Lots of potential BUT some major problems. One shower out of three, (the other two were locked), in the ladies room worked, no hot water at basins, and no lights except in shower. Working shower was dirty. Owner did not seem to be concerned when above reported. Pool was murky-blamed on recent rain. Cash only. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I am amazed at the ratings others gave this place. I was severely disappointed. We stayed here in part because of the location and in part because of the ratings. Apparently, there is another new owner. The place was rundown, needed maintenance. The "store" had virtually nothing. Cash only, no credit cards accepted. The water faucet had a hole in the tap so bad that I filled our tanks and shut off the faucet to keep from having a swamp. Owner said he'd turn on the hot water for the showers in the morning (He turned them off at night because of a major leak) but we had no hot water and used our shower instead. Some road noise but that was nothing compared to the very loud trains that passed by that woke us up every few hours. I would not stay her again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I stayed at this park over the Memorial Day weekend. One of the best rv parks in Tennessee and northern Alabama. All the sites are shaded and have long pull throughs. The grounds were clean and a large number of families were camping. I felt safe and the new Manager John Keenan was great. I saw him visiting all the sights and was out on the grounds in the late evening. The restrooms were very clean and the pool was sparkling clean. The grass cut and trimmmed and the whole area was just eye appealing. I highly reccommend this park to anyone young or old. Five stars in my book. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had stayed here back in 2004 and were pretty happy then. I understand there is a new owner and he is attempting to really fix the place up. The sites were level, they had everything we needed including wifi which was pretty fast. There were not too many staying at the park when we were there; wifi may slow down when the park is full? He is installing new lighting and signage at each site. The lighting is a bit bright; I would use 25 watt bulbs, all you need to do is light up the sign at each site. My wife raved about the washrooms, they looked adequate to me. She thought they were nicer than the ones at Topsail Hill in Florida. They were certainly clean. This is a great overnight spot along I65, nicely located as a halfway point between Illinois and Florida. You could even spend a day and go to the Jack Daniels distillery if you wanted. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have been visiting this park for many years and have seen the park change ownership several times during this period. I must agree with some of the previous remarks and comments about the run down conditions and bad attitudes that visitors may have experienced in the past. I am delighted to say that the park now has a new owner and much to my surprise there have been many upgrades and improvements since our last visit in July of 2005!! The park is clean and properly maintained, the lawns were all mowed, sites were clean and level, the staff is all very friendly and eager to make certain our visit was pleasant and enjoyable. I'm sure in due time this park will become one of the nicer and more popular overnight or weekend parks along the I-65 corridor in Tennessee. If you have visited this park during it's darker days you may want to visit again and see what improvements have taken place and the improvements to come. The new owner is a young man from New Hampshire and he has a lot of great plans for the park. We are certainly going to be stopping here whenever travelling I-65. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place looks good until you walk in the office! It is a former KOA and is in a state of neglect and disrepair! The pool, playground areas and hookups are falling apart. The office is a total mess and stinks to high heaven! No regular hours that we could figure out. Strangely, the men's restroom was clean and the laundry room was ok, but the women's restroom was absolutely filthy! All the trash cans were full and running over, branches and yard debris were everywhere. Only two things good about the place--it's close to the freeway (70 miles south of Nashville) and there are several nice attractions in the area. We were there one night, so the freeway and train noise weren't a problem for us. Don't think we'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place is more than a "cornfield with hookups" but just barely. It does have some nice trees and good shade but the place is a mess and is very much in need of maintenance. The nearest trash can to our site was all the way across the campground and it had not been emptied in days. When we hooked up we found the 50 amp was not working so we had to use 30 amp but I had to tape the receptacle so our plug didn't fall out, the sewer was little more than a hole in the ground with a very ancient, and broken, pvc connection, no cable because the cable to our site had been cut, and there was no wi-fi from our site. As for the owner being a nice guy I wouldn't know. Never saw him. When we stopped at about 3:30 PM there was a note on the door saying "Be back at 4:30 PM, pick a site and we'll see you later". After two fruitless trips to the office(last time was almost 6 PM) I just filled out a night registration slip, with my cell number on it, and put $24.00 in the envelope. Finally at about 7 PM we got a call "to verify we were on site 24", I confirmed we were and the voice said "thank you, have a nice nite". The next morning, as we were leaving, I stopped at the office to tell them about the problems at our site but, you guessed it, nobody there and nobody at the house. We make a trip past this place at least four times a year and we will never stop there again because the owners obviously have no desire and no idea of how to run an RV park. The place has excellent potential in the hands of an owner who cares. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in this campground many, many times and we are pleased to say that it is in the best condition i have ever seen it. It is under new management and the place has never looked better. There is new staff including the young lady in the front office who was very helpful and friendly. Their bathrooms are clean and everything has really turned around. We almost didn't stay here again due to our previous stay but we gave it one more chance and we are glad we did. We rate this place a 10 and will be going there again and again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Stopped for an overnight stay and found the wi-fi to work so well stayed for 2 extra days. The owner was very helpful with a friends broken motor home. Gave them free night and helped to get it running and off to the repair shop. The are very particular about who they let camp even for only one night. Restrooms were very nice, owner just completed replacing faucets damaged by campers. (While there the owner had to throw someone out for sneeking in extra campers, swiping things etc. Hard to beleive folks like that. Sarges Shack next door and Sands restaurant across the street made the stay pleasant. Will recommend mostly for overnight or few days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I really don't think this should be classified as a campground. It was more like a corn field with electric and sewer. It has only 2 things going for it. 1. Easy access from I-65 2. Sarge's Shack resturant. It is within walking distance from the corn field. The pool was caving in. The restrooms were VERY unkept. The check-in area smelled like propane gas so bad I was concerned that it could blow up at any minute. We would not go here again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
We were there in early spring and the campground needed the lawns mowed badily. The tables were also very old and needed replacing. The owner is very helpful and is trying hard to make this a nice facility. It is, however, an overnight stop facility. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Stayed here on the way through and found it to be a great overnight spot. Easy access to
interstate 65 with minimum road sounds. Park is well laid out, our site was pull through and level. Pool was great, restrooms / shower clean and roomy. Friday night they had Karaoke which was a blast. Flower pots on picnic tables are nice touch. Will return when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for one night upon returning from Florida. The host was most congenial. The
sites were spacious and graveled, and there was no flooding though it rained heavily that evening. The restrooms were clean and nicely decorated, and we appreciated the showers with private changing rooms. Restaurants were adjacent to the campground. This is a former KOA campground, and the new owners are really making good improvements to it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
