A very well setup and maintained campground on a large sandbar across the harbor entry. All sites are level, well grass covered and quite large. There are 18 pull thru sites with 3-way 30 amp service and about 50 back-in sites with 30 amp service. The internet service is free and extremely fast. The condition of the beach probably varies from storm to storm. While we were there it had stone regions and sandy regions. There is no ocean view from most sites but the beach is all along one side of the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay here primarily as an interim location between Kouchibouguac and Forillon, and because it looked to have an attractive web site. This is primarily a “beach resort” for Quebec residents due to the warm water. 98% of the license plates were from Quebec. Sites are a little close but big rig friendly and easily accessible. Not a lot of English is spoken or appears in the signage in this section of Quebec but this was not a problem. Beubassin had a bilingual staff who were very helpful. The free internet speed and reliability was awesome. There wasn’t anything that didn’t download instantaneously. Stocking up on staples in downtown Bonaventure went well. They have an IGA that’s one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. Rte 132 has very ample bike shoulders and provides level rides right along the coast in either direction for 20 + miles. (More I’m sure but that’s as far as I went.) Over-all we enjoyed our three day stay there and would return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A good municipal campground that is fine for an overnighter or for an extended stay. Can be very crowded in high season. Good swimming beach with surprisingly warm water for this latitude. Fast and stable WiFi. Small store in campground and restaurant across the street. A little over 10 minutes walk to town with more restaurants and services. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
