To improve this campground, there needs to be someone in the office more. We arrived prior to 5:00 PM, but there was no one there. On Saturday, no one in the office after noon. Left prior to noon and no one in the office. Our balance was posted publicly. There further seems to be a problem reaching them by email as well. The drain screw-in on our site was broken so I had to tie down the attachment to dump. Another phone call to have the site properly repaired. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Just outside of Magnolia, Texas on HWY 1774 near the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds. Sites are long enough for 40' rigs with toads and very level. Some sites are concrete pads and a few have concrete patio areas. No picnic tables and little shade as trees are young and this is a new park. Owner appears to be putting profits into upgrades and this may eventually be a nice park. WI-FI had three towers and worked well. No cable. Only dumpster for trash is at park entrance and a short walk from sites. Water pressure was good. Electric is new and power was very good in the heat of the day when all the A/C's were running. Power pedestals have lights on top at night and is a nice touch. Sites are huge side-to-side and offset so swewer is not across from your door. Roads are narrow and dirt with gravel previously used but needs more gravel at this time. Roads are also a little narrow so one has to be careful pulling out. Fifteen miles from Navasota and Tomball. Magnolia has a variety of restaurants to fulfill more travelers needs. We were here to visit relatives in the area. We camped in a fifth wheel and would stay here again but cable needs to be installed and needs to become a member of a discount club to make the rates a little more attractive. We were able to access the Houston channels. We paid $30./night with no discounts offered. Did not use showers but they were clean and floors were tiled. Shower and flooring is at same level so all water flows to shower drain We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
