Small RV park on Highway 147 just outside Broaddus, TX. Family owned and maintained. Small, only 4 sites, but quiet, shady and great access to Nearby Rayburn lake. Great for hunters or fishermen. There are no Public restrooms, no showers, just RV sites. Will stay again, and plan on renting a site for Fulltiming. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed here during Spring break 2007. Lots of trees, quiet and peaceful. Waterfront sites are where you can find a spot in your designated area by your electricity and water. No pads or clearly marked sites. Park management will take you to your area and point out the ways people before have set up. Park store has minimum necessities, but a nice grill and gas. View of lake is very nice, with a decent fishing pier and boat slips. We had reservations for 3 nights, but only stayed one due to bad weather. We did ask about a refund for the 2 nights we did not use, but were told “no”, since they had turned away others seeking a reservation but the park was full. There was no consideration for the electricity and water we paid for but did not use. We were also charged for “full service” campsites, not the lesser rate for only the electricity and water available at our site. Close quarter camping, unreasonable staff/policies, and overcharged for provided services. We won’t be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
