This is a very small and very tight RV Park that is usually full of regular "winter Texans" that return every season. They do have an open spot now and then and that is how we ended up there. Many of the other area parks are full in the winter, and finding a place may be difficult. We also were attracted by the price, $150 a month + electric. Unheard of around here. We were going to stop over on the way to Mexico while we took care of our tourist visas, and we ended up staying 5 months. Even though the park is technically closed in the off-season, there is an on-site permanent resident that acts as manager while the owners are away, and they will accommodate travelers. However, the more modern showers and bathrooms will be closed off, and there are no park activities going on. If you get there on season, you will find a close knitted group of Northerners that love to return to this little nook in the middle of nowhere. They have activities going on every day and will usually take group trips to local attractions and restaurants. They also have fishing trips that can be quite fun. The owners are the nicest people you can meet and the residents are just as nice and everyone will do as much as they can to make you feel comfortable. We ended up becoming close to this group and although it may be a while before we return, we have made life-long friendships and have a place to go to whenever we return to the area. Don't expect an extravagant RV park with swimming pools and fancy landscapes. They have a modern rec hall with clean showers and nice laundry. Electric is good. Sites are tight. And you are a little far from the major stores. Mexico is right across the street, but aside from all the rumors you may have heard, there are no problems with Mexican immigrants trying to run through. It is a serene neighborhood with some very nice neighbors who have even invited the RVers over their homes for cookouts. Nice little park for older, retired folks, and maybe older young adults, but not so much for very young who may get bored. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
