This is a really great little state park if you're not looking for a lot of frills. Ponds to fish in and hiking trails. This is an older state park but the restrooms are cleaner than larger parks we've visited. During Memorial Day weekend the rangers came by frequently and checked out the sites and restroom facilities. It's a quiet place off the beaten path. A good place to relax. We have stayed here a couple of times and will go back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This campground is off the beaten path but if you're looking for good camping it's worth it. I would not suggest pulling any kind of trailer over 36' as I think it says on South Carolina's Park Site. We had a great time. Peace and quiet, really clean bathrooms, ponds to fish in, hiking trails, and a picnic area around the ranger station. This is an older park and some of the sites are not graveled but if you're looking to do some camping and don't need a lot of extras I highly recommend it. We will go back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
We stayed one night at this very quiet, small, out of the way campground in March on our way to Florida. The bathhouse was dated but very clean. The campsites were far enough apart to enjoy and be somewhat private. The staff was professional, helpful and courteous. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is an older State Park with water and electric hookups. Some of the sites were not too level, but were quite spacious. Restrooms were older but very clean and well maintained. It is off the beaten trail and way back in the woods, so it a little hard to find. We enjoyed the trip into the park, and the ranger we talked with was very friendly and answered our questions about the area, etc. There were only 2 other campers in the park, but it was not the busy season. If you looking for a rustic quiet setting this is the place! We camped here in a Motorhome.
