Owners and family very friendly and helpful. Some level sites and several not compacted, meaning you could sink tires or levelers on a large rig if the ground is wet. The rates went up to $30 and there are no discounts. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here twice: Once driving east and once traveling west. Both times the owner was extremely helpful and hospitable, showing us to our site when we arrived late the first time we stayed. This is a newer park, so it is still a "work in progress". The sites are not completely level, but we were able to level our Class A without problems. The pull-through sites are quite long, composed of larger gravel which has not thoroughly compacted yet. The interior roads are wide and easy to navigate. The 50 amp electrical hookup worked great. The sewer connection was a long run from where our connections are on our rig, but still doable. We would (and have) stayed here again. Great place to overnight when traveling through a mostly barren part of Texas. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an OK overnight stop if you don't mind unhooking to level a trailer. We were the only travelers in a campground filled with workers, but the sites are huge, grassy, and clean. The workers were quiet, no dogs barking. The only noise was from I-10--there's no sound buffer at all. There are no trees, so this would be a hot place in the summer. No cable or WiFi, but all utilities worked well. It's a little overpriced for what you get, but there's not a lot to choose from out here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Needed an overnight stop on I-10 and this was a perfect location. No frills park in countryside but newer full hook-up sites which are very long pull-thrus. Easy access for all sized rigs but some sites are uneven. Grass and/or gravel sites which owner lets you choose for yourself. Small, rustic bathrooms and showers but clean. Pretty little pond with areas for walking. We would stay here again when driving through the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Good location for the area and right off Interstate. Not fancy, but a couple of brothers working hard to make a go of things. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Park is sparse and has few trees. Fairly level with good hook ups. Close to Shiner and it's world class brewery, but not much else around. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stopped here on our cross country trip from NOLA to WA state. Perfect location for traveler stopover as it is barely 5 minutes off I-10. Sites are grassy, wide, long & level and accommodated our 32' 5th wheel, pick-up truck, and SUV. Showers, bathrooms and laundry were all really clean. Wi-Fi worked great, and although there was no cable TV at the site, the clubhouse has a huge TV that was showing Thursday night football. We always look for RV parks that have nice areas to walk our dog, and this one definitely has that. Fishing pond area has a cut grass path and shade trees to walk around. We would stay here again when in this area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
