We aren't members of Escapees, but we decided that previous good ratings made this place sound good! And it was! Managers were super friendly and helpful. We were even lucky enough to be there for the weekly Saturday morning pancake breakfast. Only $3 for all the pancakes, sausage, coffee, and o.j. you can eat. Yum! We checked out the private hiking trails in the woods behind the park too. Gravel roads and sites weren't a problem. We liked the rural setting and proximity to Oak Ridge (great to visit!) and Norris Dam. The only reason we are giving a "7" instead of an "8" is because of the poor drainage on streets and our site after rainfalls every day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our third visit to the park in the past 12 months. We enjoy the people and the park is easy to get to. Our 30 amp pull-through site was easy to access and the cable TV was nice. The people are great the the rate is excellent. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Typical of Escapees campgrounds, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The 30amp gravel pull-thru sites are a bit closer together than we like, but the setting is nice with some shade trees. Tengo Wi-Fi Internet has been added this year, and the cost is reasonable given the low cost of the sites. There are three hiking trails available on the property with a map available in the office. A large fenced in, off-leash dog run area is available for four-legged guests, and a nice playground for the smaller two-legged guests. We stayed for a week and will stay again when we're in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Management was outstanding and I can not say enough about how friendly and helpful they are, but, with that said, I felt the park itself was unacceptable. Fortunately we stayed in the off season so it was nearly deserted. The 30 amp units are placed on a different side than 50 amps. Our 29' travel trailer barely fit onto the site. The rear was out in the road by about a foot and the front of the truck stuck out into the other road by a foot. If the place was busy, I would have had to unhook for the night and find a different spot to park my vehicle. The sites are very very ( did I say very?) narrow. Between each site there is maybe 6' of grass. If we had a neighbor with a slide out I don't see how we could have put out the awning. If this park was full it would be like sardines in a can. The 50amp side looked a bit better, longer sites, but not much wider. The pool, while closed during our stay had very little area around it. The chain link fence was only about 6' from the edge of the pool, so basically you are either in the water, or leaving. There would not be room for chairs or recliners around the pool. I would not stay here again just because I would be afraid I could not get my unit in or out if it was busy. Probably wonderful for small trailers with no slides. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice small campground near Knoxville, Tenn. The Escapees are very nice hosts, so we enjoy staying in their campgrounds. Nice little clubhouse,with potlucks, ice cream socials and social hour every evening. They have a small pool. As far as sites go they are just basic, nothing fancy. One side of the park is easier for larger rigs. Laundry room and bath houses are always neat and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first stay in an Escapees Park. We were really impressed with how friendly everyone was. Two of our neighbors spent an hour helping my husband set up our dish and reset the receiver. We were only here two days but we met a lot of very nice people. The campground is very clean. It is a lovely area, peaceful with pretty views. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an Escapee Park. We only stayed here one night, but were very pleased. The bathrooms & showers were very clean, and heated, which was great, as the temperature was around 16. The Staff were courteous and friendly, the park looked well maintained, and clean. This used to be a KOA, which is probably why the spaces were a little close, but, as it was the off season, it was not crowded at all. Would probably rate it higher if we were there longer, but if in the area again, We will certainly stay here again. We paid a slightly higher rate, as we had two extra people, and cable, but were pleased with the non-member rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's so good to be in an Escapees park again, like coming home to old friends, complete with HUGS. Well run and clean park with nice nature trails. We stayed on site 24. Never had any power issues as mentioned previously but was fairly cold while here, so no AC. Planned clubhouse events such as coffee socials, breakfasts/dinners, and daily social hour were great. We will return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an Escapee Park which is very clean and warm and friendly operators. Sites divided into 30 and 50 amp. The 30 amp sites are very close together and experienced low voltage during hot summer days. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an excellent park with a lot of friendly folks. This was the first escapees park we visited. We planned to say a week and will end up staying for 3 weeks. The electric issue seems to still be an issue on "some" sites. Mostly the pull-through sites. We were in a back-in site with 50 amps and never had a power issue. It appears the back-in sites are on a separate power line and meter, which may explain why we did not experience any problems. Other folks we talked to indicated that the pull-through site they were in they had to put some appliances on propane, due to experiencing low voltage. We definitely will return to this park in the future, but will use the back-in sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older park that is part of the Escapee's system. Everything was clean and management was friendly. Two compliants I had was their cable did not seem to work as advertised, and their electrical system could not handle running the air conditioner (it was very hot the 3 days I was there) and any other high demand appliance (water tank heater) at the same time. Laundry room was very clean also. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park in remodeling process. Believe it was previously a KOA, however, unlike many KOA's, this park seems to have mostly level lots. Price quoted is for Escapees members. Non-member rate was $15.00. Cable is $1.00 extra. Close to Knoxville, just off I-75 at exit 117. We camped here in a camper.

This park has the appearance of an older campground, narrow, dirt & gravel roads, pull throughs are short, in order not to unhook the toad, I had to pull ahead, off the front of the pad, which then took a lot of leveling, trees are nice, but actually too many, couldn't put the awning out because of a tree, but with all the shade, it was not a big deal. Cable worked good, Wi-Fi worked, but a little slow. It's actually not a bad place for the price, $17 on Passport America. We will use it again for a short stay if in the area again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We paid the Passport America rate. Pull-throughs with cement slabs, otherwise gravel. Interior roads were a bit rough. Cement slab was just barely long enough for us to lower our jacks. Hard to level and some sites hard to get into. Heated pool, little store, huge clean laundry with front loaders. Music at pool hot tub area around supper time. Nature walk…lots of trees. Full hook ups. 50 amp. Cable and Wi-Fi but sometimes Wi-Fi slows down. We used our air card. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Passport America park, stopped overnight returning to Ohio from Florida. Rather crowded, with many permanent residents. Shady and unlevel for the most part. Site was along the highway, so it was noisy during the night. Office has a store with groceries, produce, etc. Restroom & showers were fine. Would stop again if in the area! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Passport America rate. It is definitely not a scenic park, just rows of RVs pretty close together, a fair number were permanent. There is easy access from the Interstate and even though our site was close to the road it was quiet. A fair number of trees, but the overall feeling was of being very tight. There was not enough room to park our truck in our site, had to use a nearby vacant site and our neighbor had to move his TV for us to pull out. Laundry room was sparkling clean, large, and reasonably priced, one of the best we have seen. WiFI was good, cable was good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in the over flow and the owners will go out of their way to do anything to help. Just ask and they know everything about the area and where to go. If you want wine and dine this is not your place but if you need a stopping spot in this area this is it. We will return . We camped here in a Motorhome.

Quite frankly, I wasn't impressed. If you are looking for scenery or ambiance, go elsewhere. If you don't mind a quick stop at a convenient place that has its share of run down permanents, this will foot the bill. Although the sites had decent room between them, the overall feel of the park is that of overcrowding. A friendly staff - but they failed to take any action to stop 5 rude people who had set up a VERY loud sound system that was way beyond acceptable in volume. The park is right off the interstate and is convenient. Not horrible, but certainly not worthy of all the good reviews I've read here. I've seen gems and I've seen dumps. This park is somewhere in the middle. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park, but very tight to maneuver. My main complaint was that when we called for a pull through, they said no problem. When we got there, the site was long enough for a pull through, but due to the slope we had to unhook. On the plus side the park was clean and quiet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were directed here by a local RV dealer when our living room slide failed. The owner went out of his way to assist me find a repairman who would come to the campground and repair our 5th wheel. On top of that he gave us a great site at the Passport America rate of $12.50. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed this campground----found it in our Passport book--had planned going to the next exit to another campground but decided to check this one out. The people at this park truly are pleasant and go out of their way to help out. We had no reservation but the man squeezed us in in a site at the top of the hill outside---where we were serenaded by dump trucks going into the gravel pit and 18 wheelers going into the terminal---but found that to be OK. At 27.00 for the two nights it was different to say the least. We enjoyed the meal served up quite reasonable on one evening---and talking to the other people in the campground. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone----sorry about some of the other posts that found it hard to get into their campsites with their monster rigs and that they didn't like the permanents that were located in the back of the park---but remember, they are needed to insure that a campground stays solvent. The pool and facilities were really clean and really appreciated the management squeezing us in even though they had over-booked for the weekend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The campground was clean enough, but has seen better days as far as accommodating newer rigs that are longer and with multiple slides. We arrived in a 34' triple slide 5'er and had to make several tries getting into our site. (we have been RV'ing since 1976-not newcomers) The restrooms were clean and wi-fi was strong at our site. Only about 4-5 sites are "super-sites" that will accomodate a rig over 35'. Many trees make access to parking hazardous. Scars on the trees attest to the difficulty people have in parking and leaving their site. Parking at our site was very tight with the dually and the concrete pads on most sites were short and sharply sloped on the exit end. One motorhome when leveled had both front tires off the ground approximately 2". Trees need to be thinned to allow better access and many of the concrete pads need to be lengthened. A good number of permanent residents occupy sites throughout the park and many of the rigs are in marginal condition. Security did not seem to be a problem, however. Road conditions were rough with small berms formed across many of the roads to divert water in rainy conditions. We were advised to keep our speed down in the park so we wouldn't "rearrange our dishes" Noise from the freeway did not seem noticeable. The rate we paid was a Passport America rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice park to use as a base to explore the area. Tight, pull-through sites between the trees that require some work to get level. Bath house was clean and well maintained. A nice meal is offered every night at a reasonable price, and the staff is friendly and helpful. One night there was a group playing bluegrass music in the clubhouse! This park is not a destination, but still a nice place to stay for a few days. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of loud road noise and traffic pretty much all of the time. Spaces way too small and way too many trees. Difficult to get into spaces. Back half has several permanent, older campers that need repair. Staff is friendly. Nightly meal specials available. Have a very nice, new and clean laundry facility. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on our Passport America discount. Normal price is 30. We only stayed here for one night. This is an older campground with a friendly staff and lots of shade trees. The sites are not real big but do come with concrete pads. We stayed here with 40' rig and it was extremely agressive to get in and park. When we finally got level, the front wheels of the bus had to be off the ground. I liked this park, but if your rig is over 36 feet long I do not recommend it unless you are very experienced with tight spaces. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We agree with above posts except we found the big truck traffic, dust and diesel smell to be very bad when parked at back-in site near top of hill. We spoke to owners and they state that nearby gravel company is moving and within the next year a large amount of truck traffic and associated problems like noise, odor,et. will be greatly decreased. There still is a large trucking company nearby however so all the heavy traffic will not be stopped but greatly decreased. Also from Nov 1 to April 1 this park does not honor any memberships but their winter rates are only $12.50. The campground is very clean, has some tiered sites and lots of shade. Suggest requesting any site away from road and we will do this when we return. They are Coast to Coast as well as Passport America We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Not bad but the back of the campground is home to quite a few dilapidated campers of the permanent type. A good stopover but not really a place to stay for a long time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Originally a Jellystone Park. A very nice CG with easy access to I-75. Very friendly management who try hard to make the visit to their CG enjoyable. Only negative, and it isn't a big one, is that the road next to the CG is access to a large truck terminal. If you have small children you should try and get a site as far away from that road as possible. Excellent location for a base camp within an hour of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and two hours from Ashville, NC and Biltmore Estate and Cherokee, NC. Have camped here many times and plan to go back. We camped here in a camper.
