Initially we were put off by entrance looked old and unkempt. We drove past a fallen down house on way to office. We were the only ones there 3 days. Owner pleasant. He lives on property but not actually on camping area. First night i was frightened by the unknown and isolation but then felt safe. Grass level sites. Golf driving range attached. Has good potential but future looks gloomy. Park 1/2 mile away was almost full. Rate was Passport America during high season. I we would camp there again if returned to PEI. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is a real gem. Only park that accepts PA discount for July and August. Large pull through sites, all grass. Close enough to all attractions. Fire pits, pet friendly, laundromat and clean restrooms. WIFI was weak at sites but good at the office. Site slightly slanted but able to cope. Camped here in the first week of August and were the only people here. Better than W/M or boondocking. Would absolutely stay here again. Come on people,,,,great park for day adventures. Cons....no pool, weak WIFI. Pros....quiet, grass, large sites, driving range. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rustic location but very handy to many sites on the Island. 10 minutes to downtown Charlottetown. Very weak WiFi. You need to be at or near office to get and hold the signal. They just had it installed that day so it may have been fixed/upgraded since. Good location for short stay if looking for central quiet location. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is Passport America. This campground is very basic - we stayed here 3 nights mainly as it is very convenient to many of PEI's sites and the price is equal to a WalMart + 3 or 4 hours of generator use ;. We camped here in a Motorhome.
