This was the nicest campground we have ever stayed at--asphalt sites with lots of space in between. We spent 2 weeks here and were only able to stay because of active duty family. The people were friendly and the sites were extremely well maintained. If you are able to stay at military campgrounds, this is excellent. Of course, what comes with any air force base is being near a flight path and noise when jets are practicing. Even though there was no Wi-Fi, the Verizon air card worked very well. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a campground restricted to those who are active duty or retired military. Since not everyone can use the campground, I would not normally put a review on this site. But for those that can, I feel it deserves a small spot light for it’s cleanliness, amenities, and superbly congenial and competent staff. Additionally, there isn’t much selection of nice campgrounds in the central part of South Carolina. All sites are back in, and some are of different size, but the staff is adept at matching your rig with one that fits it. The sites are concrete, level, and have a grill and picnic table. The clubhouse/office has a TV room and convenient connect for a high speed LAN line should you need Internet connections. Co-located in the same building is the recreation equipment rental facility. The laundry and bathrooms were spotless. The sites are a bit close together, but there is plenty of room for slides and awnings. We camped here in a Motorhome.
