This is a rustic (no services) campground along the James Bay Highway running from Matagami to Radisson. At km 48, follow the gravel logging road 10 km to the Waswanipi River. There are two back-in sites, suitable for small or medium-sized RVs; no big rigs. There are picnic tables, an outhouse and a boat launching ramp. This area is *very* remote; even in August, I was the only person there. The campsite is free, but the municipality suggests a $5/day donation to cover the maintenance costs.
