I always review from the perspective of a dad with lots of little kids. We had fun at this state park. The lake is great for swimming, kayaking, or rowing (no motor boats allowed). There is a trail to hike around the lake. This is a popular swimming hole and the beach area fills up every day, even week days, with day use folks. There is also a nice playground, picnic area, and softball field. There is a small store there that sells food, ice, and firewood. The sites were nice. We had #12. I backed our 24' trailer into it with no problem. We could not put our awning out as we were so close to a tree, but that didn't matter as we were under a canopy of trees. The restrooms were clean and the showers worked fine. There are about 10 utility sites and a dump station on the way out. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed four nights with our disabled vet's state pass at zero cost. (We had to put $1 in order to write this review. It would not take a zero amount.) A very small, quiet, family friendly campground. Very curvy turns with lots of trees for our 38' 5th wheel, but can be done. Relatively flat grounds. The host was helpful and we would definitely stay again. Had T-Mobile cell service and AT&T aircard service with no problem. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a wonderful state park. We camped in a 31' travel trailer and the road was a little tough to navigate but my husband managed. You couldn't ask for a better swim area for children. The lake was clear and warm and there was alot of sand to protect the feet. The restrooms in the campground were not the best: a little dirty for my liking. The restrooms by the lake were much cleaner. The only issue we had was the dump station was full when we left the campground so we had to doubleback on the freeway to use one at a reststop. We will definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We like this park the layout is very nice, lots of people when we camped here. The place is always booked so reserve early. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Only 6 hookup sites available at this park and all are in a deep woods setting. The small lake is stocked with trout and a very popular fishing spot. Lake also has nice roped off swimming area for the kids (none under 4 allowed in the water). Many folks had kayaks, inflatable rafts, canoes, and small row boats. Motor boats are not allowed on the lake. Close to the lake is a small concession stand with hot dogs, other small snacks, and bait. This campground also has a nice little playground and a couple of large open areas. There's also several covered locations for group functions. We camped here in a Motorhome.
