This park is beautiful especially during the week when they have fewer campers. Only 5 people using it for most of the week we were here. Locals fill it up pretty good on the weekends. Lots of small campers and tents. The park is about 30 minutes from any stores or services. That 30 minute drive from Pulaski is on roads that are pretty narrow. It would be tough in many spots to pass another larger RV without slowing to a crawl (if at that). Just before you get to the campsites, is a very steep left turn and you need to take care not to run into a ditch. Our 5th wheel is 32 feet and someone with a 35 foot 5th wheel made it in also. I'm told they don't get many motorhomes due to length. All that being said, I think we liked the park more than any other we have been in. It's a beautiful place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Because we live nearby, we have camped here many times. It's a beautiful and peaceful campground that is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. The sites are generally spacious and level, and include a concrete pad, fire ring and picnic table. There is one bathhouse in the campground which is very old but is adequately clean. Metal fishing boats are available to rent for a small charge. There is a playground for the kids but no swimming area or other amenities. Although it's a lovely campground, unless you enjoy fishing there's really not much to do here but enjoy the scenery. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a real pretty CG right on the reservoir. Recently re-modeled. It's about a 6+ mile drive outside of the town (2-lane road)But worth the drive! It is more of a "destination", rather than an "overnight" stop due to being about a half-hour drive from I-81, we'll go back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
