A nice quiet park on Lake Bardwell, 20 miles East of Waxahatchie. We stayed in site 21, which had large shade trees on either side of it. New fire rings were provided. Restrooms were clean, but there was no hot water. If we were to return to this area, we would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a nice park close enough to the Dallas area for a weekend getaway. We stayed for two nights, and the park was nice and quiet. There is not much to do there, but it is a great place to get away if that is what you are looking for. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There are 3 parks at Bardwell Lake available for camping. We camped at Mott Park and had a nice lakefront site, which we were able to select online. Even though it was a holiday weekend, the spaces are far enough apart that it did not seem crowded or noisy. Some sites require a lot of leveling, and some are 30-amp only, but the reservation system will tell you this. This is a no-frills park, but the scenery is lovely and a perfect getaway if you want to just get out of town, enjoy nature, and relax. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very nice COE park on Lake Bardwell. Lovely setting. Our only disappointment was that the toilets were pit and the water coming out at the showers had an extremely strong sulfur smell. Strong enough to make you gag. But if you are self-contained, it's no problem. We were there in Nov, so the park was pretty empty. Very friendly workamper staff. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
