water system was down and that they hoped to have it up and running within an hour or so. Hmmm, waited until payment was made before telling us that. We headed over to our site and started setting up. I happened to look up and saw a golf cart heading our way at top speed. She pulled up to our site and told us that she forgot to charge us the extra $6 for my 81 year old mother who was traveling with us. I wonder if they pulled out the metal detector to look for loose change after we left! They even charge extra to use the pool! On a positive note, it does look like they have cleaned the place up from what I have read in past postings. We only stayed the one night; arrived near the end of the day, and left early the next morning. We didn't have a chance to check out the facilities, but based on our initial experience, we will look elsewhere if we are in the area again. May change our minds if we hear of management changes. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was by far the worst campground we've ever stayed at. The website looks great, so we decided to visit and are sorry we did. Pros: Nice pool Cons: The owner is the only person working there, the office and the camp store were never open. The pool is nice BUT--it is padlocked, we had to call to be let in and it seemed like a major inconvenience to her. Once in--she locked the gate behind us! The only way out was a turnstile, and you can't get back in once you're out--unless you call her again--on your cell by the way, there wasn't a courtesy phone. All but one shower house was locked and even it wasn't clean. Campground is filled with old beat up, empty campers. Campground houses tractor trailers--parked next to the playground. One tractor trailer had a sign that said "poison" on it--I doubt there was actually anything in it, but it was a little creepy. Our pull through had a great view of the maintenance building, 3 dump trucks and the above mentioned trailers. We did ask to be moved, but were given only one other site to move to even though half the park was empty. We couldn't pull in to the other site because the genius next to it pulled in backwards and was using the sewer for the site she wanted us to use--so we stayed with the trucks. Owner was very testy with us on Sunday because we were rinsing our black tanks. She said that we couldn't do that, that there's only one well, and that she couldn't afford all that water. To their credit, it does look like they are trying to do some work on the place, and until Sunday morning, we were willing to try again in a few years, but with an attitude like this owner has, we will not be back. It's a shame--with some work, this campground could be a beautiful place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground in very wooded area. Easy in/out of pull-thru site with full hookups, including cable TV. Excellent price. Campground is about 2 miles from I-81 and makes a great overnight stop--away from the highway noise but easy to get to. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
