Previous review a little harsh. Not a bad little stop between Bismarck ND and Pierre SD. An open field just off the road north of town, with sign in front. Understaffed with pay box in building. Pull up, hook up and pay $20/nite, or $10/nite Passport America rate. Bathroom & Shower in steel barn building. A little dirty around the edges, but easily cleaned up to acceptable. Water & Electric OK. Dump station across field. Pretty quiet after dark when slight highway noise settled down. Adolescents nearby riding quads and shooting fireworks, since it was the 4th of July. All in all, not a bad stop for the price. No Wi-Fi. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It's hard to believe there are campgrounds with full hookups for $10 a night, but this one is not worth half that! Beware. We arrived after a tortuous trip over mud/sand/dirt construction throughout the main street of Herreid, to find a overgrown weed patch with faint traces of RV slots. We pulled in, slowed down to double check our eyes, and pulled out. Unfortunately, Herreid is a horrid little town right now, and this campground is representative of it. We won't slow down next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is ok for one night stops. It is a very plain park with no amenities. We stayed here in a fifth wheel using Passport America. There is easy access and large sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Right along highway and easy access, just on the north side of this little community. Honor system collection box in shower/rec. room. Long sites with all hookups, but not really well kept up. It will accommodate any size/length rig. Strictly a reasonable overnight stay. There is a stockyard a half mile from this park that you will smell only if the wind is in the right direction. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
