The campground bathrooms are shared with a day use park and are sometimes very crowded. The sites are not very level and only three or four are on the water. The park is not very well maintained. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We arrived at about 2 PM and got our site. It was full hookup, but only 30 AMP which would be all right since it was to be just a 1 night stopover. The first thing I noticed was the receptacle was upside down. I plugged in my surge protector and it said 'reverse polarity'. So I checked the site next door and it was OK so we moved to that site. We got all hooked up and about 7 PM the AC shut off but I didn't think much about that. Then a minute later I looked at the refrigerator and it was running on gas. I went out and had a 'ground fault' error and Line 1 voltage was 134 and Line 2 voltage was 135. The surge protector shut down the electrcity just like it should. I unplugged it and told my wife we were leaving. Stay away from this place because the managers say everything is OK and just turn your plug over if the receptacle is upside down. That don't fly! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice stop, no noise, most hookups seemed to be on the wrong side. Several sites overlooking the river, and looked like a good place to fish too. The kids liked the playground and we would stop there again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a beautiful back-in site, right on the river front. Lots of shade trees made it a great place to be. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no trouble getting in or out with the motorhome. There are some parts of the campground that had trees that needed to be trimmed. The campground is on the river, and there is a swimming area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice riverside park with limited amenities. Very quiet and distant from any traffic. Attendants friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay in this park when we return to this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Convenient I-90 access. We stayed several days as mini-base camp: touring area in tow-car. Great tree sites, but we opted for tree-less (sites 61 - 64) for satellite TV reception. Popular weekend campground; multiple boat ramps accessing this magnificent river. Cleared out nicely during the week. Typical old river town: this older campground is surrounded by low-rent neighborhood. Felt out-of-place in new model RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great overnight stop on our way west. Close to I-90 and right on the Missouri River. Our pull thru spot was 50 feet from the river bank. Would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We really enjoyed this campground. The sites were well spaced, mostly shaded, some were lakeside. This campground had a very scenic view of the bluffs on the Missouri River! On the far end of the campgound is the city park with a nice sandy beach area for swimming, a nice playground, fishing and boat launch, and more nice views. There was also a bike trail/walking trail that went along the riverside and to the uptown which was only about 4 blocks away. I enjoyed this campground so much, I would go out of my way to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A "ten," except for the unpaved interior roads. Your camping fee gives you the use of the pool and spa in the hotel associated with the RV park. Wi-fi at the hotel was usable; it was not available at the campsites. On the other hand, the staff could not have been more accomodating. We put in here unexpectedly after a hitch failure while crossing the Missouri River. The camp people helped us find the town welding expert to do the repairs, and were willing to sign for a package containing replacement parts. Lovely river side scene. Caveat: on weekends, the place fills up with people using ATVs and personal watercraft. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed in this resort overnight on our way to the Black Hills for our fall 2007 SD vacation. The park is easy to find, and very quiet. The spots are level and large enough even for big rigs. Only negative for us was that we reserved over a month in advance, got a confirmation number, as well as a spot number, but when we arrived, we were put in a different "less prime" spot. Since we only overnighted, we did not push the issue, though. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice gravel site with some grass and lots of space. Site was very un-level front to back. We had a great view of the river. Very few shade trees in half the park. The other half of the park had paved roads/ sites and some trees and had waterfront sites. Good place to spend a few days. We did not use any of the other facilities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The setting was nice but keep in mind that only the seasonal sites get sewer hookups. The dump station is on a one way street, on the wrong side, so we couldn't dump. We might stay there again if we could get a site on the river front. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We arrived late, after the office had closed, due to RV trouble. We had called the office to let them know of our late arrival, and they told us which campsite to use. The site wasn't marked very well for spotting at night, but after one circle around, we got there. It was very buggy outside, lots of misquitos. We spent a good amount of time killing them inside the coach. The showers were clean enough, but not nearly as nice as others we used on the trip. We were thankful for them though after a day of travel with no A/C. It is a nice spot if you can get a site on the riverbank. The resort is a bit of a walk. It didn't appear that people do a very good job of cleaning up after their dogs as my husband ended up "stepping in it" in the dark while hooking up. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here on our way to the Black Hills area. The setting is spectacular. Our site sat on a bluff right on the Missouri River. The site was very large. The staff was wonderful. The grounds were very well kept. The campground is actually part of a resort that includes a hotel and marina. Campers can use the indoor pool at the hotel. The only downside was that fireworks were allowed (we were there the week before July 4) and, as luck would have it, our next-door neighbor shot off fireworks recklessly for hours. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground was a great stop over along the I-90 highway. We could easily pull into a pull-thru site and spend the night without having to unhook the fifth-wheel. The showers and restrooms were clean and impressive, it appears they might have been recently overhauled. We never saw anyone from the office staff as the office was never open; we were there during the week in the off-season. There are a lot of seasonal sites at this campground, I am not sure how many are open for transit camping. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Right off of Interstate 90, so some road noise. Some trees and gravel road. Appeared to be mostly permanent residents occupying most of the sites. If you just need a stopping place for the night, this is campground is OK if you can find an open spot on the far south side as far away from the interstate and noise as possible. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a (Public Corps) campground and is a very scenic and enjoyable camp. It has boat launching docks and also great bank fishing. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
