Firstly, this place has a VERY strange site policy - if you haven't already reserved a full hookup site site prior to arrival, then you cannot have a full hookup site - even though they are ALL empty !!! So, we stayed in a water/electric site and wondered why the CG would want to lose all that money. The CG host was the most miserable man we have found in our 10 months of full timing around the US and Canada. Although his wife seemed nice. The sites are long grass sites which will easily take a 45ft MH and tow vehicle. But I could see them getting boggy if really wet. The CG is an easy 20 minute drive to Graceland. There is FREE wifi available from at least 2 antennas provided by the agricenter. We would come again, but would reserve ahead for the full hookups. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has a lot more to offer than the typical camp ground. You are right on the grounds that offer all types of summer/fall activities. While the park itself is just a gravel lot with full hook ups,and pull thus sites. You are within walking distance to a good restaurant and many of the large pavilions. The highways in and around are excellent, and we saw security in the park often. If staying here, you are only minutes from the big town activates, and within 5 miles there are hundreds shops and other fine eating establishments. This is a place where rv rallies are held and was told they could handle over 800 rigs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for a base camp or if visiting a trade show there. Open fields with power poles with four to six drops each and water drops every other pole. Limited number with sewer connections. We used it as a base camp while visiting friends in Memphis. The operators encourage the use of double 30 amp to 50 amp adapter cables for large rigs and they are looking at upgrading at least a portion of the grounds to full 50 amp service. We enjoyed shopping at the Farmers markets next to the campgrounds. Nice folks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park has large sites, big rig friendly. Most are pull through. Not a lot of shade. Great spot to spend a night when passing through or in town for a few days. Staff very friendly. Catfish ponds on site, restaurant on site. Not a RV resort but an good safe place for a few days . We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The spots were narrow, the park was dirty, the management was grumpy. Oh, did I mention that we would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Two of the earlier reviews are actually for the other RV park that is behind the Heartbreak Hotel,next to Graceland. This one is 3/4 mile away, and the ONLY reason to stay here is that it's cheaper and has Passport America for one night. This park is a miserable dump, and a sorry excuse for RVing. The managers don't leave the office unless forced. The bathrooms were dirty, without toilet paper, and no light over the 2 showers. Tiny laundry room was worse, with dirt and water everywhere and an overflowing trash can. Sites are in a paved lot, not level, and mostly tight. Wifi seems to be available for a charge. Manager did not mention it, did not offer the bathroom key, nor any other info. No security efforts, of course. The walk to Graceland is okay if you are careful; don't do this at night. Avoid this place if you can. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have NO idea what these other people are talking about. This place is one step up from a dreary parking lot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$ We paid for 50 amp and did not receive it. NO AMENITIES NONE!!! Laundry room was dirty. Don't stay here rent a room if you must but don't stay here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Site was located in the most perfect location if you want to visit Graceland - literally a 5 minute walk to the ticket office. The earlier post about having to drive is nonsense and he must have stayed in a different site and reviewed this one as Graceland doesn't come any closer than this. The park is at the rear of Heartbreak Hotel - which we had a few drinks in the bar watching Elvis DVDs. The park WIFI did not work, but the hosts very kindly let me plug in my laptop in their office. The staff were very helpful, but the old guy spent more time moaning about his employers as to their procedures and was very vocal about his desires to leave, than the time he spent on serving clients. None the less, the facilities were very good, there is a great shop with Elvis souvenirs and the condition of the park is good. Would not suggest making a vacation there, but would strongly recommend staying there to see Graceland. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was adequate for an overnight stay to visit Graceland. It was a good place to park and use full hookups. I would not stay here more than one night. The staff was very friendly. I disagree with the earlier post that it's 100 yards from Graceland. It was far enough my wife, kids, and I decided to drive. If it was 100 yards, I would walk every time...I would guess a half mile or a little more to Graceland. I had no trouble with the WI-FI. Very good connection. There was a $5 extra charge to use it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you want to see Graceland, it don't get much easier than this. The park is about 100 yards away from Graceland, it's next to the parking lot of the Heartbreak hotel. Since the park is owned by the same folks that own the Heartbreak Hotel, you can use the hotel shuttle to get to Beale St. The park was clean and everything worked. The shade tree was small, but effective. Wished it had a fire pit, but no fires due to being inside Memphis City limits. If you stay here, we recommend calling Marlows Restaurant for dinner. The Restaurant has free shuttle service to this RV Park (A Pink Cadillac limo) and the BBQ ribs were absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beggars knocked on our RV asking for change at this park. (More on that later.) This was a very cramped park, and not the place for pets. There was plenty of space to walk our dogs, but we usually tie them out during the day while we are at camp. Even with them tied on a 6' leash, they could reach our neighbor's slideout. We didn't want them touching the neighbors, so we couldn't leave them out. It was very tight quarters and the site we were in was far from level. The park backed up to an apartment complex, and there was a lot of noise from the residents there. It was a bad area, but that is what you get if you want to be near Graceland. It was an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. Our first night, we got in and the manager actually drove around with my husband and let him choose a site, which was very nice. Still, the choices were not great. I think the KOA Circus Circus in Vegas had more space between sites than this place. Also the utilities were located awkwardly, which took up a lot of the space. We got up the next morning and walked to the attractions, which was nice. We came back to the camper. We were not able to cook out, because there was no where to stand or sit outside. Then after dinner, our two children were asleep when we heard a knock on the door. We assumed it was the park management or a campsite neighbor. Actually it was two female panhandlers asking for money. On our 6-week trip, we had never experienced anything like that. My husband told them no and we put one of our dogs outside to guard our site. The next morning we complained, and then moved on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older park, but the owners were super friendly and very accommodating. Another reviewer stated it was not in the best area of town, but neither is the competition (Memphis/Graceland RV Park & Campground). This one is maybe a block further down Elvis Presley Boulevard and for the price difference we paid ($31 vs $46) it's a buy. Good hookups and pull through sites are available. Very convenient to Graceland, shopping, restaurants, etc. We'd return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Tight spaced and not elegant but managers (Gary and Amy) are very helpful and accomodating. Very close to Graceland and shuttle comes to pick you up. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not situated in the best part of town, this park is close to Graceland. Most of the park is paved with full services. The park host was very helpful but did advise not to venture too far from the park after dark. The sites were a reasonable size. The washrooms were very dated but clean. Passport America is accepted here which made it bearable. I would not recommend the park for a family intending on staying for any length of time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

OK place. Friendly staff. Only negative comment is that it looks like several of the trailers are permanent and look a bit trashy, was expecting a bit "nicer" place. OK place for a short stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 5 days during the Dizzy Dean world series with a couple of other campers. Staff was friendly and helpful, sites were nice with gravel parking and narrow spaces, Pool and shower facilities were always clean and ready to go. We would definitely stay here again. Actually stayed here in July 2007 but that was note availible to select. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed one evening at this park. It is really connected to Graceland and one can walk from the RV park to Graceland. Very few trees in the park. The sites were large and easy to enter. We camped there in a fifth wheel. We did feel a little uneasy regarding the security of the area. It is an OK park for a day to two. We would stay there again if we were to visit Elvis's home again We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this campground one night to visit Graceland. Even though the sites were tight, you cannot beat the walk through to the Graceland parking lot. The park was clean and the staff friendly. Did not use any of the facilities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had level, gravel RV pads, and the utilities were in good shape and well positioned on the site. There was no cable TV but the reception on the Memphis TV stations was adequate for news, weather, cartoons etc. There was plenty of grass between the sites but there was absolutely no shade. The sites were a bit close, but still plenty of room. We had a pull through site and had no problems positioning our 33’ fifth wheel. The restrooms were clean but were not air conditioned. The pool was very nice and stayed open late during our stay in mid July. This park is perfect for visiting Graceland. Everything is walking distance. I had read before our trip that some folks were concerned about safety and security in the area. We stayed here 2 nights and felt a constant presence by the staff and had absolutely no concerns what-so-ever for our safety or security. I was perfectly comfortable in this park. The Rock N Roll cafe is located in front of the park (actually in front of Heartbreak Hotel) and we saw a great Elvis show and had a good meal. Kids were able to go in and we had a great time. The staff at the Rock N Roll cafe was awesome. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was barely adequate for an overnight stay. The site we got was a narrow back-in. The biggest surprise was the volley of six shots somewhere outside the RV in the middle of the night. Again we had a sewer problem - sewer plugged somewhere below our RV. Sewer in at our RV and out at the next outlet down. I didn't completely finish dumping tanks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park offers great access to Graceland. The park is clean and staff is friendly. Nice area to walk the dogs too. The shuttle takes you downtown and to Sun Records, so you really don't need a car to get around. We had the pink caddie pick us up for a great BBQ dinner, no charge! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely awful--false advertising--this is not a 8/9/8. I am in the process of sending pictures to Good Sams and owners, EPE Enterprises. I am demanding my money back. Crowded, filthy, grass not mowed, permanent campers are horrible, red wood fence is falling down, managers are rude, car next to us that had bullet holes in it. Do Not Stay there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Called ahead to reserve a site. Was able to reserve a site, but not able to "pick" which site we wanted. The friends we were traveling with has an asthmatic child, so we did not want to be on one of the gravel roads. Upon pleading, they said they would see what they could do. We arrived 8:00PM Friday night and office was closed. I had called earlier and they said they would leave directions to our sites. When we arrived, there were no directions. We were forced to grab two remaining sites in the back that were on a gravel road. Upon discussing with the manager the next morning, they moved us to two interior sites with full hookups. Campground was relatively clean, bathrooms clean, and the campground is centrally located in Memphis, but entrance is very hard to see even in the daylight. The Memphis airport is a couple miles away and the FedEx jets woke us up each morning at 4:30am. If the noise of the city does not bother you (sirens, cars, gun shots), you would enjoy this campground. It is right behind the Graceland ticket center, so that is very convenient. Got funny looks from neighbors when kids were playing in the street. Got the feeling kids were not welcome. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just an update for 2007. As all previous reviews state, it’s walking distance to all Elvis attractions. Excellent WIFI; more than enough TV stations on the amplified antenna; very helpful and knowledgeable staff; washrooms a bit dated but spotless. Bus stop right across the road for those who want to see the Beale St attractions, or you can catch the free shuttle from Heartbreak Hotel to Sun Studios. Rock & Soul Museum highly recommended, as is the Irish pub at Peabody Place, but overall the city looks just a bit depressed. Price quoted includes the Good Sam discount. A great place to stop for Elvis & downtown. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a few months. Very clean, well organized park. Great open/path area for dog walking. We really enjoyed this park and their great internet connection. One drawback was the city area surrounding the park was a rough section of town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is very overpriced. We paid close to $50/night for our medium sized family. The park is directly across the street from Graceland, which still doesn’t justify the price. The sites are gravel, mostly pull-thrus, and are spaced about 12 to 15 feet apart. There is a sign at every site “Do Not Park on Grass,” though you can’t really tell where the site ends and the grass begins. We did have some ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS during our stay. On the first night, our voltage went down to 109V. After that, the voltage seemed to hover between 114V and 118V. When running the air and microwave, the 30A breaker in the service box kept blowing, which has never been a problem before. We inquired at the office and were told that they had just spent a bunch of money upgrading the electrical. That didn’t explain why the 20A breaker in our box was broken. Anyway, the fellow came out and checked the voltage at the outlet and said the breaker must be OK. He obviously knew nothing about electricity. On a good note, the park does have a nice open field at the back for walking dogs and playing with the kids. The laundry is nice as well. Unless you really need a close place to Memphis, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, clean and you can easily walk to the Graceland / Elvis facilities. The WiFi worked very well and the speed was good most of the time. Nice folks checked us in and gave us all the info needed to have a great time in Memphis. Don't blink or you will miss the sign. You also need to know that Memphis is the home of FedEx and there are a gazillion jets leaving out of there around 4am every morning, so if they are taking off to the West, you will get an ear full. Under new management as of Oct.15,2005. Still no wifi but they're "fixin" to get it installed. Not the most scenic place, and a bit overpriced at $32, but for $16 with Passport America discount, definately worth a night to see Graceland and downtown Memphis. New owners are some of the most polite people I've ever met, so the park is in good hands. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is directly behind the Heart Break Hotel and is within a short walking distance to Graceland. The sign for the campground is fairly small and hard to see until you're right on top of it but the entrance is just before Graceland. The campground is clean and well kept even though its older. The staff was very helpful in planning our time to tour the sites in Memphis. They gave us some great ideas on how to get around for free using tour buses. The only thing I wish they had was Wi-Fi for the Internet. They do have a dedicated phone plug in the office for your computer but they limit the time to use it to only 15 minutes. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Close to Graceland. The entrance is the same driveway as the "Heartbreak Hotel", and the sign for the RV park is small and easy to overlook. While parked here for two days we saw almost every RV miss the driveway and have to turn around further down Elvis Presley Boulevard.The entrance also has a huge, RV-bottom-scraping bump. The sites are very small, requiring unhooking and sideways parking of a tow rig for our 36' 5th wheel. The signs at each site admonish, "no parking on the grass" but it's almost impossible not to do so on many sites. Sites are close together, and lacking in shade. There is a gate in the fence to walk to the Graceland tour entrance. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a old KOA park from the past. The site maps had KOA marked out. Sites are O.K. for couple days. Roads inside park are small. Low road noise. Could be a nice park if owners would spent the money on it. Place is up for sale now. Good place to see Memphis from, the BBQ is great and close by. We camped here in a camper.

Graceland is no longer a KOA campground. They have switched over to a Good Sam park. The campground was clean and well kept. Friendly staff. Close sites, but the park has alot of grass. We liked it, and will stay there when in the Memphis area. We camped here in a camper.

Nice park. Sites are fairly close together. Good friendly office personnel. Well groomed park. Clean bathhouse and restrooms. The convenience store is fairly well stocked with staples. Would not want to spend a week or so there, due to the closeness of the sites, but it's a great place to overnight, and especially if you want to visit the Elvis attractions. A gate opens between the campground and the Graceland attractions. Good easy on and off the interstate system. About ten minutes from downtown. Twenty-five miles from the casinos in Tunica. We camped here in a camper.

Restrooms received daily cleaning but were very busy. Starting to look tired. Shade trees are not mature. All in all it is a good campground. Next door to the Elvis attractions. We camped here in a camper.

I agree with the others that this is a nice little park. Perfect for the "vacationer" or people just passing through town. Water and electric sites only. Mostly shaded with tall trees. If you want to use your satellite system, get there early and get one of the few open to the southern sky sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful place to stay away from the commercial area of town. It is a quiet, clean and friendly camp. The hosts were wonderful, very helpful and caring,especially when tornado warnings were threatening. The sites are nicely treed offering some privacy. This park is a 10 minute drive from Graceland and under 30 minutes to downtown Memphis, making it a great spot to camp while touring the city. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This Campground is a hidden gem amidst the hustle and bustle of Memphis. It was all that we expect (or at least hope for) in a state park: huge sites, nicely treed, good access roads, clean facilities. The score wasn't downgraded for no sewer at site or no WiFi, as we don't expect those amenities in a state park. The campground host was very friendly and informative, as was the staff in the Visitor's Center. When driving in from I-55, you travel through an industrial area along Riverport Rd., but once you turn into the park grounds, the setting and atmosphere change dramatically for the better. The park is located about 6 miles from Graceland and 8 or so miles from Beale Street...very convenient for sightseeing. We stayed for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer...and that just about says it all! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice campground located in the midst of a state park that includes a golf course and some hiking trails. There are several long pull-thru sites for anyone that is just passing through but since it is so close to Memphis it is a very nice place to spend a few days. The water faucets are unlike anything that we have encountered in our 13 years on the road. There is a label on each of them describing how to operate them but even with that, often times the campers have to consult with the camp host to get them to work. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was slightly hit by a tornado. Damaged some trees, but did not cause a problem getting around the campground. This is a small campground. Restrooms were clean. Persons at reservation office were nice but not really friendly. Camp host was nice, friendly and efficient. Sites are pretty close to each other but no problem with extending slides. This is not my favorite campground but is good for a few days to run around Memphis. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
