Even though this park is run by the county, it is located on Ft. Pickett and used mostly by long term military personnel stationed there. There are very few sites available for temporary campers. They are various sizes and not level. There are showers and restrooms available in one of the old barracks, with a port-a-potty located in the campground. There is also an old playground that hasn't been maintained. We stayed here for 2 weeks so we could visit our daughter who works on Ft. Pickett and lives nearby. There were no other campgrounds within 50 miles that could accommodate our 35' fifth wheel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a former military campground located on Fort Pickett. It is now run by the county and is open to the public. Very friendly with a 30-day+ rate of $8 per day. Call 434 298-0366 for info and reservations. We camped here in a Motorhome.
