Park Personnel were very nice and helpful. The security group was active and made the park feel extra safe. The park is alive with animals including alligators. They were not a problem but are visible around the park. The only problem we had was locating Short Stay. The entrance sign on route 52 heading North toward Mouck's corner was not labeled Short Stay Naval Recreation Park. Its a great park to stay in and we will be returning. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Military FamCamp on NSA Northwest Annex only a mile or so north of North Carolina. Dump and water available in central location. Secluded area, secluded sites, little used. This is a winner for those who can take advantage of it. The weekly rate is one day free. Exceptional security services (hourly drive thrus). Only problem was the suggestion of what do do if confronted by a bear. Very friendly MWR staff and real nice Navy Exchange and gas station. We camped here in a Motorhome.
