We found this park in the Texas Camping Guide after leaving another park that we left. We were very impressed by the cleanness of this park and the how friendly and helpful the staff were. The only complaint we had was that our space was under a shade tree and because of the time of the year we stayed here and the rain, our RV and truck were covered in falling leaves. The heated pool was a real treat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Motorhome sites have very little outdoor space to sit out. Can't pull forward out of sites due to narrow street and vehicles across road, which necessitates backing out of a pull-through site. Staff extremely rude and unfriendly. Don't know how to operate their own computer program for check in. All they seem to be interested in doing is enforcing all their many, inflexible rules. Wi-fi is spotty and unreliable. Only good trait is close to SeaWorld and nice big swimming pool. Have stayed here twice and would not stay here again. Very unpleasant experiences. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The "Luxury" part of their name is a stretch, although the pool area is very nice. No hot tub. This is a family park with lots of families and single guys living there full-time. Lots of kids and dogs. The park has about 10 rows, the back one butting up against the backyards of a neighborhood, separated by a 6' fence. Most people in that neighborhood have dogs that are outside most of the time, and barking at all hours of the day and night. We were in the back row backed up to the fence, so that was a problem. Since there are only about 10 rows, I would guess the dogs could be heard by the majority of the park. Tengointernet was not working the entire month I was there. Cable was good. This park was not for me, but would be great for a family visiting Sea World, as it's very close. Price is based on the monthly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Only complaint would be the noise from the highway which is right next to the park. It was particularly noticeable at night. Other than that, the place was clean and well kept. The sites were large and easy to get into and out of. Staff was friendly. Close to shopping area. Easy to get into the city from the park (took about 15-20 minutes). Not many activities offered. Not a lot of places to walk the dog. Would return if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The term luxury resort should be removed from the name. We stayed in a 45 foot coach and found it tight to get around. The sites are concrete but finding one that was level was difficult. The thing that we did not like was all of the full timers that were here. Many of the sites had clothes hanging outside their trailers. Kids toys, bikes and other boxes and items where stored under trailers. Gave the park a very poor appearance. The dog walking area was small considering all the sites at the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large mobile home park with spacious pull thrus. We were along one side where there was some earth work going on but it stopped at dusk. Not all streets are marked so following map wasn't the easiest. Office stays manned until 9 pm. Most others closed by 5 which seems crazy. Nice lady in office. Premium price since all parks were full, which sucks. Had to bypass cable and use antenna to get network channels. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is OK, the staff is friendly, but the lots for overnight are not at all as nice as on the pictures. The park is very noisy because of the permanents coming and going 24 hours a day. Speed limit is not respected despite of the horrible bumps. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the park was pretty clean. The only complaint we had was the amount of traffic driving through the park. The rear of the park is mostly permanent mobile homes and we were parked on the main road. This is a fairly large park so the traffic started early as people left for work and continued late into the night. They should split the streets into 1-way streets and enforce the speed limits. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is based on a monthly stay. Getting to the park is an exercise in pothole and maintenance cone avoidance, but once on the post the roads, while bumpy, are fairly well maintained. The park itself is extremely well maintained; level concrete pull-through sites and large patio with table and grill, convenient hookups, and lots of room. Propane is available M-F and there are a few RV items in the store. There is no park Wi-Fi or cable, but you're in the middle of a metropolitan area so there is plenty of broadcast TV, and our Verizon data card was on 4G during our stay. If you have mail forwarded, be prepared to navigate a maze of warehouses and loading docks to find the mail room - we opted for the main post office instead. It's one of the best parks in the military, but what makes it less desirable for us is the the train noise. Be prepared for all day, all night trains loudly sounding their horns as they pass within 1/2 mile of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is based on staying for one month. Large pull through sites, considerable space between sites. Always stay here when coming through San Antonio for our annual medical appointments. Easy accessibility to gym, commissary and PX - lots of construction around the entrance gates, but getting better with every visit. Will definitely stay here again. Very friendly and helpful office personnel. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground is okay. It used to be really great but with all the cutbacks it is getting seedy. There is suppose to be a 30 day limit and extended if medical is needed. There is one camper there that has an upside down satellite dish on top of it and I know its been there over 4 years as I check it out each year when I come back for the winter and it is always in the same spot month after month. Guess it's all in who you know. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Arrived expecting to spend a week or so; checked out 4 months later. Parking your rig and an extra vehicle or two is easy here. Loved my stay here, and will return often since San Antonio is my home base. Sites are large enough and on full concrete (on the 20 some full service sites). The only gripe I had about this place, like many military camps, is the requirement to move your RV every 30 days and spend 24 hours in a overflow site, or off the base, before you can come back. I had no problem returning to a full service site each time I had to do the 30 day "penalty box" parking. About half the full service sites had adequate shade trees. All pull through sites are on cinder rock and offer no shade at all (until the newly planted trees grow up). Be sure to use the Growden Gate when towing your rig on/off the base. Some guards will allow you to TRY pulling your rig into some of the other gates - they are not supposed to do that - but you WILL damage your rig if it is more than 25ft long, including the tow vehicle on the security posts at the various gates. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay if you're in San Antonio. There are two types of sites, and we used both. There are full hook ups which include cable TV, and there are partial hook up sites which have just water and electric. There is a dump station on the premises. The wi-fi worked well. We streamed movies from Netflix for the kids without any problems. Overall, another great Famcamp! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great place to stay if you want to go downtown. Very clean showers, laundry, bathrooms, and day room with TV, a few books, games, and mag's. Friendly staff. Close to downtown 15 minutes. No diesel on post. Pull throughs have no shade or tables and are gravel but fairly level. Very quite. Large dog run with pick up bag dispensers. I would stay here again. This is an older park that has not seen many upgrades in recent years. Most of the water hookups are on the wrong side of the sites. Old asphalt sites with a small concrete patio. Laundry available with reasonable prices. Management is friendly and helpful as they are RV'ers themselves. If you are looking for a resort park this is not it! This is a basic older park with no frills. It is relatively clean but the grass has overgrown many of the sites. It is gated at night and on weekends. Park is good for overnight or for touring San Antonio. Easy access to Hwy. 90 and loop 410. Convenient to Lackland AFB and the usual shopping stores. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent 2 nights here. This is not a great place, but the price was right, and we were able to ride our bikes into downtown San Antonio to see the Riverwalk, and the Alamo, plus a couple of missions along the way. The nicest part of this park is the entrance, which is very nice, but it goes downhill from there. Most of the sites are occupied long term...the grass is not mowed, and the sites are not very level. I would not stay here again. Rate quoted is Passport America. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Generally agree with the previous posted comments on the overall looks of the park. However, it worked fine for us. We simply used it as a base when spending a week here seeing the sites in San Antonio. It is adequate for that and very convenient to driving downtown or riding the bus, as we did. It is NOT a resort, but the manager and employees are friendly and helpful. Helped us hook up the water, sewer and electric when we experience a problem. It is not a bad place to stay. This park is located in central San Antonio and is perfect for day trips to "The Riverwalk/ Alamo/ downtown area". I noticed several groups of campers taking the bus for approx $2 roundtrip. The bus stop is literally 100 yards from the front gate. Plus, park is easy access to I-35 and I-10. Great team at office, field, etc. All showers, restrooms, pool, playground, sites all clean. Lots of shade and space, picnic table, grill, cable, sewer. Great time for all. Will come again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 2 nights while sightseeing in the San Antonio area. The park is quiet and clean. Its terrain is typical of the Texas hill country (rocky, not much grass). Note that there is a huge grassy area with kids play equipment near the bathrooms which worked out perfect for our pets (yes, we picked up after them). The site was level and the roads easy for our 35' Trailer+ 20' Truck to get around in. The management was very accommodating and responded quickly to our emails. We had good Data service with Verizon. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had read good reviews of this RV park in the Texas Travel and Camping Guide and decided this is the RV park we were going to stay in. However, when we pulled into the park to register the office was closed in the middle of the day on a Sunday. Sign in the driveway said to pick a space and they would come register us the next day. We pulled in to find a space and the park is old and unkept with gravel roads and spaces and weeds growing up around the permanent residents in the park. We pulled out of the park and found another RV park to stay in for a week. We talked to at least three other RV'ers at the new park we stayed at and discovered they had done the same thing we had, which was to pull in and make the decision to leave. I would not recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Price reflects a 10% AAA membership discount. This is an older, wooded park located in the outskirts of San Antonio with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. The owners appear to be fairly laid back. The office was closed when we arrived. The sign said to find a site and they’d catch up to us later. We did and the next day around 10am, someone stopped by with a registration form and asked us to drop it off at the office before 5pm. The sites are gravel and grass, fairly level, and big. The restrooms, showers, and laundry are all older buildings, but very roomy and clean. It appeared that the majority of residents were long-term, but their sites were relatively clean, and the park had a quiet atmosphere even during the evening. The Mexican restaurant that another reviewer mentioned was closed the five nights we were there. There was a “Restaurant For Lease†sign at the front of the park. The only difficulty we had was with the wi-fi. We didn’t purchase the park’s wi-fi since we have a Sprint Hot Spot. But, our hot spot worked horribly the entire time we were there. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice location. Close to the Riverwalk area and the Missions as well as the Alamo. Nice pool and nice laundry facility. We stayed here a week and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a gorgeous campground!!! Bathrooms were always immaculate. There's people on golf carts constantly cleaning things up. This is one of the cleanest parks we've ever been to. Palm trees everywhere. Only a few miles from the riverwalk area. There's also a bus that comes every few minutes that takes you there. Walmart and restaurants are close. The park is not in the best part of town, but once you're there- you forget about that. It was nice and quiet, and the people were friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful and clean campground with large pullthroughs and backups. It is very well maintained and taken care of. You can bike into San Antonio along the rio. As we were there they were still working on it, it will be completed end 2013. Bus stop into downtown is across the street from the campground. Worth while to stay. We camped here with PPA 50% discount. We will come back for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
