Very friendly staff, great paved sites and all are kept very clean. The sites are also spaced apart so that you do not feel cramped. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Part of the Sam Houston National Forest, Cagle Recreation Area is a hidden gem among the Piney Woods. All sites are separated & mostly shaded, with gravel driveways and tent pads. Campfires were allowed when we visited -- check the web site for 'burn bans'. Boat dock within the park for access to Lake Conroe. Concreted hike 'n bike trails through the woods. Sycamore Loop is the one closest to the boat dock & the lake. Some lakeside sites available. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
