We have stayed at this campground several times and keep coming back because it is a great location, it is very well maintained, and it has good pull through sites. The premium sites have concrete pads. We stayed on the perimeter with a view of a meadow and the mountains out our front motor home windows. It is lovely. The landscaping is very attractive, too. The campground is gated with a security code. The staff are very efficient and helpful. There are shorter sites that back up to the Little River, and there is a two lane, blacktop country road in-between the campground and the river. We find it helpful to disconnect the tow vehicle before heading to the camp site because there is a tight turn right after the gate, and larger rigs may have to back up once or twice to negotiate that turn. Exiting is easier. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I had a beautiful site along Little River. There's a public road between the river and the sites, but it's not a big deal. Not much traffic. There's seating beside the river provided by the campground. The campground has beautiful landscaping, and the concrete pads and like-new picnic tables are great. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park was by far the nicest private campground I've traveled to. Without question I would recommend this place to any traveler!! I typically stay in rustic state parks where there is huge space between neighbors, but basics are scarce. This past week, I participated in a group that had booked Big Meadow. Prior to my trip in planning and looking at the park map, my first thought was "oh my gosh - it's a Walmart parking lot". Upon arrival, it's anything BUT that. Reservations: A+ They there very informative on my questions and needs (I have two dogs). They recommended a site adjacent to the river. In fact a week or so prior to traveling, they called back and said there was a cancellation and asked if I wanted to move closer to my group. Very customer focused!! Campground layout: A+ There must have been a landscape engineer design the layout. Even though the density of sites is high, there was a good mix of open spaces and buildings. Also, most of sites have HUGE concrete pads. It made leveling, parking, keeping things clean inside a non event!! Facilities: A+ Clean - especially bathrooms and common areas. Dog poop bags strategically placed, very nice group meeting space, cool fire pit. I didn't use Wi-Fi however, most around me seemed to have no issues. Summary - This is a must stay - it's not highly commercial (the campground NOR Townsend TN)- these people have put their heart and soul to provide a fun relaxing vacation experience for their clients and it shows. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The town of Towsend is very close to the National Park and Cades Cove which was our primary target to see at the Smokey Mountains. Being able to walk down to the Little River was nice to see. As with most private campgrounds you are limited on space, with about 10 feet between rigs. There are several "residents" staying in the park and some rigs being stored. The remainder of the facilities were functional but dated. I am not really picky about these things. However my biggest complaint was the lack of value for the park. The up front rate of $38/night was reasonable enough, but the additional fee of $5.33/per child/per day was not reasonable. Having three children over 6yrs old I was charged $16/per day. Having paid that price, $54/night, I would have gone a different park and gotten better facilities and received a better value. No discounts at all were offered/available (October-peak season ). I had stayed here before and this is why I returned but will not do so in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are frequent campers at Lazy Daze. The bath house is very clean and the pool sparkles. The campground itself is a very old but nice and shady. Over the many times we have stayed there, we have watched this past summer the crew that they have work very hard to improve a lot of things here. The office crew is very friendly and are as helpful as they can be. Any problems that occur they seem to jump right in and work together to get them solved. This summer we have had a lot of rain/storms which caused a lot of back up on the work of the crew that work for them but they keep trying to get things back in order. Keep up the good work and working together as a team. Thumbs up to all of you and will be seeing you all again in September. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Lazy Daze several times before. The campground has several scenic sites right on the river. Each river site has a covered deck, but the decks are in bad need of repair--deck covers are loose & leaning, decks need to be replaced. The bath house was not as clean as it was during our previous visits and toilet paper was not replenished often enough. Also, mildew needs to be cleaned from shower walls. It's still an okay campground but we probably will not stay here next time. There are other campgrounds nearby that are better maintained. Too bad because Lazy Daze is in a great location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a wonderful, small, family park. It is very clean and well maintained. Cannot comment on the pool, as it was still closed in mid-April. Restrooms had a keypad on the doors so you had to enter a code to get in which provided extra security, and although a little older, the restrooms were spotless. They do have sites available on the river which were really nice, but they would not accommodate a big rig. That didn't really matter though as the campground is so small it's nothing to walk the very short path to the river, and we could hear it from our site anyway. The only negative I could find with the entire campground was the fact that the sites were somewhat tight. Sites on the outer ring had trees to navigate when you backed in, and you best beware of your slide-outs when you select your site. Also, the placement of the sewer drain tends to put it right at the edge of the concrete patio pad for the next sight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been here since Monday, September 3rd and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site (13) we were on overlooks the river and is truly beautiful. The campground is well maintained and the owners and camp hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We will surely be back to visit! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This was our first trip to Townsend and Mountaineer Campground. We really enjoyed our trip. This is a small family owned and operated campground right on the Little River and only 2 miles from the entrance to GSMNP. Our site (12) overlooked the river and we had access to the river to cool off and tube. The pool is very nice - not the newest, but CLEAN and maintained. The bathrooms have a code pinpad for access and security. Any time I went into the bathroom and shower - they were very clean. I really appreciated that. Beautiful mature trees provide shade. We love being outside when we camp, and we all agreed we want to return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites in this campground are small. We had a pull-through site but we had to unhook our car. Getting out was difficult because the sites are so tight. We had to have someone move a car to get out. The road out is very narrow. Good location to see the sites but not good for big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We go out of our way for a KOA. But this KOA let us down. Sites very close together. Dog squeaking all day. 50 amp did not work the night we came in so had to wait until the next day - almost drained our house batteries until we figured out what the problem was. Office did come to fix it immediately the next morning when reported that the 50amp did not work. Laundry very small with only three washers (had a fourth but it only had hot water). Office was pleasant upon check in. Off leash dog park is nice but had to wait for two aggressive dogs to leave. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. The river was great to sit by and just watch. The location to Cades Cove and the Smokies was the best. Great water pressure, electric steady and cable TV worked OK, but not great (note..that may be my equipment not theirs). Easy in and out with our 34 foot with dolly tow, help if you want it but we had no problems. Quiet at night as most traffic doesn't go through the national park at night. The only issue which is common with KOAs is the fairly cramped sites and when another camper pulled in our view to the river from the main body of the RV was blocked, but it didn't bother us much as the sitting area was nice enough. We will be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The environmental ambiance of the Tremont RV Resort is phenomenal, e.g. the babbling brook, the proximity to the Smokey Mountains, and the weather. However that’s where the term Outdoor Resort comes to a screeching halt. I don’t mind paying top dollar ($32.00 per night) for a top dollar site, but I certainly did not expect to pay top dollar for a less than average facility. My first impression of the facility is that it resembles an RV parking lot... The sites are packed within inches of each other, no privacy between sites, no BBQ grills on any of the sites, my site was unpaved, uneven and sloped, the fire rings are rusted through and the majority were filled with water making them useless. The hot water in the showers was warm and nowhere near hot. The attitude at the main office was abysmal at best. This was my first and quite frankly it will be my last visit to this location. Even with the 20% discount it was less than favorable. I would have been madder than a hornet had I paid the $60.00 per night fee during the season. Plenty of other commercial facilities available which I am almost sure are a better value. Two words to describe this place: RIP OFF!!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Spent a week at this park and enjoyed it very much. Off season rate plus discount for 7 night stay made it very reasonable. I don't think I would pay the season rate but then I don't think I would enjoy a visit to Smoky Mountain Nat. Park during season either. It was very busy in November - can't imagine what it would be like during summer holidays. Townsend is a convenient location to Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville attractions but a nice quiet community to escape the commercial traps. Campground was spotless, staff very friendly, sites had space between them and services provided as advertised. Would stay at this location again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for the first time at Tremont this past weekend. Overall, the campground is clean, well maintained and very convenient to Smokey Mountain NP. We were in a 30 amp site on the river and it was nice to have a covered porch at each site, but I questioned myself if it was worth the price and all the noise. I was well aware of the price before we arrived, but the longer we were there, the more I questioned the $65 a night rate. We have stayed at many nice resort RV parks in the Southeast and this is one of the most expensive considering the amenities. This was also a very noisy campground on the "30 amp" side because it fronts a busy highway that is the main SE access into SMNP. After a few days we got used to the road noise, but I would definitely try to get on the "50 amp" side. I have heard negative comments about the management, but we had very little interaction with them. The only time we saw anybody was the morning we were leaving and we were running late. It was 10 minutes before check-out and they came knocking on our door to remind us check-out was 12:00. It was pouring rain all morning and I was running in and out of the rain to put everything up and was waiting for the rain to let up before we hooked up the truck. There is no leniency (even though they were half full) on the checkout time, so be sure you follow the rules. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has changed owners. It is not the same as when the previous owner had it. I was quoted 34.00 per day over the phone six weeks ahead of my reservation which is the same price it showed on the web site. When we arrived for a six day stay, he overcharged us 60.00 stating ownership had changed and the rates had gone up after we questioned his total. I feel I should have been notified of this since they had my contact information. He also has posted no trespassing signs on the trees on the river. Every person that comes down the river on tubes, floats, or boats he calls the law on the for trespassing since they have to step on his property to go around the little damn. I have watched 8 people get tickets from the law for trespassing in two hours this afternoon. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to Smoky Mountain NP, Cades Cove area, within biking/walking distance to grocery, restaurants, Smoky Mtn Heritage Center (check schedule for concerts). Most sites are too small for our Class A RV but we did have a couple to choose from when we arrived mid-week without a reservation. Nice location by one of the small dams on the river making it easy to swim or wade in the river from the campground. Tent area and sites along the river looked very inviting. We camped here in a Motorhome.
